My best friend and I visited this restaurant recently and it was an amazing experience! We accidentally arrived 15 minutes until closing and we were going to leave as to not upset the staff and to honor their closing processes. They were so gracious and insisted that we would not be interrupting their shut down process. The lady that took out orders was kind and knowledgeable about the menu and the owner even came out to ask about our experience. The jerk fries were perfectly portioned with chicken, cheese and seasonings. The jerk wings were huge and my favorite was the bourbon honey wings. We cannot wait to return and try something else! read more

The food was delicious! Only thing I would change is that the music was extremely loud and made it difficult to visit with others at the table. Plaintains were extra yummy! read more

Closest thing I can get to Jamaican food and it was very tasty. Loved the plantains, they were sweet! The jerk ribs were tasty too. Could've been a bit more 'falling off the bone' for me but I enjoyed it. The service here was great! loved the indoor and outdoor seating. Now I know where to go to get my jerk food fix! Definitely check them out read more

I had Door Dashed an order of Cornish Jerkhouse's ribs several months ago, They were overly chewy, but I loved the flavor. Today's my first time to stop in, and I'm so glad I did. I ordered the Friday Catfish Special with okra. It didn't take before they brought my order to the table, but long enough for me to know they weren't just pulling it out of a warming tray. The catfish is great. It was cooked just right. The pieces were nice and meaty, the breading was good without being overly salty, and it had just the right touch of smoke. I normally like a little tartar or hot sauce with my catfish, but I don't want anything covering up the smokiness. I'll definitely be back, and you should stop by too. Lord knows I've overcooked ribs on occasion, so I'm not going to hold one time against them. But you need to try the catfish. read more

This place was mentioned by J-Dub in a local interview when they asked if there were any restaurants he loved, and all I can say is thanks! The food here is fantastic. read more

The food was AMAZING! I ordered the Bourbon Jerk House chicken wings with yams and mac & cheese, and everything was so flavorful. The portion was filling and definitely worth the price. My boyfriend got the 3-meat combo with ribs, and it was SO good too! We're big foodies and hardly ever have leftovers, but at Cornish Jerk House we actually had plenty left to take home. The portions are huge! And let me just say... the oxtails with gravy were THE BOMB! The meat was literally falling off the bone and was seasoned perfectly. Our total came to about $60, but honestly, it was worth every penny. Great food, generous portions, and we'll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend! read more

The thing that stuck out to me the most was how horrible the customer Service was. The cashier was the only nice employee in the building. The oxtails - I had high hopes for but they were bland to me and my pasta was OILY! read more

I order from here once a week. I'm honestly extremely disappointed today especially with how many times I've ordered from here before. I called before to ask the owner to plz staple the bag for my safety because i don't trust door dashers. And he said he would but he didn't. Also I don't know if they got a new chef but today it was madddd dry. Every single piece!!! Basically choking it down and its so dry when i try to fold it together it doesn't even break its so mf tough. I'm so disappointed this was my fav place read more

My husband and I absolutely fell in love with jerk on our honeymoon in Ocho Rios. Since then we always try to find Jamaican food locally which is not easy! The jerk seasoning here is SPICY and delicious! Definitely worth the longer wait for our food because it seemed fresh. Plantains are my favorite Jamaican side and they didn't disappoint here although they are sweeter than what I've had previously and be prepared for them to come out piping hot in a sticky sauce. The one thing I will say is that the prices are a little higher than what I would like to spend regularly on BBQ even if it is tasty! And the atmosphere is generally pretty loud so maybe not the best for small children but all in all it's a great place and I would love to come back and try more of the sides. read more

Five star everything! I was skeptical of coming in because of the recent bad reviews, but this place is top-notch! The young man who greeted me when I walked in was very respectful! I ordered the burnt ends combo. When I tell you they are so good andseasoned perfectly. The best burnt ends I've ever had in my entire life! The collard greens are great and the mac & cheese is phenomenal. I'm coming back tomorrow! 10/10!!! read more

I'm from East Texas and have been looking for good soul food to touch the Soul. The Turkey Leg was Smoked ALL the way to the bone. Being a Chef myself and having a small catering business this place DID NOT disappoint. Staff were amazing, friendly and very helpful to talk me through what to pick. Felt at home as they were jamming 90s-00s R&B. It's safe to say I will be going back soon since my work assignment has been extended here in OKC. Whole experience was a vibe and they make you feel right at home from the moment you walk through the doors read more

This place has such good vibes and the staff is so nice. Let me tell you about the ribs. They are so tender and I just love their sauce. There are different types of sauce to choose from a mild to spicy. Of course I got the jerk sauce on my ribs which was absolutely delicious . When they say they're falling off the bone, they really are falling off the bones. My sides were fries and the Jamaican rice. The Jamaican rice has a really good flavor. It also has a bar with plenty of drinks to choose from. I highly recommend this restaurant.. PS I usually take pictures of the food but when they brought it out, I just start eating it and forgot to take a picture.. read more

