Amazing spot! I can see why people line up here early. We got in line around 11, it was a 1hr and 1/2 ish wait. We were able to order drinks in line which was nice, it was much needed. Ordered several sides "- coleslaw , Mac n cheese, potato salad and beans. Got a brisket and ribs to share. Perfectly cooked tender brisket and fall off the bone ribs! The sides were really flavorful and it's good size to share. Loved the Mac and cheese most. They have tons of seating outside and some of it is covered which is nice. It gets hot sitting in the Texas heat, lol. Worth the wait and a must visit spot if you're in the area!

Amazing bbq. Worth the wait. The line does wrap around the building it seems like usually but it's so worth it. Servers are walking around getting drinks for people too who are waiting which is a nice touch. It's hot outside in the summer though and tables can be hard to come by in side. Overall we love the place!

CorkScrew BBQ definitely lives up to their name by receiving a Michelin Star achievement. Visited on Saturday and will have to say it is worth the wait. While parking space is limited, there is a lot of space to dine both indoor and outdoor. Both are provided with a shade cover and fans. The services is amazing having servers provide drinks when waiting outside and holding up the crowded lobby well by keeping it clean and restocking necessities to customers. The food was well presented and exceeded tasting expectations. Highly recommend to try and will definitely be back!

We have been wanting to try Corkscrew for a while but after reading the reviews, we knew we had to be there early and was prepared to stand in a long line. We went on a Saturday and showed up around 10:45, the line was definitely long and our wait was about 45 minutes. While waiting outside there is water and also employees coming around asking people if they wanted to purchase drinks. Once we made it inside, the gentleman who took our order was funny and kind. All of the employees were very friendly and helpful. My fiancée is a lover of BBQ so he wanted to order almost everything on the menu. We ordered brisket, garlic sausage, pork ribs, the whole chicken, baked beans, Mac and cheese, and apple cobbler. My favorites were the pork ribs and apple cobblers. His favorites were the ribs, brisket, cobbler, and baked beans. I loved the cobbler so much I placed an additional order to go.

Had just enough time to stop here for lunch before going to the airport. There was a line out the door, but it moved pretty quickly. We got some ribs, moist brisket, and a jalapeño cheese link to share. The ribs were the best I've ever had!!! The brisket and sausage were some of the best bbq I've ever had, as well. The ribs were clearly my favorite, so I ate more of those. They had the right amount of smoke flavor and seasoning, and they were perfectly fall-off-the-bone, but still had a little bite to them. In other words, perfect! The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. All around a wonderful experience. I really hope we can come back next time we're in the area, and order a full spread with sides and everything!

CORKSCREW BBQ is Houston's Michelin star restaurant! It is about 30 minutes drive north of Houston, which isn't super bad. They are only open Wednesday-Saturday 11AM-4PM. We came a little earlier and there was already a long line. I heard that if you order in advance, you can skip the line. While you wait, the employees walk around and you can order a drink. Which is nice if you're waiting a while and it gets hot. The employees were all very nice and ambiance is how you would expect a regular bbq restaurant to be. There are plenty of seating outside but limited inside. The seats are all first come first serve, so usually the inside seating runs out first. We ordered 1/2lb ribs, 1/2lb brisket, 1/2lb sausages, and some sides like Mac&cheese, beans, loaded potato, cobbler, etc. total was about $120 after tip. The food was very delicious and worth the drive. Although, I will say that it doesn't taste that much different from my other favorite bbq restaurants. I was still a great experience and very delicious. I highly recommend to try if you're in the area.

This place is packed always!! I spent an hour for this at 1 to 2p. One family sized Potato Salad, pint of Coleslaw and of Baked Beans. $38! Place is cute and Jam packed. I tasted each one on my drive home. The Coleslaw has changed. It was so much better before and not so spicy. More Asian flavor. Potato Salad is loaded with uncut dill. Making me think Grillo's Pickles are used. It has uncut baby spinach too. Baked Beans are good, but very spicy. The changes were very noticeable to me. Out of Turkey at 1p because theirs is the best! Great service and staff. Our Ribs on the pit at home. Only took one of sides because it was to go.

