Really delicious - love that you can order according to your spice preference. We eat super spicy food all the time, and hot really does mean HOT here - my husband actually orders a medium level spice, which amuses me every time. I order it lite mild. So just be aware that hot might actually burn your esophagus, and adjust accordingly. The guys love the two slider meal, and the rest of us get the 10 tender bites with either mac and cheese or fries. I love that I can order ahead on the app. They also sell a pretty nice tailgate to go. I do get locked out of the app pretty frequently, but the rewards are nice. Service is friendly, and the atmosphere is great. They have the games playing on tv, too. read more

Been to this location a couple of times now, I've never have any issues with the food and service is always good. However, the only thing that gets me is, their outdoors seating is always wet and both times I've gone I couldn't sit outside. read more

I've always liked Dave's Hot Chicken. Not a bad bang for your buck meal. Ventured out of my usual and ordered the sliders. I don't recommend. it might be a nice marketing niche for some kids to share but they fall apart and they're just a nugget on a slider roll. You're better suited to Just order the sandwich and stay away from the sliders. read more

After seeing all the hype about Dave's Hot Chicken, we decided to check it out--and honestly, it lives up to it! The chicken was super fresh and full of flavor. The staff was great too--one of the employees walked us through all the heat levels so we knew exactly what we were getting into. The place itself was clean, service was quick, and the whole vibe was really laid back. We also loved the wall murals--fun to look at while you're waiting. Overall, awesome experience. Definitely not just hype--definitely will be a repeat customer. read more

Found my new favorite chicken place. Second time we went in the last few weeks. When we drive in from out of town, we stop here. We are wimps and order the mild but it is so good. Try the chicken with honey, adds a great flavor. We ordered Dave's bites and loaded fries which fed my wife and me. read more

My husband and I wanted to try something new so we stopped here. I ordered the "hot" chicken tenders. He ordered "medium". Mine had way more flavor but definitely was more spicy. It tasted like the rub has curry. For tenders, I thought the portions were good. The Mac and cheese was decent. I liked having the pickles. The bread was unnecessary to me. I tried the sauce and didn't care for it. It reminded me of Big Mac sauce. All good but not super memorable. The guy that took our order was polite and answered all our questions. read more

For Oklahoma hot chicken, this place is great. I've traveled a bit and had hot chicken in other parts of the country that I preferred over DHC, but this place hits the spot. I'd say the slider is much more akin to a sandwich than a slider. When I think slider, I usually have 2-3 and it's just the right amount. These "sliders" are huge and from now on, I'll just be getting one and maybe a tender if I'm super hungry. The meal needs acid to best complement the spice. I like to order extra pickles. The fries, as all fries are, best when they are piping hot. We've been to DHC a few times and the hot and fresh fries can be hit and miss, but they've never been cold, just less hot and fresh. The young team at this location was really great. Service at this location is 5/5. I love the option to eat out on the patio. Their main dining room is bright, colorful and fun, but it was a bit too chilly the other night we were there and choosing to eat outside worked out well. Bonus for this location: it has a drive thru. June 2024 read more

We love coming to this new Edmond location and Bricktown okc. The service is always friendly and fast. We love the sliders and fries. The prices are good. The chicken is always delicious and very filling. They even serve alcohol too in the form of blended drinks & beer. Great spot to hang out with friends and many photo ops. The decor is really fun with all the graffiti type walls . Take advantage of outside seating during warm days Would highly recommend. read more

So glad to see a Dave's in Edmond. Mostly because I don't have to deal with the downtown parking. It's still the same great taste, staff, and decor. The only thing I wish this location had is a covered patio. I'm not sure if the nuggets are a new menu item but they are so incredibly delicious. Make sure to snag those if you haven't tried them! read more

I've been hearing a lot of good things about Dave's Hot Chicken and was honestly hesitant to try it because of all the hype. Well, it's exactly what I thought...just ok. I mean, not a large selection on the menu and 7 seasonings/heats to select from when you order. I like spicy but was told the hot was too spicy so I went with medium and mild on my sliders. I honestly couldn't tell the difference between the two. The fries are good but we're super salty. I would try it again, a hotter spice, but not just running to try them anytime soon. I did enjoy the fun atmosphere with the graffiti walls. read more

Good location. Nice to have the drive through. Recommended by my son so I wanted to like it. Got the #1 with two strips in medium. First taste, without sauce tasted like chili powder and cayenne, not really my thing. I did like it better once I put the sauce on it. I can see why some people love it, just not me. read more

On our way back from Texas, we stopped in to see what all the rave was about. Here is our experience: Location: 9/10 D.H.C is located in what seemed like a suburb in OK, right off the highway. I thought it was a cool spot with ample parking, and it seems like a newer location. Customer Service 8.5/10 We ate in and it is mainly counter service. They give you a number after you order. Everyone was pretty laid back and personable. They seemed to enjoy working with each other and having a good time. Urban Flair: 9/10 Ambiance and good music is a plus. We enjoyed the open concept with lots of natural lighting and cool wall art. There were also plenty of TVs showing sports and modern decor, which brought a nice vibe. It was pretty dead for a Sunday afternoon, which surprised me. The bathrooms only allow one person at a time, which kinda sucks. Especially if you are road tripping and need to stop. We did have to wait a few to use the facilities. Food: 8/10 We waited about ten minutes before we were called for our food. The chicken - which I got mild, had really great flavor and was very tender. For fast food mac and cheese, it was okay. I would not get it again. Their sauce reminded me of Cane's, but with more flavor. The food was hot, fresh and it had good flavor and appreciated the decent portions, which was the perfect amount. Our meal was $30 which is standard for the two of us to eat out. Overall: 8.6/10 The food was decent and we enjoyed the ambiance! We will be sure to try the one in KC, but as far as this location, I would come back for sure! read more

