I had Door Dashed an order of Cornish Jerkhouse's ribs several months ago, They were overly chewy, but I loved the flavor. Today's my first time to stop in, and I'm so glad I did. I ordered the Friday Catfish Special with okra. It didn't take before they brought my order to the table, but long enough for me to know they weren't just pulling it out of a warming tray. The catfish is great. It was cooked just right. The pieces were nice and meaty, the breading was good without being overly salty, and it had just the right touch of smoke. I normally like a little tartar or hot sauce with my catfish, but I don't want anything covering up the smokiness. I'll definitely be back, and you should stop by too. Lord knows I've overcooked ribs on occasion, so I'm not going to hold one time against them. But you need to try the catfish. read more

Came on a Saturday around 2:30 for a part of 15 they don't open until 1 pm. This was my first time here, once you walk in you can order I love that they had some good music on and it wasn't packed. My husband and I absolutely fell in love with jerk on our honeymoon in Ocho Rios. Since then we always try to find Jamaican food locally which is not easy! The jerk seasoning here is SPICY and delicious! Definitely worth the longer wait for our food because it seemed fresh. Plantains are my favorite Jamaican side and they didn't disappoint here although they are sweeter than what I've had previously and be prepared for them to come out piping hot in a sticky sauce. The one thing I will say is that the prices are a little higher than what I would like to spend regularly on BBQ even if it is tasty! And the atmosphere is generally pretty loud so maybe not the best for small children but all in all it's a great place and I would love to come back and try more of the sides. read more

The service was absolutely poor. I placed an online order totaling over $60 and was quoted a 35-minute wait time. When I arrived, I still had to stand in line for about 7 minutes just to pick up my prepaid order, even though there was no separate line for online pickups. The staff member said all orders were handled the same, which defeats the purpose of ordering ahead. After finally getting to the counter, I was told that one of the sides I ordered wasn't available--something that wasn't indicated when I placed the order online. While trying to resolve it, the server kept his back turned to me as he filled BBQ sauce containers. When he did take my replacement order, his attitude came across as rude and dismissive. To make matters worse, I originally paid for a premium side but was given a regular one instead, with no offer to refund or adjust the difference in price. I got home and there wasn't any cornbread with my orders. Overall, this experience was frustrating and disappointing. This place has such good vibes and the staff is so nice. Let me tell you about the ribs. They are so tender and I just love their sauce. There are different types of sauce to choose from a mild to spicy. Of course I got the jerk sauce on my ribs which was absolutely delicious . When they say they're falling off the bone, they really are falling off the bones. My sides were fries and the Jamaican rice. The Jamaican rice has a really good flavor. It also has a bar with plenty of drinks to choose from. I highly recommend this restaurant.. Really had high hopes for this place. Walked in and it smelt amazing food looked good on the pictures however, my catfish was undercooked and the mac was mediocre. Spent $21 dollars on a dinner only to eat the rice. My advice cook the fish fully and not serve pink food that can get someone sick. read more

Went in on a weekday and they weren't too busy. When you walk in there's a line to order at the counter, and only one couple was ahead of me. I already had an idea of what I wanted so ordering was very quick. The burnt ends were delicious, but not the best I've had here in the City. The smoke flavor adds a nice touch, but the smoke was the only flavor you got from the meat. I made good use of the house bbq sauce. The sides were packed full of flavor. The greens were delicious and the mac and cheese was so creamy. They do put a bit of chopped pepper in the mac which didn't bother me, but may offend some. I paid just under $30 for one meal which is far from cheap for my usual; but I was able to eat on this plate for two meals. On a very rainy day in Oklahoma City, we decided to stop into Cornish Jerkhouse to grab to go dinner. We did not expect this place to be bad, but didn't expect it to be so amazing since we haven't heard to much buzz. Well the word should be out now! This place is amazing! We really wanted to try their oxtail dinner, but they were already sold out. To us that is a sign to get in earlier the next time. So we changed plans. My boyfriend chose the two meat dinner with ribs and smoked chicken. His sides were Jamaican rice and plantains. I had the three wing dinner tossed in honey bbq sauce with greens and sweet potatoes. Neither disappointed! The highlight were my babies ribs! OMG!! The flavor was spot on! Amazing! All the other items were great. I wasn't a huge fan of the greens, but I'm a vinegar girl and needed a bit more of a kick. They still were good though. We will have to come back to try the oxtails and have drinks. customer service was not good. also the food wait is soo long. we waited for over 30 minutes. we got handed the wrong food and then had to wait some more and all that wait just for the food to be disgusting. the shrimp was overly seasoned with cajun & i chose grilled and they wasn't even grilled, the rice was hard and not cooked all the way and had zero flavor to it and the mac and cheese was just not good.. it dont even look or taste like mac and cheese it tasted like just regular pasta. my husband ordered the loaded fries and it tasted like nail polish and was overly seasoned. too dark in there, not a good vibe. read more