I showed up at 2 on a Friday. Didn't have to wait long and they were only out of potatoes. I call that a win instead of waiting hours like people claim. Solid bbq but nothing was amazing. Maybe I had higher expectations but they didn't meet them. Service was good. I don't like just one bbq sauce. I feel it makes all the bbq the same. I did like theirs. It wasn't too sweet. Just would like spicy and vinegar etc. The best of what I tried was the turkey. Moist and smoked right. The brisket was good but texture was off. Very mushy but tender. Maybe I'll try the lean next time. All meats were tender which is good. The rib was just ok to me. Pickles weee good. The beans were great not sweet and went well. The Mac was ok nothing special. The Apple cobbler was fantastic. Like an Apple cinnamon roll. Enjoyed.

Stopped by Corkscrew BBQ for lunch on a random Tuesday and had no idea it was a Michelin-recognized spot--definitely explains the crowd! We thought showing up at noon would beat the rush... nope. The line was packed, but honestly, everything was so well organized that it moved pretty quickly. Seating was something we were initially worried about, but it ended up not being an issue at all. There's plenty of space both inside and outside, and the outdoor area is huge. As for the food--everything was phenomenal. I had the jalapeño sausage and a baked potato (which was HUGE), and my husband got the brisket. Both were spot on. The mac and cheese was good too, just had a slight aftertaste, but nothing that took away from the overall meal. I also grabbed a turkey salad to go, and that did not disappoint. Customer service was great across the board--the team was friendly, efficient, and made the whole experience smooth, even with the crowd. Overall, such a cool spot and definitely worth the hype. I've heard the cobbler is a must-try, so that's next on the list. Glad this place isn't too far--I'll absolutely be back!

You can smell it before you walk in that's always an amazing sign. Off the top the menu is in your face on a blackboard with items they have left. So you know before ordering. We got brisket sandwiches ( tender but could use more flavor) loaded baked potato (good) and garlic sausage(nice pop of skin and good flavor). The service was amazing! He was so friendly and knowledgeable. Also they have a signature soda machine, extra points on that. Good BBQ for the area.

Wow, absolutely lives up to the hype, and worth the wait. PRO TIP: Come before opening (at least 30 mins or 1 hour) and go to the binder to pick up your number. First 30 or so gets a paper number and you can just wait in your car or walk around. Make sure you are back by 10:45am and walk in according to your number. Best brisket ever. Never tasted anything like that before. I ordered the moist and it melts in your mouth. Pork ribs were also amazing. Took the rest and flew it back to California. Staff was funny and friendly. It was a great atmosphere and there were plenty of sestings outside.

My mouth is literally salivating just thinking about the amazing meal we had here! Honey, I got the brisket with all the fat to go and instantly wished I had dined in so I could order more. It was hands down the best brisket I've ever had!!! Melt-in-your-mouth good. The kind that makes you want to dance and chew very slowly just to enjoy every bite. I wasn't a huge fan of the mac and cheese, but the coleslaw was good--though honestly, forget the side characters because the BRISKET is 100/10!!!!!! Service was fast and casual, and the restaurant itself is cute and country. Again... I don't care about anything but the brisket. Go. Get. The. Brisket. And thank me later!!

Great BBQ. WORTH THE WAIT every single time. Make sure you're there close enough to opening or you'll risk them selling out. I love the pulled pork and brisket. Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage is always a must. Great food and excellent service.

Decent food. Lines are entirely ridiculous and not worth the wait. The food is good quality but the we open til we run out concept is very hoaky. It just makes them look like they don't know how to be open for a real work schedule. read more

They used to operate out of a little trailer and quickly outgrew it. Best brisket I have eaten and I grew up in Texas. Chopped beef sandwich is the best I have ever had. If you are on the hunt for good BBQ you can't miss here. read more

