Married, childless, 30-something here who's only ever taken out from this location because I've been traumatized by the Leucadia location, seeing as it's often ridden with heathens for children and entitled parents with strollers ready to bash achilles tendons. Also, I just really like eating pizza in the comfort of my own home. My regular orders: T-Rex pizza and Caesar salad. I love the garlicky Caesar dressing and that they put capers on the salad. As someone who works retail, I'm all for a cash-free register. I also appreciate the option to tip (or not). (For the people complaining about the tip--maybe just don't leave one?) My hubs usually picks up the pizza, but said this location has the nicest workers. Also, this is the fastest working location! We've been to Leucadia, Oside and this one, and our order is always completed in an efficient manner. Consistency keeps us returning. Delicious pizza! Hands down the best pie in North County. They make thin crust New York style pizza that is full of flavor. We ordered the T-Rex and a pepperoni and pineapple pizza that were amazing. The sauce is robust but not too spicy and you can taste the quality ingredients. Also added a Caesar salad that was the perfect accompaniment. Ordered through DoorDash. Fennel and arugula salad. It states in the description and the picture which is also on the restaurant's website that it has spinach arugula Gorgonzola candied walnuts and seasonal fruit (in the picture shows strawberries) and states has a balsamic glaze. What I received was some sliced fennel, arugula, a few cherry tomatoes and a sprinkle of Gorgonzola. Called the restaurant and spoke with Andre manager. He said that they only do fennel and arugula. They haven't updated DoorDash or their site. He was very rude and obnoxious. Wasn't willing to correct the problem. Contacted DoorDash made a complaint. For 16.00 this was not acceptable at all. This place was recommended to my wife and I by a few people, and I've been wanting to try it for months, which is why I'm so disappointed that I hated it. I'm confident that there is a specific demographic they are targeting and I am just not part of it. It is the bougie version of a popular local pizza parlor chain that has twice the selection and better quality for half the price. Disclaimer: I'm going to come back one day during lunch to see if I can walk away with any sense of value from whatever the "chef's special" slice might be that day. When you enter, there is room for about three people between the door and the register where you place your order. There is a decent selection of specialty pizzas on the menu, a couple salads, and very oddly for a restaurant that carries no other seafood, an oyster menu? So I would assume when they were identifying their target audience, they decided it was anyone who likes to shoot oysters and drink wine when they eat pizza. If you are one of those oddballs who prefers beer and soda with your pizza, this spot is not for you. They have a small handful of beers for beer snobs and only sell a few sodas in glass bottles, so drink slowly, because no refills. The thing that really irked me was that if you buy a specialty pizza you can split it 50/50 but it costs $4.00 extra regardless of the combination. So if you want half of a $30 pizza and half of a $20 pizza for your kid, they will charge you the full $30 PLUS $4, so they save half a pizza in toppings and charge you extra for it. If you have kids, leave them at home or order the pizza to go, this ain't the place. Finally, and this is what hurts the most, I thought the pizza was AWFUL. Instagram ads have had me looking forward to trying this hot honey pizza for months, named the "Killer BEE" on the menu, because honey(?), and among a few other playful pizza names on the menu that are completely inconsistent with the rest of the menu and the entire ambiance of the restaurant. The pizza came out on a standard metal pizza pan like a traditional pizzeria, only without a pizza cutter or anything to transfer the slices to your plate. As a result, you pick up the floppy, limp piece of pizza and all the cheese and toppings proceed to slide off onto the pan. I would have settled for any amount of crispness, but it was thin and doughy at its best. One of the ingredients of the pizza was supposed to be Gorgonzola, so I was excited because I love Gorgonzola, but I think they must just spritz the essence of Gorgonzola onto the pizza because I didn't see or taste any at all. The pizza was absent of any of the flavors of the listed ingredients with the exception of the honey which I did taste. It just tasted like a mild tomato sauce and low sodium mozzarella. One pizza here is enough for two people, or for my grandmother and two of her friends as they sip their boxed white wine on the rocks. I am also admittedly not a fan of the new generation of restaurants with food runners, but no servers. I'm actually surprised that this restaurant just doesn't make you order from a QR code on the table instead of holding up the line while you stare at the menu and order from someone who can't even hand you your soda bottles when you are done ordering because they come out of the kitchen window delivered to your table like the food. I'm sure this restaurant will probably do better than it's predecessor because there always seems to be a niche for new pizza spots, and my friends who recommended it to me are definitely the type to hype a restaurant based on decor alone. Pizza is always great :). My son goes weekly and loves it. I came in on Halloween with my kids and everything was amazing. As we were leaving, my 5 year old daughter grabbed a candy from the bowl they had out. She is autistic and some things can set her off and she can start getting really upset. She was getting upset over not finding something she wanted, and while a lot of people look on like she's being bratty not realizing the situation, that's not what happened here. For how expensive this pizza was, it was probably one of the worst pizzas we've ever had. For $25-$30 a pizza we unfortunately felt the entire experience was a disappointment. First, it was over an hour wait for the two pizzas to arrive. After about 30-40 minutes we started gently inquiring about the order status to which the answer was "oh we're a little backed up tonight but we're working on it". It wasn't until after an hour passed that they finally told us one of their ovens was down and that was the cause of the delay. Of course these things happen, we all understand that ovens can break. However, it is completely inexcusable that it took an hour to advise your customer about this. Just a simple sign at the register when you order letting people know wait times will be longer than normal would have been great. And ultimately, the pizza itself was really not good. The pepperoni tasted like a frozen pizza you'd get at Trader Joe's, and the spinach artichoke's dough was very undercooked. To the restaurant's credit, the manager did comp our meal. Third time visiting the location in Bressi Ranch. Prices are high for no table service, yet the staff expects a tip. The staff are not pleasant. I don't know what is going on - maybe it isn't a pleasant work environment. No one smiles. Order a pizza and a salad. Brought my grandson and my small dog and sat outside. My dog hopped up on the bench next to my grandson. I was scolded and told dogs aren't allowed to do that. Of course, I know this and wouldn't normally - but the dog hopped up. There are several really good places to eat here in Bressi with great service and food quality. I'm disappointed and neighbors feel the same way. I really wanted to like this place, they had some very unique pizzas that all had the opportunity to be amazing, I got a margarita, burrita pizza, and a cacio e pepe pizza. I was super excited about the cacio e pepe because that is my favorite Italian dish, The pizzas were about $25-$30 apiece, which is up there in the price range, when I went to pick up the pizzas there was only two people in the whole restaurant which is a bad sign lol when the guy handed me the two boxes with the pizza it felt like he handed me two empty boxes. I had to stop and open them up to see if there was even a pizza inside, there was, but it was an incredibly small, not even come close to filling the box up pizza, the crust was actually very good on the pizza, but everything else was rather planned and flavorless, the pizza I was so excited about. Cacio e pepe just tasted like an olive oil pizza. I did not taste any of the flavors of that specific dish.. if you're thinking about getting pizza from here just stop and order from somewhere else, it's way overpriced and although it's thin crust, it is so small and lightweight that you'll have to eat pretty much a whole pizza to get full , it's too bad I was really looking forward to finding that amazing pizza place, I guess it's time to keep looking. read more
