The restaurant is large enough to make it a destination for lunch not just takeout orders. Their decor is very attractive with reminders of a bakery of displayed breads. Their menu has many tempting suggestions and there is a build your own option. Deli meats and toppings are displayed behind a glass shield so simply select a bread and make some delicious decisions. My sandwich was the Pastrami Royale 5/5 which was new and going to be a hit because it is tasty and hearty. This is one shop that I will go out of my way to try more of their menu.

I ordered the first thing on the menu because it looked good, and I'm glad I did. They call it a "Chicken Run." It's made with ciabatta, grilled chicken breast, pepper jack cheese, tomatoes, pickles, lettuce, and "garlic sauce" (which, to me, was a garlic aioli). I enjoyed it more than I would have enjoyed getting a hamburger somewhere else. The ciabatta was perfect! Far better than any hamburger bun. The pepperjack cheese was spicier and meltier than most and seemed to be high quality. And the flavors all melded together perfectly. A very nice lady made our sandwiches, wrapped them and bagged them. She was friendly and helpful. The place was cute. And they had board games to play with :-) My wife had the Empire Club and said she enjoyed it. They also had a reuben that looked really tempting and a chicken pesto sandwich on a baguette that caught my eye. But I'm still glad I got the Chicken Run!

I had a disappointing experience at this Corner Bakery. While we were just trying to enjoy a meal, my boyfriend and I -- he's Hispanic , received noticeably rude and judgmental looks from several customers. It created an uncomfortable and unwelcoming atmosphere. To make things worse, my order wasn't prepared correctly, even though I gave clear instructions to give extra cream cheese and toast my bagel. They did not even give my boyfriend the sauce that is INCLUDED with his wrap!!! Between the inattentive service and the uncomfortable vibe, I probably won't be coming back. I hope this location works on fostering a more respectful and inclusive environment for all customers. read more

That was disappointing, especially since my other longtime favorite on Westheimer closed more than a decade ago when I was living in the Energy Corridor. Determined to get my Which Wich fix, I looked up nearby locations and found one in Cinco Ranch. I made the drive from Sugar Land and was happy to see the familiar yellow and silver-colored design that I've always loved. I ordered my usual krab salad on wheat with veggies, heated, and it tasted just as good as I remembered: hot, fresh, and satisfying. These sandwiches are highly customizable! I also noticed they now offer gelato, which was new to me--maybe a newer concept and why not? I had a chance to chat with Julio, who I believe is the owner, and shared my long history and love for Which Wich. He confirmed that several locations have closed, including the Katy Freeway one earlier this year. Unfortunate, but I'm glad this location is still going strong. Great sandwich, friendly people, and a nostalgic experience overall. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely stop by.
