Where do I start? Matt was great in telling us all the great dishes and recommendations. What a nice guy who knows food and pairings very well. He recommended the salmon and it was fantastic. Baby arugula salad was sensational with house balsamic reduction that was so flavorful- amazing My husband had the soup of the day- pepper soup - awesome flavor combo and Tri tip. The vibe at this place is really nice. Prices were up there. Quality was excellent. This was our splurge meal for the week and a great choice. Highly recommend! read more

After a beautiful afternoon strolling through the Vanderbilt country family home and property it was nice to end up here for dinner. Thank you Yelpers! I rely on you during my travels to discover wonderful finds. A party of two we shared three courses as we sat at a table near the kitchen. Their portions are so generous! We watched the cranky chef bark orders to the staff which was the only unpleasing experience of the evening. But maybe that's how he kept the kitchen buzzing as they whipped out dish after dish with such ease. It was impressive - only 3 in the kitchen. Our meal was lovely, light and we were happy with every choice. From cocktails through entree we enjoyed our meal. Our waitress was so helpful in our selections and a super host! I was hopeful for the chocolate soufflé to wrap up our meal as the fourth course, but had I no room for any more food. Not even chocolate - wow! I recommend this adorable gem! Pop in if you're in town. It was clear that many of the locals are regulars. read more

I had my small dog with me so I ordered something togo, but they were more than welcoming. I ordered the shrimp and grits which was amazing. I can't wait to go back when I visit the Asheville area again atmosphere was welcoming and cute. It was inside a small house and they had an area outside with heating that I could wait in with my dog while my order was cooking! Check this place out for sure if you're ever in the Asheville area! read more

Amazing breakfast location in the cutest little town. I love that they have an "omelette of the day" and "Benedict of the day" and they were both really interesting flavors but super delicious. We would definitely come back read more

Man oh man! This place is worth the hype! Learn from my mistake and call ahead or book on resy for a reservation. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a bar seat since the rest of the restaurant seating was for people who called ahead. It was Sunday brunch and the restaurant had a constant flow of people. I took this as a good sign and it was! This was some of the best French toast I have had in a long time. This was because their French toast is so unique. They call it boozy French toast, because it has Grand Marnier liqueur in the batter! Not to mention, they use my favorite bread for French toast: Challah Bread! They top it with home made whipped cream, fresh fruit, and pecans! It's served with a side of bacon and bourbon sorghum syrup. If you love French toast as much as me, you need to order this! It's pairs nicely with the coffee they have too! It also is conveniently located to the Biltmore Estate, so if you have plans to visit there, then it's a win win. read more

Food is ordinary, not delicious. Clean tables.staff friendly. Price is reasonable. Not a favorite place to return

Food and drink were amazing! We are so lucky we came right before hurricane helene. We are sad it's closed now.

Friday brunch was superb! As always, our reserved table was ready for seating when we arrived. Our server was helpful and quick to supply drinks and advice. The food was delicious, pleasing to the eye as well as the palate. Another delicious meal and a reason to return! Long live the Corner Kitchen! read more

5 stars for food. 5 stars for service. 5 stars for ambiance. I had the maple butternut squash soup to start. My husband chose the shrimp Caesar salad. We had the venison carpaccio and the cauliflower three ways for appetizers. For dinner I chose the duck and my husband had the filet mignon. For dessert we had the blueberry bread pudding. I have no words. The food, service, everything was perfect. We chatted with the other couple sitting nearby. We all just had a wonderful evening with great food. We were stuffed, so we took the dessert back to our hotel and ate it 2 nights later. The ice cream for the bread pudding is made in house. We'll definitely return when we visit again. read more

We had Sunday Brunch and it was absolutely delicious. I ordered a Chef's Whim Benny and ended up with a BBQ pork and pimento cheese Benny with home fries. It was perfect. My husband is on a mission to eat chicken and waffles every time he has brunch. He ranked this one very high on his list. Our server was attentive and jolly. On the way out the door I glimpsed a giant cinnamon roll and vowed to have it for the ride home. It did not disappoint. read more

Had a 1:30 reservation for Corner Kitchen on a Saturday. Corner kitchen is tucked away in Biltmore village, surrounded by fun boutiques and shops. The restaurant is in an old house which creates an interesting dinning experience. Our food came very fast. I had the Cajun seared catfish sammie with the potato feta salad. The sandwich was good, nothing that knocked my socks off, but filled me up. The catfish was mild and moist, but overall, the sandwich lacked flavor for me. The potato feta side salad was delicious and if I went back, I would get this again. If you are in Biltmore Village and looking for southern, fried food for a quick meal, this is the place. read more

My wife and I had an amazing meal tonight. A Negroni and Champagne to start. Corn and crab chowder. She had the spaghetti squash bolognese. I had the filet mignon. Desert was maple ice cream with maple caramel and a crunchy topping. The entire meal was perfect. Service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

