The lunch sandwiches are good priced reasonably for typical DC area workers. However, I just tried the breakfast sandwich today (they only have ONE breakfast sandwich) and I must say I have had better. It's different (pesto makes the eggs green, nice bread, tasty cheddar cheese) but I don't like the way they prepare the bacon, I think its microwaved so it's rubbery and looks like uncooked pork laying around on your sandwich...I pass on the breakfast sandwich, or any of their sandwiches with bacon for that matter. read more

Great little place in Navy Yard. There really isn't much to choose from for lunch, so this is a great little place. It's very organized and clean. There is a variety of food to choose from (crackers, candy, sandwiches, cold cuts, wine, drinks, etc). Price was normal for the area, nothing too high. I got the sandwich with the Tuna on it and it was delicious. The bread was fresh, and they didn't skimp on any of the ingredients. There were a couple of people in there ordering food, and it is a tiny space, but we all took turns ordering and waiting for our food. I'd definitely come back when I'm in the area for a delicious sandwich and great service. read more

Great sandwiches!!! Get the Stadium you won't regret it. I've tried about half of their sandwiches and they are all very fresh and very delicious. Expect line around lunch time. On Thursdays they sell Bulgogi which seemed odd because it's kind of random but it's really good and rivals some Korean restaurants I have been to. Stopped into Cornercopia and ordered "The Stadium". Quality sandwich on very fresh bread. My only gripe was turkey to bread ratio was off. Most of the turkey was stacked in the middle of the sandwich, so once I finished the center of the sandwich, all I was eating was lettuce, bacon and cheese. That's always been one of my pet peeves with deli sandwiches. Still, the sandwich was pretty damn good, and I will be back....soon! co-worker and i split a georgetown on wheat. turkey, lettuce, pesto mayo and cranberries for $7.49. would have wanted maybe an extra slice or 2 more of turkey and maybe change the dried cran to maybe a cran sauce? anyways, nothing to write home about. it was a-ok. had some little snacks there that i would find at trader joe's or a korean store, but this corner store is tiny! 5-6 people and you're cramped. read more

This is my FAVORITE lunch spot! Great for sandwiches. It's a small place with a cute market of food stuffs from all over, extensive chips selection, a cooler full of goodies like pre-made basic salads and hummus cups, cheese, meats, specialty drinks, etc. The market also has a great beer selection and a few wines. The staff is lovely, welcoming, and passionate. I have heard the meat-based sandwiches are great, but I go for the GREENLINE sandwich (it's vegetarian). With gouda cheese, avocado, l/t/o, aoili, craisins, and a vinaigrette, it's perfectly balanced and satisfying. They have excellent sub rolls. There's a good selection, good service, and great food. It can get busy during the lunch hour, so if you don't want to wait, call ahead and place your order. Also, they aren't open late, and primarily do a lunch business. read more

Good sandwiches and selection of produce. It's a mini whole foods, with the same kind of pricing. Its good to have this store in the area because closest food store is pretty far. One of the better sandwiches I have had in DC. It's certainly not otherworldy like you can find on every corner of South Philly or many places in NY, however for DC it was very good. The customer service has always been excellent, and the food is excellent. The majority of the snacks and items are organic and/or gluten free, which is awesome because nobody with diet expectations are limited here. You could potentially grocery shop here, but only a day or twos worth. Definitely recommend as a stop for a meal, lunch most likely. Awesome sandwiches. I have eaten there several times since I work at the Navy Yard. But, they made me a hero last week when on a whim I stopped buy on the way home and got carry-out for my wife and daughter. They love it!!!! The Navy Yard, Monument, Tuna and Chicken salads are fabulous. The proprietors are nice, the store reminds me of the little deli's in Philly my Grandmother used to take me to. Ben W has it right -- great little neighborhood joint, and the "Green Line" is one serious sandwich. Price is actually pretty good, when you realize you don't need any chips or dessert or anything -- it's huge! Couple of bike racks out front (which is how I arrived, after a ball game), very convenient. Once Canal Park is finished, they'll be swamped, so discover it now! Just tried this for the first time. I got the stadium sandwich. High quality turkey and bacon. Some avocado and choice of bread. I got wheat it was excellent. Cost about 8 bucks. If you go to the Subway nearby you are crazy. No place to eat so pick it up and go. read more