This was our first time trying this place. Honestly...This place has the best BBQ we've ever had. The beef rib is AMAZING! The atmosphere was bad ass. I would absolutely recommend this place to everyone...you have to get there kinda early because they have numbers (1-26) after that everyone has to form a line behind them. I've been trying to find time to visit since they opened in Old Town Spring. Wish I'd tried harder. I got to visit this weekend. All they had left was brisket and garlic links. I also got cherry cobbler. It all was awesome! There are a lot of good BBQ places far north of Houston, but if I'm after brisket or links, I'll go here first. Mind blowing bbq at this off the beaten path shop in Spring, Texas. Hands down the best brisket I have ever eaten. Be sure to get the moist brisket. The lean-brisket is a little dry and isn't nearly as flavorful. The moist brisket falls apart and is just scrumptious. I put a slice of brisket between two pieces of white bread and spread on a little bbq sauce. It was a heavenly sandwich. I tried one pork rib which was good, but not as impressive as the brisket. Side dishes could use a little work. The mac and cheese is just ok. You could probably skip it. read more

We waited for and hour and a half. Everything was delicious and no complaints here. Brisket and Dino rib was my favorites. Mac n cheese and chicken were just as good. Go early if you go on Saturday. They only serve the whole chicken and Dino rib that day. read more

This place has some seriously AWESOME food. My wife and I arrived near 2 on a weekday and the line wasn't too bad, but they were pretty much running out of, or had already ran out of, things to eat. We managed to get the spicy links, brisket, and the last of the pulled pork with some cole slaw and beans on the side. Now my wife is from Tucson so she has never really had good BBQ. When she took her first bites she was floored. I am from Spring and have traveled a bunch through BBQ country and the food was on par with most anything I had while traveling. The food has wonderful flavor for a great price. I also really enjoyed the outdoor seating. If you want some great BBQ, look no further. Just keep in mind that food availability will be an issue if you get there late. Update: 20160909 Came back to the states to visit my mom and I brought her here. The food is just as good as the last time I was here. Moist and lean brisket is delightful, pulled pork is robust in flavor, sausage links are good spicy, the coleslaw is just right, and oh my God these beans are amazing!! read more

I used to live in Houston but have spent the last 8 years in Seattle, where good BBQ is not getting the respect it deserves, so my review might be a bit biased. With this in mind, this Cork Screw has just amazing BBQ and awesome service. We came with four friends and ordered a variety of items, the beer ribs, lean brisket, sausage, and turkey, with a side of potato salad and mac & cheese. I could go off and tell you about all the awesomeness that was happening in my mouth as I was eating a bit of each menu item, but it's just hard to put it all in words, so I'll just say this: Both their main dishes and their sides are delicious and very well prepared, so it just comes down to what you are in the mood for (you won't be disappointing). My general recommendation: go for variety if you can. Also, their staff was super friendly and checked on us a few times to make sure we had everything we needed even though it was super busy. All in all, gotta try this place! read more

Brisket is more like pot roast, not flavorful and an odd texture. Sausage tastes straight out of a package from Kroger. Ribs are fairly good, nice flavor. Service was awful, staff was not friendly at all. Corkscrew is Trash bbq. Go to Killens. Trust me. read more

Pros: Have been here many times. First time it was amazing and I will say the brisket melts in mouth and potato salad is yummy!! It is probably some of the best BBQ in the area. Cons: Seating is uncomfortable for large people. But after a few trips I realized it was a bit over rated and over priced. I only go here now when my friends insist on it. read more

It's probably a good thing that this place is located so far away from me. I'd probably be there every weekend otherwise. Corkscrew was another "must try" on our list of BBQ places in Houston. I had tried the brisket, sausage, potato salad, and ribs. The brisket is perfect! The ribs fall off the bone and taste amazing. I wasn't a huge fan of the sausage. The potato salad was also really good. For dessert we had the pineapple cobbler. To be honest, I really hated it. It's just too sweet for my taste buds. read more

Definitely a winner. This is the closest you can come to Franklin's BBQ here in Houston. The lines are considerably shorter and it took us roughly 20 minutes at noon on a Tuesday. I ordered 1/4 lbs (3 slices) of the lean brisket and a rib. I tried to be conservative as usually my eyes are bigger than my stomach. The brisket had a nice flavor to it, very reminiscent of Franklin's brisket. The rib was unusually big for a pork rib (who said hormones and GMO is a bad thing :-)) and the taste was pretty good. The BBQ sauce is excellent and complemented the meats. Definitely the best BBQ I have tried in Houston. read more

