    Flatbread and a crabcake sandwich

We came here for our anniversary lunch and had a great time. We ate in the dining room. The food and service are wonderful. it is a cheerful place and the music was 40s & 50s jazz which we loved. This made our celebration very special. Great starters and appetizers, salads and entree choices. We will be back.

This is Delaware's top fine dining establishment. Whenever I bring friends back home I take them out to dinner here. The baked brie is always a great way to start off a meal. Brie baked into slices of bread. Like a fancy little pizza. You can dip in either a sweet berry sauce or a savory tomato based sauce. I like to alternate between the two. The must have entree is the beef short rib. There is nothing quite as tender as the short rib here. You could cut it with a spoon. Desserts here are all very good. My favorite is the sea salt caramel budino. So many rich and creamy layers of goodness resting on top of a base of Oreo crumble. Great servers. Great food. Great atmosphere. Do yourselves a favor and stop in for a meal.

We had a family dinner here recently for my birthday and had a wonderful time. The service was great despite our group of 5 adults and 2 toddlers, one of whom was a bit on the cranky side. Turned out he was just hungry and once he started grubbing, he was fine. Anyway, 3 of us had the short ribs and 2 had the salmon. The short ribs were very good, but the tamarind sauce was a bit on the tangy side for me. That didn't stop me from eating it though. I also enjoyed a really tasty salad with candied pecans and gorgonzola (it comes with goat cheese but I seriously don't know how anyone eats that nasty stuff so I subbed gorgonzola). We ended the meal with some yummy desserts. I think mine was called a bubino or something like that. It was very good - layers of whipped cream, caramel, custard, cookie crust - and very sweet. Overall it was a great meal and I'm glad my daughter and her bf brought us there. Would certainly enjoy going again!

I've been here a few times for the happy hour and sat at the bar. I enjoyed having cocktails and apps and wanted to come back for dinner. My husband and I came for a date night, and sat in the dining room area (see pic). The music was a little loud, and couldn't hear sometimes. We sat for about 15 min before the server came over, after I said something. He was clearing plates and taking other tables orders as we sat there. He was apologetic but still, come on, it wasn't even that crowded. We ordered drinks, cheese plate, and dinners. It took a while for the drinks to come out but the specialty drink I ordered was a nice twist (chocolate covered pretzel martini). The cheese plate was mediocre, and we love a good cheese plate.... So yeah, could have more flavor or anything to spruce it up. I got the Niçoise salad with tuna, egg, tomato, asparagus and a mustard vinaigrette. Again mediocre to eh. The tuna was over cooked, dry and not that good. My husband got the ravioli and thought it was good but nothing special. Overall I wanted it to be more and came out middle of the road.

Really cute place with a nice outdoor patio! I ordered the crab and red pepper bisque - it came out quickly and had really great flavor with lots of crab meat. I also had the house salad (champagne dressing and candied nuts were great). My husband had the shrimp and lobster roll with fries which was quite satisfying (they were generous with the seafood and it tasted fresh and perfectly dressed)

This is one of my favorite places to dine in the Wilmington area! They have great outdoor dining seating, as well as a very classy and cute internal decor. I've never had to wait for a table, but in my opinion this place should be popping off. For brunch I highly recommend the crispy French toast. The crispy texture really puts it over the top, and it comes with a delicious caramel sauce on the side. The lobster and shrimp roll is also a great choice, they really stuff that potato roll full of large chunks of lobster and shrimp. For dinner, we always like to start off with the baked brie which comes with both a savory and sweet dipping sauce. We tried the cheese plate once and the slices of toasted baguette were rock hard, plus I am not a blue cheese fan, so I would not get that again. For entrees you can't go wrong with the short rib which was tender and melt in your mouth. Their dessert options are divine, I loved the salted caramel budino and key lime pie. I highly recommend this place to anyone searching for good food in the north Wilmington area! Whether for a casual brunch or a fancier night out, I'm confident it'll exceed your expectations.

Love the corner bistro! The french onion soup is really good. They make great cocktails and the services is always outstanding as well.

There was a fireplace and multiple fans running on a hot day in August. I wasn't able to eat here because it was too hot.

As far as outside seating and indoor seating everything is spaced out nicely. The bar area is not spaced out at all and is not following safety procedures!

This is a lovely spot for a special occasion because they give you a giant sparkler for the guest of honor at the end of your meal. It's an intimate restaurant. I loved the unique lights at the tables that felt like taper candles. I'm not sure if it's because of what we ordered, but wait times were really long. It took about an hour for us to get our entrees. Thankfully we were in good company. And our party enjoyed their cocktails. We started with the brussels and cauliflower. This was beyond delicious. You have to order this as a starter. They had a quail special and monkfish special the evening we were there. The birthday girl ordered the quail. It took about an hour to arrive and came undercooked. Thankfully they were kind about cooking it more. I think she enjoyed it once she got to eat. Her husband got the pork chops. I shared the monkfish with a friend and really enjoyed it. We also got the seared tuna for the table and that was good too. Our waitress was super kind especially with the food hiccups. They have one gender neutral restroom stall. It has the prettiest wallpaper. We were stuffed by the time the dessert menus came out. Thankfully they still gave us a mini scoop of ice cream for the birthday girl with a sparkler. It was lots of fun. I think wait times were long for the specials and if we stuck to the regular menu things would've arrived faster. I'd go back to try more yummy food.

Many restaurants place great emphasis and effort on the grand opening to garner good reviews and then drop their quality of service and food over time. This wasn't the case at First Watch. My wife and I visited First Watch a year ago on the day after Thanksgiving and were delighted by the quality of food and service, specifically the thoughtfulness and attention to detail from the staff so much so that we had to return one year later. Upon arrival, we were greeted by our hostess who lead us to our table where our family was already seated. Our server promptly arrived to offer beverages, take our orders, and answer questions. As we waited, the manager greeted us at our table and asked if there was anything we needed while our orders were being prepared. The restaurant was well lit with natural lighting and spacious as we remembered it a year ago. The menus were clear and offered a good selection of entrees, sides and daily specials. I ordered the Farmhouse Hasher with eggs over easy. My wife ordered one of the specials -- the double crunch breakfast tacos. Both were brought to us promptly. My wife loved the tacos and said she hadn't had such great tacos like that in quite a while. The farmhouse hasher was as I remembered it - the potatoes were cooked and seasoned perfectly; the bacon nice and crispy; and eggs over easy delicious. This will be our annual day-after-Thanksgiving morning tradition from now on!

It's more of a cup portion than the price might suggest but quite rich and delicious. We each had a salad. The pork belly crisps in the arugula salad made it a bit more filling, so consider that in ordering. I had the butter poached halibut from the regular menu. It sits upon the thin spanakopita with the sun-dried tapenade on top. The latter was intensely flavored with tomato. A beautiful presentation, but the pairing of the pungent sides with the delicate fish didn't work. My friend had the jerk seasoned hake from the special. Accompanied by a pea risotto and plantains, it was outstanding! Generous pour if you order wine by the glass and for sparkling water, they bring you an entire beautiful blue bottle of Saratoga water.