I LOVE Corner. The Stadium is my jam unless I'm going veg then it's the Green Line. I'm a chip fanatic and they have a worthy selection. I went into this store because it is close to where I work. One of my co-workers recommended it. I went into the store and bought a Stadium sandwich with a pickle spear. It was large and satisfied my hunger. There is another store across the street called Lot 38 Express Bar. They also serve sandwiches, but not as tasty as these ones. The stadium sandwich taste good with wheat bread. I come here occasionally for sandwiches. The price is okay for the sandwich. I give this place a 4/5 rating. read more

I love the sandwiches. I do wish they had a more varied menu as I'm sure that whatever they make will be delicious. I do wish they also opened at 7 versus 8 so I could get my breakfast sandwich when I first get to work. Other than that, the owners and workers are nice and you get your order fairly quickly. Inside is small, so it can get tight fast, but that means they are doing something right. I've found my new favorite sandwich shop in DC. Great bread, fresh ingredients, tasty combinations, lines at lunchtime (stick with it, this is a good sign!). Went here before Nationals Home opener in 2016 and was overjoyed. My boyfriend saw a shirt reference to this place online so we decided to try it. The sandwiches were excellent. This is especially important to us because we don't eat meat, so we can't count on getting a decent meal at Nats Park (G by Mike Isabella is almost always out of their cauliflower sandwiches, and good luck on the rest of the park's vegetarian options). The selection of chips and deserts was also great. But the real standout was the staff. I walked in, new to the place, and someone asked me if I wanted to order within about 5 seconds. And they were so nice. And made my order exactly as I asked. We're going to make it our regular pre-game stop for food. It's cheaper and way, way better than the stuff in the park. read more

This used to be one of the best sandwich spot around the Navy Yard....until today. I asked for my usual, the stadium but she put a order in for the capitol. I told her what I wanted and she proceeds to tell me she is very good at her job and I ordered the capitol....well guess what I'm not paying for that! She tells them to make me the stadium and they leave off the bacon and the avocado....that's what makes the sandwich is good! I will not spend my money somewhere that has employees that don't understand that the customer pays your salary and they should not be mistreated. If I thought she just messed up it would be fine ,but it was done on purpose....$9.00 for a ham sandwich! smh! read more

This is a wonderful new neighborhood grocery/deli. They are only a few months old and are working out the kinks, but this place is perfect for what it is. If you don't feel like going all the way to Harris teeter but need limes or avocados which CVS does not have, Cornercopia is open and often has what you need. Their sandwiches are pretty good. They have a delicious mustard, use high quality cheese, and will make you whatever sandwich you want. I ask for my own veggie sandwich with avocado. They are way better than subway or anything else in the area, and if you toast the ciabatta bread, I swear it's the best sandwich bread in DC. It really is.. crispy crust with fluffy, light and airy bread on the inside. It's so good I actually will go and buy like six pieces of bread for the weekend. Anyways, I think it's good to support neighborhood small businesses, and the owner Albert is really nice, friendly, and really wants to provide what his customers want. If they're missing something, just tell him and he'll probably try to get it. Definitely give this place a try. read more

This place is AMAZING! It's close to where I work and I love walking over to it and indulging in some of the best sandwich combinations I have ever tried! I only have one question, How come the Food Network hasn't discovered it yet?! What I mostly love in addition to the yummy sandwiches, my favorite being the stadium, is that they make authentic korean Bulgogi and Kimchee on Thursdays and it tastes AMAZING!! They have a bunch of other little traditional Korean snacks like mochi ice cream and candies. There's plenty of drinks to choose from and random organic grocery items like apples, cake mixes etc. They even serve Dairy farm milk in glass bottles!!! You are truly missing out if you don't pay them a visit. They are super crowded during the week at lunch time so if you want, you can place your oder 10 minutes beforehand and they will have it ready - that is if you already know what you want! read more
