    Breakfast potatoes that were burnt.
    Gina K I.

I had breakfast today at corner bakery. The food here is usually pretty good. Today I ordered the Anaheim scramble with the potatoes as the side. The potatoes were completely burned. I try to eat a little bit of them, but they were just disgusting. They even taste burnt. The young lady that took my order was very friendly and helpful, even suggesting some items that I didn't know they had on the menu. There used to be a manager that would walk around and ask how everybody's food tasted, but this didn't happen when the girl came to pick up my plate. I showed her how burnt the potatoes were and how hard they were and that they were inedible, and I was surprised that they served them like that. She just stared at me like a deer in headlights. The corner bakery is set up nicely. It's got a cozy feel to it. They always have salsa and other condiments available by the drink machine.

Great location close to work, so it was a matter of convenience that brought me here for lunch. They remind me a lot of Panera bread, but maybe with more options?!? I don't know. I ordered a Cob salad and had thier blackcurrant tea - both were quite yummy. But see my issue with Corner Bakery (and yes Panera too) is how gosh darn expensive they are! For a salad and a drink and I was paying close to $15! As much as everything tasted fantastic, I cannot justify buying a salad and some tea for that much.

Ive been many other times but haven't posted. I ordered a Chicken pomidori panini with a broccoli cheese soup. The panini was perfectly crispy on the outside and nice and gooey inside. My date had the carved ham and swiss sandwich with the Mac n cheese. The mac n cheese is a big portion enough to share. Both sandwiches were delicious. My only gripe is they closed soon after we sat down to eat and I hate feeling rushed.

Uptown bacon and avocado with a bowel of tomato soup

Late dinner after my girls softball game. My first time at the Yarbrough location and i think they all look the sam inside. It was a little cool out and people were hanging out on the patio. I didn't see an outdoor fireplace but that woulda been cool. It wasn't too busy so I ordered right away. Like I said it was cool out, so I thought soup was in order. I decided on the classic tomato soup and the uptown turkey avocado sandwich. Wait wasn't long so the food was out in a couple minutes. I wasn't disappointed with the soup. It was chunky and warm not hot. Flavor was good and I think it paired well with my sandwich. I'm a big fan of avocado and bacon and the sandwich was filled with turkey, really thick. In all the food was good, Filling. I'm eyeing those big bowls of pasta so next time!

We really enjoyed this location! I ordered the BLT and chili, my spouse got the Italian panini and baked potato. Kiddos got marinara and Mac n cheese. Plus, they got a cookie with their meals!

An ok place. Nothing too special. Very sweet workers. Food is a little off tasting, bland... boring. Their sweets looked great, the brownie is delicious (and rich). Worth checking out, but a little pricey for what you get.

The ambiance is cozy and welcoming.

This is my second office. I choose to come here when I need to work remotely for many reasons. 1. The location is great, right next to freeway. 2. The food is healthy and yummy. Not to mention they have pastries for dessert! You can refill your drinks, including coffee, as many times as you like. 3. No matter how many hours I need to be here I never feel unwelcome. Did I mention free wifi? 4. Their customer service is superb. On many occasions I have observed the managers go to great strides to make sure not only the customers are taken care of but that the employees are as well. For me that is a big deal! 5. Free coffee after you buy six. They have a reward card that gets stamped every time until you reach your 6th cup. Needless to say I highly recommend them.

    Awesome Manager!

We weren't sure what to expect driving up to it for the first time given that it is located in a shopping center. Inside isn't super big so if you're coming and it's busy be aware that there are 5-6 2-seaters (can probably be pushed together) and a couple 4 to 6-seaters. We came in at about 7:45 in the morning on a Thursday and were the only ones inside at the time. As time went on more people ended up showing up and taking tables. I ordered an "Iced Pistachio Latte"--not a big fan of the metallic straws, but thankfully they had regular straws available. The latte was good, but not great in my personal opinion. It was creamy and sweet but something was lacking. Loved the cup it came in, going with the Halloween vibe. I will definitely be coming back next time I'm in EP, and I definitely recommend this spot!!

They are super sweet as well as all the associates. Can't believe I've lived here in El Paso for almost 7 years and I just discovered this place a few weeks ago other than oh my God oh my God oh my God there are no other words.

They said, we can't do 12 (I figured as much) and our new hires generally start "low". During the hiring process, I was NOT told the actual starting pay was $8/hour during a probation period. (I assumed "low" meant the $10 on the 10 to 14 range I saw on the posted job listing. Shame on me for not realizing the use of logic was optional ). That only came up after I had already accepted the job and started onboarding. It was actually my coworkers that said the new hires started $8 an hour. That's when I asked about pay clarification. "$8" never came up during the interview. When I brought it up, it was THEN confirmed that all new hires start at $8/hour for a few weeks and can get a raise after that. I was also told tips factor into "effective hourly pay," but tips aren't guaranteed and fluctuate too much to realistically count on when you're trying to budget your life. Telling me that I "technically" make $10 an hour with tips is BS. I "technically" have bills to pay and I can't budget my finances based on a technicality. **And if any of you reading this are teenagers looking to get a job here, she specifically told me she doesn't like hiring teenagers because they're unreliable. Yet when I approached her with a very professional message regarding my pay concerns she ghosted me for 3 days, and counting. Who's acting like a teenager now? (No offense to any of you, just running with what she said). I'm not mad about there being a probation period or a starting rate. I'm frustrated that the actual starting pay wasn't clearly communicated upfront compared to the advertised range. I took the job based on that posted range, and the reality didn't match what was presented when I applied. If the 10 to $14 an hour range doesn't match the pay in El Paso then that needs to be the very first thing you bring up during the interview. She said that that posting was from corporate and doesn't reflect the local pay. Maybe lead with that next time. If you just need a few extra bucks on the side, or you're just starting out with your first job, then as Krusty the Clown says, "It's not just good, it's good enough."