A short walk from the Grand Bohemian hotel, Corner Kitchen is a must dine-in spot when in Asheville. We were able to get seated on a short notice, but would recommend making a reservation since the place is quite popular. The food was pretty amazing, but found the menu a little limited. We ordered the duck salad, the pecan crusted trout, a slice of cheesecake and a couple Old Fashion cocktails. Little did we know, the Obamas dined here back in 2010. The manager took us upstairs to the exact spot where they sat, and told us the story of how the staff had no idea they were coming until they showed up for dinner! read more

I had high hopes for Corner Kitchen but it was just an average restaurant for breakfast. The restaurant is cute and cozy. There is a cart to leave your umbrellas outside and an area to hang your coats right when you walk in. Rose our server was very nice and attentive. I ordered the Biltmore Basic- & it was just that ... basic. I knocked off a star b/c the food was luke warm leaning more towards cold. The scrambled eggs were cooked to my likings, the house potatoes were flavorful and the biscuit with ham was also decent. Next time I'll be a bit more adventurous and try the cinnamon roll or chicken and waffles which looked good. read more

Corner Kitchen has a lovely dining ambiance, good service, and hit-or-miss food. Lunchtime on a Sunday was busy, but not so busy we had to wait and were immediately seated. Menus are provided solely on your smartphone via QR code on each table to avoid unnecessary handling of menus, which is a smart choice during these uncertain (and germophobic) times. I ordered the Brasstown Beef Burger, cooked medium, with french fries. It's difficult to find a place that gets it right when you ask for the burger cooked medium; in most cases, it's usually cooked to medium-well or even well-done. Corner Kitchen hit it on the head and the patty had a lovely pink interior, maybe even on the side of medium-rare but not so much that it bothered me. Overall, the plate I was served had some real highs and lows. First, whoever they've got in charge of seasoning the meat deserves a raise. This was one of the best-seasoned burgers I've ever had. The grind on the meat was a little fine for my liking, so the texture was a little tight, but it was delicious nonetheless and the perfectly-cooked bacon and melted cheese on top was divine. Unfortunately, overall the burger was let down by the too-small bun as well as a puzzling decision to cut the burger in half before being served, but providing the accompanying lettuce/onion whole on the side. I had to cut the slice of onion and leaf of lettuce in half and place them on the individual halves of the burger, which was a pain in the butt and made it slightly difficult to eat without making an enormous mess. Second, the fries served with the burger were over-fried, needed more salt, and I must have gotten the leftovers of the cut potatoes because half of what I got were tiny little nubbins of verging-on-burnt french fry detritus. I only ate half of them and even my wife, a notorious plate-stealing nibbler, wasn't terribly interested in them. Prices are on the high end, at $15 for a burger on the smaller end of the scale and a handful of fries, and the burger was one of the cheapest items offered. I can't see myself coming back any time soon just for the sake of a delicious beef patty based on the other, not-so-great parts of the dining experience. read more

Wonderful find. Very good atmosphere and my first dish ever there was super. Crow's Famous Chicken n' Waffles. The waffles were small rounds, light and delicious. Excellent dinner... delicious food. Try the trout and the chowder. Literally every dish was tasty.

I'm so glad we made a reservation here when we stayed a couple of nights in Asheville! This cute house turned restaurant was super cozy on a rainy, chilly night. I had the mussels as my entree (located under appetizers) and they were awesome. Big portion and the corn and chorizo in the broth really elevated the dish. My husband raved about the pecan crusted trout. The bread pudding dessert was decadent. Service was top notch. A must stop if you're in Biltmore village! read more

Tip: If you want a table definitely make reservations. We just happen to arrive at a good time but still had 30 min wait and had to sit at the bar. The wait staff was very nice and I do have to say sitting at the bar my coffee was always full. The grits!! Omg!! They are a must. So so good. Everything about my meal was so good. It made me think of the same breakfast I get on grounds at the Biltmore. Everything is local and so fresh. The burger was massive and juicy my husband loved it. We will definitely be back! read more

Took my parents here and the food was just as good as the last time we came. This time my husband and I shared the trout and it's very nice for them to split it in half on separate plates and gave extra sides with no additional charge. The trout came with mashed sweet potatoes and green beans that were cooked to perfection. My parents had the biscuit and gravy, came with scrambled eggs and that meal was as delicious. This time we tried the dulce de leche cheesecake which was really good but my favorite still was the bread pudding. I could taste the spice in the cheesecake. I really enjoyed it but my grandpa did not because he likes play NY style cheesecake. Always love this place, from the food to the service everything always excellent. read more