I'd say go to check it out. Food was hot and fresh, not as spicy as I thought, but worth a visit. I also only got medium heat level

I have heard a lot of great things about Dave's Hot Chicken. I was delighted when I saw that a non meat option was available! The sliders were very tasty. The breading could use a bit more seasoning or maybe more slaw in the slider itself but all in all it was very good. I just love all fries and wasn't disappointed in these. The service was very friendly and I will come back. Next time I will order a spicier cauliflower slider. That may be what I was missing today. I ordered a medium spice. read more

Simple walk in and order, food came quickly while fairly busy. Good spice n heat but not over bearing, I had the tender and slider combo, do recommend that. Add the mac n cheese to help with the heat. Good simple menu. My teenage boys loved it. Will come back. Food was fresh n very warm. And the limited beer/cocktail menu was a good add on for a nice adult finisher to the meal read more

We've ate here a few times and it's always been great! Highly recommend. Kid friendly too!

Not a bad little joint for some hot chicken, and get this, it isn't a million bucks and you get a surprising amount of food! I got the mild tenders and honestly mild is a little bit of a stretch, it was not very spicy at all, but it was delicious and perfectly cooked! Their Mac and cheese is also pretty decent, didn't need salt, which is rare. This is a Fast food+ type of place, but on a fast food budget which was a pleasant surprise. The inside was nice and clean and the staff was actually friendly too which is also rare. Just an FYI, one tender is almost enough for a light lunch, this isn't like caines or something, so don't over order! An order of two tenders can definitely be split for lunch in my opinion. Even the side you get is a larger size. Overall, I'm impressed and I'll be back! read more

With Chicken in the name, you should be good at it. This is not the case. It should be titled Dave's hot sauce. It does not matter what object you place it on as it will taste the same. There is very little effort placed into how the chicken tastes. It is about the sauce and the hype. Very underwhelming! read more

Extremely limited menu. If you dont want fingers or bites, you are out of luck. I ordered the HOT chicken sandwich. The chicken was tender and with a good level of spice, but the coating was pretty oily. The fries were room temperature by the time we got around to them because it was COLD in the eating area. Catsup was only available in packets (boo!). Concrete floors, uncomfortable seats, loud environment. We won't be going back read more

I came here with some friends for girls night and I would definitely return. The food is fresh, has great taste and seasoning, and give a lot of food per plate. First time eating Dave's Hot Chicken. I ordered it and got it to go. My boyfriend and I don't usually order chicken as we eat a lot at home. But I ordered it for my mom and this looked liked something I wanted to try. VARY pleasantly surprised. My boyfriend and I ordered the #4, medium, and the amount of flavor and seasoning on the chicken blew us away! So much flavor on chicken which can sometimes be bland and dry. My boyfriend thought the medium heat was perfect, but I love heat and will absolutely do the hot next time. The bun was very nice with the chicken. The pickles were delightful too, not your average pickle from a jar. I recommend this place if you like lots of flavor and good chicken. I didn't think it was over priced for a new and non-fast food chain. read more

Good Chicken for sure! Stop in and grab some chicken to go or dine in! Large portion served.

Amazing customer service! Food was PERFECT! The ambience was chill, and the employees were excellent!

This impeccably clean restroom is a much needed repose from the crippling elements of Oklahoma weather. The white subway tile sweeps you away to the public transit systems of a major metropolitan city, yet its cleanliness brings you back to the warm comfort of southern hospitality. I will admit, I was concerned prior to entering a restroom of a restaurant where their business model relies on spicing poultry to the extreme, often leading to the meal being expungend shortly after being consumed. 4 Stars for this lovely Hot Chicken restroom, 1 star deducted for the afterburn. read more

Love Dave's Hot Cicken the food here is delicious !!!! So glad they added one in Edmond finally. Chicken is always 10/10 and I love that the spice on it is a dry rub so it doesn't get soggy ! The fries and good as well. I'm not a fan of coleslaw but their kale slaw is so so so good especially on the sandwiches. Some of the best chicken I've ever had! If you like Canes this is the most similar thing I would compare it to but a much more elevated version! *Also this location is now on Doordash and Uber eats !!!!* read more

Loved the options/degrees of heat. The chicken was moist and cooked perfectly. Big portions / Great atmosphere.

Holy hot chicken mama. So my husband is a hot chicken aficionado and we've been to a bunch of places like this and I always leave just not really getting "it" when it comes to the whole hot chicken movement. Eating overly salty, overly spicy fried chicken is just meh to me and I usually end up feeling like crap after eating stuff like this anyway so it's never really worth it to me. Dave has figured out the magic though. I finally ate a spicy fried chicken sandwich and everything just made sense to me about this type of food!! Since I've first eaten here, I've been back more than I care to admit and I'm not mad about it. The chicken is perfectly crispy every dang time and perfectly seasoned every dang time! The bun the sandwich is on is soft, fluffy and a slightly sweet compliment to the salty, spicy chicken--I even love the dang slaw on the sandwich, which is made with kale btw! Hands down, the best spicy fried chicken anything I've ever had. I dined in recently and found out this place started in LA in CA and that's where I'm from SO could also just be my bias that most of the best food I've eaten in my life is in California--either way, eat this chicken, you will not be disappointed. Dave, if you read this, I love you and I love your hot chicken. The. End. read more
