My mom had a virus on her computer that I was able to diagnosis remotely, but fixing it remotely was going to be a nightmare. She had Cornerstone fix it and they were extremely courteous and helpful. She had then pick up and return the machine because of its size and her level of technical savvy. I can't reccomend this place enough. I bought an external hard drive at Staples for $109, and within a couple of months the port that connects it to the computer broke. Nice for having used it a couple of times... It had all of my family photos backed up on it, so I took it to these guys, they took it apart, put the hard drive inside into a much better quality housing that they sold for $30, and I think the labor was about the same. Total bill around $50-60. So they not only saved my hard drive, but saved me from having to spend another $109 bucks for a new hard drive. I now have a really high quality hard drive. While I was in there, I noticed that a lot of the equipment they sell is around the same price as staples or less, and looks much nicer. (My new hard drive is almost all metal, where the one from Staples was all plastic.) To boot, they were extremely friendly and took plenty of time to explain all of my computer questions. They acted like they really appreciated my business and I don't see a lot of that today. I will use them in the future for any computer needs I have! read more

They diagnosed my computer in a timely manner and a reasonable price. They spoke in terms I understood without making me feel stupid (I'm not very tech savvy). The only reason it's not 5 star is no one is perfect. I requested a custom built computer - video editing quality. Which, if you didn't know, is extremely resource intensive. So, they built it to spec, made professional recommendations for improvement, and delivered under estimated time. 3k less than the bid Renaissance gave me and I received a better machine. read more

I don't even know where to begin explaining the excellent service we received from Cornerstone Computers. I live in Las Vegas and my elderly grandparents are residents of Eureka. With so much of our family living in different geographical areas; Facebook is one of the ways for them to keep in touch, watch their grandkids' families and see all the things their great-grandkids are up to. For almost a year they have been without the ability to get on the internet and Facebook. I called Cornerstone Computers to see if they could help us get them back in Facebook land. I spoke with Steve and Phil and they not only helped get my grandparents back online but they handled everything from calling and setting up an appointment to actually visiting my grandparent's home, getting the internet working, setting up their tablet, and getting Facebook working. Never once did I feel like our situation was being taken advantage of. Cornerstone was kind, professional, and thoughtful. I will definitely use them again when my grandparents need future help. read more

Oh my god!!! If I can rate this business 10 million stars, I would. This is a very lengthy review, but please read it. So for the backstory, I have a computer all the way from 2009, so ten years ago. It was the first modern computer. The earliest computer I had was the Windows 95. Then I used a computer that someone didnt care about for a bit and got my 2009 computer. It was a cheaper computer, so the durability wont be high, but it lasted for 10 years. About 3 or 4 years ago it started acting up, but still works. Then recent it decided to die, which was the worst day of my life. One thing that was super valuable was my photos. The computer had photos from 2011-2017. And I had photos from all different shapes and sizes. But I had some very important photos, memorable photos. Like my trip to my very first country in 2017, or my trip to San Fransico in 2013, photos of my sweet cat that passed away in 2016, photos of my friend's wedding in 2015. Also I was not a smart person and backed up my photos. So ( this is the most cringeworthy part.) I decided to Google and do what the computer company told to do. The computer company says that you can recover the computer with backup included. If you did that. Immediately pull the plug becuase there is no "backup", the computer company says that you are backing up your photos, but in reality the computer is erasing everything. But I didnt know it, till the lovely staff told me later, valuable lesson learned. So the computer did it's thing and it got stuck on "Setup is Starting Services". That is the part is erasing all the data. I let it run for an entire day and like 3 hours on the next day. I started getting concerned. So I found this place, and I called this. The person on the phone was lovely, and said come on in. So I dropped off my computer, this lovely guy Derek heard the story and went by all of the cringeworthy parts. So they started off with the diagnosis and worked their way up. For all of our steps I picked the 3-4 days pickup time. The prices are very fair to me. $25 to look at my computer, and return it in 3-4 days, sounds a nice deal. So after diagnosis, their was some bad news. Derek and another guy said that you may not get all of your photos back or you may get corrupted photos. But promised that they will do the best they can, I got prepared for the worst. Then I got a phone call, saying that they were able to get 100GB of data out of my very dead and partially wiped computer and my data hasn't been touched by the wiping, becuase I didnt let it run for too long so yippee!!! Also they gave me a hard drive to store everything they were able to retrieve. The hard drive was good priced. At Staples it cost $55, but at Cornerstone Computers it cost $60. Not bad. And when I got home, I popped the bad boy hard drive in. OH MY F**K**G GOD. The staff got EVERY SINGLE PHOTO BACK!!!! I also had some videos that I have and the videos STILL WORKED!!!! OH MY GOD!! So if you are in a situation like me, or looking for a place for computer repair. GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!! The people there are living miracles. I cannot thank them enough. Please go there for computer repairs. You will most likely have your problem fixed. read more

Love these guys! They are polite and professional and know what they are doing. I'm not very techno-savvy, but wanted a Roku and DVD/VCR player attached to my tv. Wife's computer wouldn't turn on the morning of Christmas! UGH!! Not good. Couldn't figure what the heck was wrong with it. Thought maybe it was the power source or perhaps it had finally just died. I looked up computer stores near where I lived and there were several. Started to read various reviews and saw Cornerstone Computers had good reviews versus some of the other companies. I called them Monday morning, 12/28/15 and explained the issue. I was told to bring in both the power source and the laptop. When I arrived, one of the techs checked the power source and said it was fine. He then said he thought he knew what the problem was. He removed the battery, held down the on/off button for 10 seconds and then put the battery back in and pushed the on button and BINGO! It came on. I was told that if you don't "log off" from time to time and only turn it off, computers will sometimes get stuck in the sleep mode. Simple fix! When I asked how much they said NOTHING! WOW! I was so thankful to find a local business who could provide the service of data rescue off of a broken external hard drive. I had dropped my hard drive and it simply stopped working all together and I had tons of very important files on it that I needed to retrieve. Not only were they able to get every bit of information off of the busted drive, but they were really friendly and didn't make me feel stupid for not being super tech-savvy. And they didn't force me to buy a replacement drive from them so that I could use the drive of my own preference. I was so pleased that it only cost me $75 for the services I needed, something that I was expecting to possibly pay several hundred dollars for. The only minor complaint was that they work entirely with PC and no Macs (at least at the time of the service) so I had to do a bit of compatibility hoops to jump through once I got the new drive back. But that being said, it will not prevent me from going to them again if I ever need help in this area again or to deduct any stars from the rating. read more