There's no amount of praise I can give this wonderful staff for the southern hospitality. The staff was so nice and so attentive. My glass was never empty. They continued to check and make sure my husband and I never needed anything. It started with the warm greeting and ended with a smile. Chef JunoTHE FOOD WAS AMAZING!!!!! She made a banana split that was too die for. She personally came to our table and introduced herself. The waitress explained each dish. They made me feel like royalty and I love how the menu always changes. I'll never get bored eating here. Remember to ask for Chef Juno (she works evenings). But the breakfast was good too. We got in and seated right away. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We ordered some drinks and our food. Drinks and apps came out immediately but we waited over an hour for our food. Once we realized everyone who came in after us was already paying their bill, we asked about our food and magically it came out about 10 minutes later. They did try to make it "right" with adjusting our bill but still annoyed with the process. Food was "okay" but definitely have had better. This was a one and done type place for us. Our first visit to this restaurant. We always try to frequent independent restaurants when we travel. Walking into this quaint little house we were immediately made to feel welcome. John, who was apparently a bartender too, came over to welcome us. Our meals were simply incredible! My steak was delicious as were the potatoes and broccoli. My wife ordered shrimp and grits. Now we order s&g a lot and have never had any this good. Amazing meal. John was a great representative for this little restaurant. I asked to meet Sara, the manager. Again, just a special person. I cannot give a better review! read more

Love at first sight!! The fall decor was beautiful! The waitress and staff were amazing. I had the Chicken Roulade with orzotto and it was mouthwatering. We came for Sunday Linner. This is the meal you have on a Sunday after Brunch. Service was good. No issues there. This little place is in a converted house that I believe at one point many moons ago housed employees of the Biltmore. I ordered the crab and corn chowder. It was really good, very rich. Then I got the burger. Hrm. Side of feta potato salad. I liked the potato salad. The burger was a burger... a cafeteria food service quality burger. The patty was a factory patty. Perfectly round wirh uniform thickness like you've had at schools and hospitals and ballparks. Im pretty sure it was frozen at some point. The bun was nothing special. This was not a table service restaurant quality burger. The taste was as expected with that kind of burger as well. The meat was very finely ground, there were probably fillers and binders. Then I started wondering... could the soup have been from a can? Could the potato salad had been from a deli? I dont know... but I feel like if I owned a restaurant I wouldn't add a factory entree if I'm making other things from scratch. My friend had the charcuterie board which I thought was protein sparse for the price point. I neither recommend nor return. Plenty of other options in the area that hopefully make food from scratch. I mean there is a McDonald's and a Hardee's nearby if I want that kind of burger and honestly it probably would have been better. read more

I was absolutely blown away by the experience. I'm a fan of Michelin restaurant and have been in multiple Michelin restaurant in the United States and Europe . The food was nothing short of phenomenal, with each dish bursting with flavor and prepared to perfection. My fiancé and I were visiting Asheville for Labor Day weekend and decided to try Corner Kitchen after hearing great things about it. The food was AMAZING and we sat at Obama's table, which I though was pretty cool. We started with the classic crispy calamari which came with island slaw (the little pineapple pieces in it was a nice unexpected touch) and mango aioli. For the entrees, I had the NC Shrimp in tomato Fondue. It is shrimp simmered in Roma tomatoes with a side of creamy fettuccine and garlic Broccolini. My fiancé had the Saltimbocca of Chicken, which is a prosciutto wrapped boneless chicken thigh on top of a sage and basil cream Bucatini pasta. Last but not least, we had the bread pudding for dessert. We licked clean every single plate! read more

I'm so grateful corner kitchen was able to accommodate our big party today. Mike made sure we had everything we needed!!!! We were celebrating brunch after my sisters wedding the prior evening. This is a special time for our family to be together. We were seated promptly and all placed our drink orders. Everything came out really quick. Genuinely genuinely one of the best meals I've ever had. Server was spectacular, don't recall his name but longer, curly hair. He was very kind and had great recommendations. Came for Sunday brunch; sangria of the day was sweet and fruity but not cloying. The watermelon gazpacho was so damn good and nothing like I had expected. Perfectly juicy tomatoes on top; you can tell absolutely everything is in season and mostly-if-not-all local. The server recommended the chicken and waffles, I added a runny egg. Oh my g-d. It was amazing. You need to try it. Even the coffee was great, took it black which I don't normally do. The roofed open patio is lovely too; my only criticism is I would enjoy a bit more light, but it is an overcast day. Come here. You deserve it. read more

My in-laws have us a gift certificate for this restaurant because when they visited Asheville they really liked it. And I know it has such good reviews... but... I'm from Chicago and we are spoiled with the BEST food. And honestly if you're visiting from Chicago or NYC or any big city with amazing food, this place is well... eh... It's just ok. We even went by recommendations and got the Mezcal smoked chicken which the waitress recommended. And it was good. My trout was good too... But just not $38 good. In Chicago for a meal like this one, it's just usually amazing. This is good, but don't expect amazing. Also the hostess had a bad attitude. The service was good though.