This is the best BBQ in the state as I see it. The amount of flavor in every one of the meats is crazy. The brisket is my favorite though. Always incredibly moist but not shredding to little bits and pieces. The sausage and pulled are also really good but this is Texas and brisket is king. Today I had the chopped and screwed sandwich. Which has pulled pork chopped beef and sausage with jalapeño coleslaw. There has to have been a pound of meet on the thing. I couldn't believe how big it was. The great part to me was that some fell out of the bun so I saved it and ate it at the end by its self. The service was great at the counter and I was lucky and they had no line when I got here. If you like BBQ and you are able body you should have been here yesterday. read more

Visited for the first time since CorkScrew moved from Sawdust Rd. I shouldn't have waited so long. Everything we ordered was delicious. The turkey was moist and flavorful, slaw was incredibly good, bbq sauce great, blueberry cobbler amazing! Well done! read more

I had the 1/2 lb sliced brisket with potato salad. Great smoke ring and the bark was delicious too. Potato salad wasn't too sweet or sour. Great service, bus boy was very polite too. Will definitely come back again when I'm away from home and craving bbq read more

You don't ever know if they still have meat. They are out of ribs every time I've gone. The line to get in is impossible. You can't call in a small order or even call to see if they still have meat. Pricey on top of all of that. Will never go again, tired of wasting time. read more

Really good BBQ. The beef Rib is really good. Cole slaw spicy, Has jalophino in it. Good though. Potato salad with pork n beans are good. They have cobbler, we had Apple. Oh man really tasty. Service was great. As soon as you get there make sure you get a number on the porch. That gets you in and your for sure to get what you want. Enjoy read more

Went today 09/04/2021. It was very hot outside and we waited 2 hours but when we finally got into the air conditioning and ordered it was a relief. Brisket and ribs were very very very good. Had BBQ beans and they were good too. If they keep there quality up , it is NOT to be missed if you are in Spring Tx and like BBQ. Staff at the restaurant were above pleasant and we enjoyed interacting with them. Pricey but BBQ is expensive to make. read more

The best BBQ in Houston hands down. Killen's is good but Corkscrew is out of this world. From the ambiance to the quality of all meat and ingredients - you cannot do better ANYWHERE. I've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. Went to Killen's for the first time this past Sunday. Their facilities are a bit "fancier" but that's where their advantage ends. Corkscrew brisket flavor is unaided by large amounts of noticeable exterior spicing and rub, whereas Killen's relies on an exterior rub to bring flavor. Also Corkscrew sides are considerably better - best beans I've had anywhere. Do yourself a favor and EAT HERE read more

Brisket melts in your mouth, some of the best I've had. Sausage was also excellent with great flavor. Line on a Tuesday was long but had some Christmas lunch groups ahead of me so took an hour when arriving at 11:15am. read more

Up until this point in my life, I did not eat brisket! This place has the most delectably delicious brisket I have ever tasted! I come at least once a week to get a half pound of it for myself! I got lucky one day and came late and they had the end of the brisket left...oh my god..it was fantastic! Definitely get there early cause they do sell out! read more

I somewhat consider myself an expert in brisket and Corkscrew is hands down the 2017 Astros, World Champs! When you take a bite of their moist brisket your taste buds jump for joy. Is it worth the wait? Absolutely! Their prices are better than most of the other "top BBQ joints" in the Houston area and the quality of their meat is exceptional! Also their cobblers are better than Grandma's! read more

Great BBQ but super pricey and portions were miserable. You would get more food for you money else where. I ordered the two meat plate with one side and the serving we're shocking I got 2 thin slices of brisket and a scoop of pulled pork but 2 scoops of potato salad. And it cost me $15 bucks. The BBQ was great and cooked just right. read more

