We were staying at a local hotel coming back late from a long day at Legoland. When we were looking for a pizza to be delivered, Marco's popped up. I read some reviews and thought ,"okay, let's see what the commercials talk about". The delivery was quick and girl very nice and pleasant. However, for $26, I could have bought a Frozen pizza and have a better pizza. I asked for the old world pepperoni. A total of 8 pieces were on the 1/2 pizza. The other 1/2 was cheese. They were not even able to cut the pizza all the way. We literally had to tear the pizza for our own slice. It was so dry and hard that the cheese used was already set, forget the cheese that strings when picked. Like the commercials brag. Too many other choices in town to attempt to try this place again. Little Ceasars has this place beat ten fold by comparison. I give two stars only because of the nice delivery girl. read more

We ordered two large pizzas - one with extra cheese and one with everthing. Apparently 'everything' was only pepperoni, mushrooms and onions (though I know I read that it should have contained a lot more toppings. My friend ordered this for an event held at her place. She got the pepperoni, the deluxe, cheesy bread plus a dessert. She said she got it at a reasonable price. I looked the menu up and noticed they give codes for their specials/deals too. Very good to know. I absolutely loved the deluxe! And the dough was what impressed me the most. It was soft and doughy. It didn't have any yeast type flavors to it that would turn you off like some pizza does . It was cooked rather well. Cuz we all know an undercooked pizza is just not right. Neither is an overcooked one. And being that this was a pick up order it came to us in a perfect temperature range. The sausage was pretty darn good. I was extremely disappointed with this place. I placed an order for a pizza that had spinach, bacon, and jalapeño. That is a normal pizza order for me that I have ordered at countless pizza places. When I received my pizza, I had 2 tiny pieces of spinach, barely any bacon, but don't worry it was COVERED in jalapeños. I called them to let them know because I was honestly really upset. They barely apologized and made it clear I wouldn't get a refund or anything of the sort. I simply explained I just want them to know for next time because when you order (and pay extra) for 3 toppings you should have an equal amount of each. And honestly if it was the spinach that was an insane amount that would've been better, the jalapeño made it way spicier than anticipated. We grew up in Toledo Ohio where Marcos was started. Today we found this location and were excited to have the bread & pizza. Unfortunately the food was not even close to what it is at their Midwest locations. The cheese bread was burnt & had very little cheese. When I asked the manager that it wasn't like photo or even close to what we normally get her response was "ehhh too bad, we are o it suppose to use 1 oz of cheese". Two employees were working and I got it right away. I asked where the tip jar was and the employee pulled out a small pizza box for me to put my tip in. I thought it was odd and would've just handed her the cash. An older lady who seemed to be waiting for her order chucked and said that worked with a smile on her face! It did work, but again a bit strange. There is barely any room to wait for your order and it gave me Little Caesar vibes. Pizza was pretty meh. I'd put it in line with little Caesar's. Not terrible but really nothing to come back for except maybe the pizza bowl. I like having a low carb option. We ordered that, cheesy bread, a large pepperoni magnifico and a small 1 topping pizza for around $40 so prices are reasonable since they allow you to use more than one deal per order. I would not really recommend checking this place out nor would I come back on my own accord but if my family wants it I'll have a different pizza bowl. We went to this relatively new location for a pizza. We had high hopes. Relatively new installation and somewhat clean. Friendly staff. Pizza was a thicker crust. Toppings were fresh and flavorful. Sauce was a canned tomato pizza sauce. Overall, better than similar fast pizza places cost was high given the quality. If you go off- menu it will push cost $$$. Ambiance is take out only. No store music. Seems like a place for the take out drivers only. Parking is plentiful but the neighborhood is a a bit sketchy. Rec- call ahead of time. First time coming into Marcos pizza and when I walked in the place smelled like good, classic takeout pizza. The staff were nice and made sure we had utensils. When we got back to our hotel and open the box the smell was amazing. My husband ate nearly half the box before I could get a slice. We got the pepperoni magnifico and deluxe, pizzoli, and cinnasquares. Everything was great and exactly what I would want in a classic takeout pizza. Beware......Found out Skin color matters here...... I went to try this place for the first time today to grab a birthday pizza for my Husband but walked out very disappointed and no Pizza. From the moment I walked in Three Older ladies were helping a customer picking up an order for a school sports team. The customer was surprised that the total being charged was not what was quoted to them. The older worker told her she was wrong, even though they had proof. The older lady went on to tell her she should had charge her more no one not even schools get special treatment. The customer just said she would discuss it with the coach and left. Please know there was only two paying customer in this place, the first customer and me. By the time the older lady finished with the first customer a male and other female also walked in. I stood up so that may tell her my order and she refused to even recognize or even give me eye contact and went straight to serving the male that came in after me. I payed no mind but then she made a point to tell the lady behind him ," I will be with you in a little." I turned and noticed one thing out of all the customer that were in this restaurant I was the only one that was not Caucasian. I felt sick to my stomach and just walked out. I never thought I would ever experience this especially in Oceanside ca. We ended up going to KILLER PIZZA FROM MARS. They were wonderful.
