We arrived early for a birthday dinner and we chatted with her for a while. Nice and answered all questions. We had a party of eight and a few apps and pizzas were ordered. All food came out in a reasonable time and was piping hot. We got a few pizzas so I'll generally comment that the crust was very good and toppings were flavorful and plentiful. The apps were tasty and good sized. The highlight was the charcuterie plate, filled with cheese, fruit and meat. Several folks ordered cocktails and enjoyed them. I drank a Great Lakes beer (Oktoberfest), but no draft beer. Plenty of wine available. Nice spot worthy of a visit if in the area.

I left the house today with absolutely no destination so I wandered around for a bit and ended up…read morenear Summit Mall, which was just stupid with nowhere to dine so I looked on line at restaurants and picked this one out and drove to it. The parking lot was full at 1:00; walked into this restaurant seated immediately with windows off to the side. I must make a note. It is Kentucky Derby Saturday. All female servers have dressed appropriately with fascinator's in their hair and hairdos to match the elegance of that event. Unfortunately, I've been seated down, in a section where I can't see the rest of whatever's going on, so I'll have to wait to do this before I leave My server Katie D must REALLY love this place because I asked her for her favorite or what some suggestions might be --she gave me at least 14 things to pick from. I settled for the I think 12 ounce double pork chop which came with roasted brussels sprouts done to perfection and riced cauliflower---a very diabetic, healthy meal. when it arrived it was cold and you just don't eat brussels sprouts cold. And very cheerfully she took it back and was back in no time with a new plate of steaming hot food. I was seated on the windows side where I could see the parking lot and in the next hour and a half dozens and dozens of people came to dine at the establishment. There were people all dressed up for Derby day. There were men in suits and ties it was going to be an event I understand. I haven't had this great of a meal and this great of a time with a super great server and service and delectable food in three years and I've been a Yelp writer for longer than that. That should tell you something about this restaurant if it isn't a three or four or five star restaurant, a darn well should be. They don't need a holiday to dine in here and have great service great time and great food... Even if you're dining alone. Do not miss going to this one. I know I'm going back and I live the southeast side of Cleveland Ohio.

Spotty service and food quality makes The Town a dicey choice when I'm in the area…read more It is large and has a lot of seating with views of televisions from just about anywhere you sit to keep an eye on the game. The beer list is large and offers a good selection as well. The menu has a lot of good options for a brewery/sports bar but is not overly large either. However the food has been hit or miss. My burgers have always been good, but other food has not been. From cold nachos with unmelted cheese and parogies that are more like empinadas the level of food quality of all over the board. The service is a problem every time though. In 4 trips here each time I've been seated and promptly forgotten regardless of if I have been solo or with a group. If you want to pay and leave you probably are going to have to track your server down because the do not come back and check on you. Because I stay close when I travel for work I wanted the poor experience to be isolated to a visit or two, but it seems pretty consistent at this point so I will be looking for another dinner option when in town.

I ok with that but not everyone wants steak. They had no choices for chicken or fish. The service was good at best , because the people who came in afterwards were served their food and on the way out and we had not been served food yet. I did see on the menu that they had banana fosters. That a joke it was bread pudding with ice cream on top and 3 slices of banana . I told the server this is anything but bananas foster and I felt insulted. She immediately took it off the bill. To which then I explained to her what bananas foster really was and she said it sounded good. She's never heard of it. Also I ordered mashed potatoes and I was told it was not up to standard and I have to make a second choice.. I will try to celebrate with my wife my 73 birthday with a nice dinner . The bill was over 200. And my did not get a steak, just a salad and soup. Not happy.

Firehouse Tavern - Honest Review…read more We stopped in because one of the ladies in our group was craving sweet potato fries. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told they're no longer on the menu--even though they still appear on the website. Our waitress explained there's a new manager and they currently don't have access to update the online menu. The atmosphere felt cold and very empty when we arrived, so we asked for something warm to drink. The only options were Coke products, so five of us settled for simply a cup of hot water. There were nine of us total, and the food came out sporadically. We tried to wait until everyone had their meal, but the timing made it a little awkward. On a positive note, I ordered the House on Fire Jalapeño Popper Burger. It came with crispy bacon, cream cheese, and jalapeños. The menu said the jalapeños were deep-fried, though I only received soft ones. However -- the burger was cooked perfectly. I asked for medium, and it came out pink inside, which told me the patties are made fresh. My side was the homemade potato chips, but they were just dry fried potatoes without much flavor or crisp. Once everyone finally had their food, the waitress disappeared. I ended up going to the bar myself to ask for water, and was handed a plastic cup with no ice. We didn't see the waitress again until she came around with the checks. The good news is: They do take credit cards The restaurant is wheelchair accessible -- but only if the correct parking spot is open. Once the lot fills (about 10 cars), the incline makes it nearly impossible for a handicap van to park safely. My burger, fries, and cup of water came to about $15. Overall, I'm not sure I'd return. My friends seemed to enjoy their meals, but between the missing menu items, slow service, and lack of warmth in the atmosphere, it just wasn't the experience we hoped for.

I ordered a pasta dish with pomadoro sauce and a ceaser salad. My wife ordered pasta with seafood. It was easily 20 minutes from salad to entre. Stopped by yesterday with 2 friends for a 4:30 reservation - there were few other diners there yet…read more When the server seated us, she said that our table was booked with another reservation at 6:30 - insinuating we had a time limit, it seemed. Now, a server may think along those lines all the time in their job, but to say it out loud to diners was tactless and less than welcoming. By 5:30 we did not have food yet, and joked with each other that we weren't going to make it in time. Ultimately, at the end of the meal the owner came around and I told him what the server had said. He went into a discourse about how the online booking service (which we did not use) uses 2-hour reservation slots etc etc, either missing or avoiding the point entirely. I mentioned it took an inordinately long time for our orders to come to the table. He said good food takes time. A cop-out, but okay. Consider my plate of salmon piccata. The salmon was not prepared as requested. Capers appeared to be absent (the whole point of piccata) but found a mere 4 under the fish. The asparagus was missing altogether, but the server did bring some quickly. The pasta wasn't overcooked, so that was right. But there was the bread, "focaccia", $2 ala carte. It was so dense and tasteless, except for the garlic on top. There were no air bubbles in sight. Granted I'm not Italian but this was not focaccia. So we'll go back to our usual place on White Pond.