The service was absolutely poor. I placed an online order totaling over $60 and was quoted a 35-minute wait time. When I arrived, I still had to stand in line for about 7 minutes just to pick up my prepaid order, even though there was no separate line for online pickups. The staff member said all orders were handled the same, which defeats the purpose of ordering ahead. After finally getting to the counter, I was told that one of the sides I ordered wasn't available--something that wasn't indicated when I placed the order online. While trying to resolve it, the server kept his back turned to me as he filled BBQ sauce containers. When he did take my replacement order, his attitude came across as rude and dismissive. To make matters worse, I originally paid for a premium side but was given a regular one instead, with no offer to refund or adjust the difference in price. I got home and there wasn't any cornbread with my orders. Overall, this experience was frustrating and disappointing. There's definitely room for improvement in both communication and customer service. read more

If you want some good smoked meats with some great sides to go along then this is your place! The hours are a bit different but it is worth the effort. Only negative thing I would say is that it does take awhile for the food to come out but then again, it's always worth it. read more

Really had high hopes for this place. Walked in and it smelt amazing food looked good on the pictures however, my catfish was undercooked and the mac was mediocre. Spent $21 dollars on a dinner only to eat the rice. My advice cook the fish fully and not serve pink food that can get someone sick. read more

Went in on a weekday and they weren't too busy. When you walk in there's a line to order at the counter, and only one couple was ahead of me. I already had an idea of what I wanted so ordering was very quick. The burnt ends were delicious, but not the best I've had here in the City. The smoke flavor adds a nice touch, but the smoke was the only flavor you got from the meat. I made good use of the house bbq sauce. The sides were packed full of flavor. The greens were delicious and the mac and cheese was so creamy. They do put a bit of chopped pepper in the mac which didn't bother me, but may offend some. I paid just under $30 for one meal which is far from cheap for my usual; but I was able to eat on this plate for two meals. I took my food togo, but they have plenty of seating and a bar if you'd like to dine in and enjoy the vibe. I highly recommend, but make sure your money's right before you go. read more

Cornish Jerkhouse - Burnt ends, mac and cheese, greens - Turkish Near Me - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

On a very rainy day in Oklahoma City, we decided to stop into Cornish Jerkhouse to grab to go dinner. We did not expect this place to be bad, but didn't expect it to be so amazing since we haven't heard to much buzz. Well the word should be out now! This place is amazing! We really wanted to try their oxtail dinner, but they were already sold out. To us that is a sign to get in earlier the next time. So we changed plans. My boyfriend chose the two meat dinner with ribs and smoked chicken. His sides were Jamaican rice and plantains. I had the three wing dinner tossed in honey bbq sauce with greens and sweet potatoes. Neither disappointed! The highlight were my babies ribs! OMG!! The flavor was spot on! Amazing! All the other items were great. I wasn't a huge fan of the greens, but I'm a vinegar girl and needed a bit more of a kick. They still were good though. We will have to come back to try the oxtails and have drinks. The weather didn't hold off long enough for us to do so. Oh and did I mention they have amazing tvs and hookahs available?! Great new spot in Oklahoma City. Show them support! read more

Oxtails were I could only eat the side small ones before getting full, so I still had the four big ones for the next day and hubby was able to eat two of those. The greens and rice and peas were so flavorful! We had the owners' daughter as our server and she was fun, helpful and knowledgeable! We will definitely be back. read more

First and foremost, the ambiance in there was set, you felt welcome right off the bat. I really love the fact you order & pay for your food before you sit down. Speaking of which the food was honestly pretty good. I will say if you're not a fan of smokey flavors this might not be for you. A group of 3 of us went and my friend chatted up someone working the bar, it might've been the owner cause he checked on us a couple of times. Anyways he got himself a drink, he said it was really good, he ordered the rib dinner as did my husband. I ordered the catfish and I was thrown off by the smokey flavor, but after a couple of bites & some hot sauce I was into it! I also got the fried okra and the Jamaican rice as my sides. The okra was just simply okra, although I did enjoy the way it was fried. The rice was to die for I highly recommend, it's got a little kick to it I'll admit but if you're not worried about that you're fine. Overall we had a really great time, the lady who came to check on us was super sweet! Honestly everyone was checking on us and I absolutely adored it! I will totally come back again! read more

I was too excited to eat to take any pictures but, let me tell you... bomb! Who knew I needed Jamaican BBQ in my life. Ribs, delicious. Fried plantains, top notch. The corn bread, just mmmmm*drools*. I highly recommend since we drove all the way from Norman and plan of doing so again real soon. read more

Wanted sliced brisket, so I went to another restaurant, and the guy had no clue what sliced brisket was and said that what he gave me (pulled pork) was sliced brisket. Well, my husband who is a big fan of Cornish Jerkhouse, picks up the phone and places an order for sliced brisket and tells me not to worry, these people will do me right. customer service was not good. also the food wait is soo long. we waited for over 30 minutes. we got handed the wrong food and then had to wait some more and all that wait just for the food to be disgusting. the shrimp was overly seasoned with cajun & i chose grilled and they wasn't even grilled, the rice was hard and not cooked all the way and had zero flavor to it and the mac and cheese was just not good.. it dont even look or taste like mac and cheese it tasted like just regular pasta. my husband ordered the loaded fries and it tasted like nail polish and was overly seasoned. too dark in there, not a good vibe. read more