This was my favorite part of the meal, but it's also very sweet. The owner let me know that they smoke the bananas and the sea salt which goes on top. I've been lucky to visit most of the famous Q joints in Texas (Franklin's, Pecan Lodge, Snow's, Black's, Salt Lick, Bryan's, Cousins, La Barbecue, Brisket House, Kreuz, Smitty's, Truth, Rudy's, Miller's, Micklethwait and more) and while they are all excellent, I found absolute perfection at Corkscrew! Folks, IMHO Corkscrew BBQ (in Spring, TX) has the BEST BRISKET IN TEXAS !! I ordered lean brisket and from the first bite on was in awe. It was so great that I never even considered using sauce. First, it was gorgeous to look at with a thicker than usual reddish smoke ring around beautiful lean beef and with a glorious thin layer of bark surrounding the entire slice! When ordering brisket at Corkscrew, you get the option of lean or "moist" (more fatty). I always go with lean and got exactly that (see photo - sorry, I was half way through before I emerged from my state of taste bud rapture to realize I needed a photo!) Even though it was perfectly lean, I had never experienced brisket this moist. It was also extremely tender. The smoke flavor was exceptional and not overpowering like some. And the flavor and texture from the bark edge was perfect. This brisket checked every box as at least 10 out of 10. It was simply perfection. I was in Houston for only 3 days, but went back to Corkscrew each day (!) to confirm that the first time wasn't a fluke. Confirmed! The third day I was a little later for lunch, arriving around 1:00 (on a Friday) hoping they hadn't run out of brisket. There was still a line out the door, but they move the herds through pretty quickly. When I reached the counter about 1:15 and ordered lean brisket again, the young man at the register said they were almost out. Of note, they take your name for the order to call out when it's ready and this young man actually remembered my name from the day before! He sees probably several hundred customers a day. I was impressed and told him so. They also have several people attending the dining area making sure you have whatever you need, such as drink refills or more sauce - a service you don't get at many Q joints. Back to my order on the third day: I lucked up big time and got the last 3 slices of a lean brisket, which included an (often called burnt) end! For the third straight day, it was exceptional. You know, when you're saying OMG with the last bite on the third consecutive day of the same meal, that's confirmation of extremely high quality (and that I'm an incurable BBQ junkie). I can only vouch for the brisket, but saw many happy faces there with ribs, links, pork, turkey and even tacos. On a "side" note, I got a baked potato one day, a rare option at Q joints. I did not get dessert, but one fella across the table said the peach cobbler was great. Another interesting feature is that their soda machine is neither Pepsi nor Coke products, but a real sugar brand with a coke-like version (that was pretty good) and a half dozen or so other flavors. Their sweet tea was very good as well. In my book, Corkscrew gets an A+ in every facet, including their people, service, system and product. Best bbq in the Houston area, the subpar reviews are not even called for and the people that have given bad reviews should just eat at home, there's a reason the line wraps around the block every day and you don't get that for selling basic bbq! The food here is phenomenal! And that is from my one experience after my husband brought it back for me on a 6-hour plane ride. I can only imagine how amazing it would be fresh! I hope to try it in the restaurant one day. The brisket was so moist and delicious. Visited this place for lunch yesterday and I had the BBQ ribs. The meat was cooked well and tasted so delicious. Very tender in every bite. It was my first time coming here the food was really good, i ordered the brisket and it was amazing full of flavor, and my wife really loved it too shes not a big fan of BBQ but she really enjoyed it! This spot is super popular, so it was no surprise when there were no tables available. My boyfriend and I decided to sit at the bar. The bartender greeted us promptly and made us some great drinks. She recommended some great dishes and pairings of wine for those dishes. It ended up being a great experience. Will come here again. read more

Good barbecue but they are a little cocky. One of the best things that I can say about this place is the food which most people that would be enough. There appears to be a genuine lack of appreciation for people to eat there. It nearly feels like you're more of a burden to them. They are not rude but far from friendly. read more

Last visit was in December but it was closed for the last week of the month I am sure they deserve some rest but may inform to the clients as we travel from far to eat at their delicious place. It is by far the best BBQ in Spring, hope they can just inform when they are closed or leave a few members at the restaurant read more
