Kale Caesar Chicken Bowl - my first CoreLife meal, of which I expect many more to follow.
    Bill Z.

My sister had told me about CoreLife a few months ago, saying how they were moving eastward in New York. And now, here they are. I feel that if they can maintain this level of conscientiousness in their values, the quality of their food, and the way they treat their customers, they will have continued success over the next few years (until they get too big for their britches, which often happens to chains once they reach a certain size). It's really simple in its execution: good ingredients for bowls made to order, asking for your preferences every step of the way. Mix in a friendly staff and a pleasant dining area, and you've got a win. A beet juice infused fountain drink? Wow! My only concern is that if CoreLife does too well, it may take business away from other independent salad specialty restaurants in the Capital District, many of which I also frequent. Hopefully there's room for all of them.

The food is good. The service is awful. Due to dietary needs I ordered a full breast with my regular bowl. Alexis, the GM, complained the whole time she cut up my chicken breast and told me it would be extra. Apparently the regular bowl only comes with 1 scoop of chicken. She charged me for an additional 6 scoops. My regular bowl cost over $28!! I went home and weighed the chicken I was given (5.8 oz). I could've eaten a steak dinner at a nice restaurant! As I was paying I asked for cilantro and she told me they were out for the night since she wanted to get rid of me. I could clearly see the cilantro in the cilantro bowl. If you want to be treated nicely, go somewhere else!!! Whatever happened to good customer service?

This is our go to place for lunch or dinner! Casual- Fresh and quick! My daughter is hooked on the kids chicken noodle soup- She gets an upgrade and asks for a large every time- As a Mom I love that the broth is Bone broth- super healthy Mom win!! Everything is made here- fresh - natural and local from what I understand! Tonight I'm trying something new - the BBQ Chicken rice bowl- I love their Flank Steak rice bowl and the BBQ bowl does not disappoint! The chicken is nicely coated in the BBQ sauce which is not overpowering like I was worried about!! Another thing that brings me back each week is the lemonade!!! I love their creativity with flavor combos!! Tonight I'm trying the Cranberry Lemonade with Cheyenne- Cheyenne is not overwhelming- nice combination of heat and tart!

    Steak Fajita

The guy on the phone when I called for my order was professional and kind and apologized for the drink that I ordered and said I'd be refunded. Overall the food was ok but not much flavor and the veggies in the fajita were a bit over cooked. The soup was bland. I hope they do improve.

This is a game changer ! Look out Chipotle and Panera ! Corelife Eatery will eat your lunch ! And your Dinner ! This is by far one of the best concepts in Fast casual food in a long time ! Today was he Grand opening in Clifton Park , N.Y I tried the Berry Bowl Delicious ! I added Thai spicy chicken and a hard boiled egg . Drinks seems pricey but are Wonderful! Brand new stand alone building with Great AC and out door seating . This MAY Be my number one choice for food when I'm in the area ! Thank you! I've been back 3 times since this review and the last time was Wednesday-1/9/19 This Will be my LAST VISIT! Food - Not even close to 1st day , And declines every visit since Staff - They Don't Care ‍! Silverware yes nice touch although I'd rather have one CLEAN plastic fork than 20 dirty ones . Great Concept ! Poor Management! TIP---DRINKS- DELICIOUS !

They need to work on cleaning. The place was really dirty and no one seemed to care. Food was everywhere, gloves on the ground. The tables were dirty and there was food all over the counters. Bathrooms haven't been cleaned in days either.

The addition of the coffee bar/cafe menu has only further endeared me to the place. Just like their food, many of the components of the coffee menu are scratch made, including the milks. They make a pistachio, almond, and oat milk all in house. There may be more too, but those three I know for certain. The attention to detail is also impressive, such as the presentation of each beverage. The cups the drinks are served in aren't just pretty, but also sturdy. Which as a clumsy person, I appreciate. Harder for me to spill. Ha! Something to keep in mind about the cafe menu is that since everything is mainly scratch made or ordered special (their Matcha is from Japan) they will be out of things at times. But there's nothing bad on the menu so I humbly suggest going in with an open mind. The lack of one item being available has caused me to try others, and I haven't disliked anything! I hope they continue to do well and are in the area for a long time to come.

Instead they shook jiggled and forced this into my cup. I was pretty shocked they handed it over. The person working the blender seemed embarrassed and I'm pretty sure was instructed by whomever was working the register to just give it to me. Uncommon Grounds nails it on both counts and is a great spot to get a little work done to boot. Stopped by this location when I was in the area for some coffee and breakfast. I'm usually in search of sugar free options as well as milk alternatives. Uncommon Grounds had a couple sugar free options (yay! caramel and vanilla) and a few different milk alternatives. I got a caramel latte made with almond milk and it was dreamy. For my breakfast, I got the Mediterranean breakfast sandwich on a salt bagel. It came with egg, spinach, avocado, tomato, and a bit of pesto. Delicious! The only tiny thing for me was the tomato made the sandwich kinda slippery and difficult to eat so the next time I ordered it (which was literally the next day), I got it with double the spinach and no tomato. The service was really lovely and the prices are reasonable. They're a popular spot and were pretty busy when I was in and even with that everyone was so kind and helpful. Get to it!

Service is consistently meh. Aside from a couple of very friendly staff, most visits are met with employees moving like they just woke up resulting in lines. Never bothers me because I usually go there to get a little work done, but it's not a place I'd go if I'm in a rush. Well to be fair, the airport team is always EXCELLENT. Here's my only negative. I just bought a dozen bagels and they were hockey pucks. I tried. Couldn't do it. Inedible. But weird because I usually grab a breakfast sandwich at their airport locations the they've been very good. Did I get a horrible batch? Idk? Seating is tight. I'm part of the problem. Lots of students. But I've also seen couples, friends, retirees, etc. not on any tech enjoying a long conversation with their group which I think is a plus. Solid 5 most visits, but those Clifton Park bagels were memorable in a not so pleasant way.

If you've never been here before, I highly recommend trying two items in particular: 1. Beer cheese dip 2. BBQ (Or any other) mac & cheese I should note that the BBQ mac & cheese (previously the Memphis BBQ Mac) recipe has changed over the years, so this review may not hold forever. That said, mac & cheese in general has been the most reliable item on the menu for me. I've tried plenty of other dishes here over time -- fish & chips, burgers, fish and chicken tacos, and nearly every mac & cheese variation -- but I'll stick to reviewing what we ordered on this visit. This time around, my wife ordered the fish and chips, and I ordered the BBQ mac & cheese. The mac & cheese was delicious, and the BBQ sauce added a nice sweetness that paired really well with the pulled pork. The fish and chips were also very good. The fries were a bit soggy, but since we ordered to-go and they had to survive the drive home, I won't knock them for that. Portion sizes here are fantastic and easily justify the price. I love this spot -- it's a dependable comfort food destination for me. The staff are always helpful and knowledgeable, especially when it comes to beer recommendations. We opted to try two new sandwiches since none of our regulars were available. Both were prepared without any care. They were very sloppily thrown together, I had to reassemble them to take the picture because half the contents were falling out. The Frontega sandwich had very little sauce in it and they don't give you any on the side when you ask for more. Of the two sandwiches the spicy fiesta tasted better so we might give it another try at a different cafe. I also ordered the pomegranate hibiscus tea for my sip club drink and it had zero flavor. To quote my husband "it tastes like extremely watered down cough medicine". I ended up dumping it and refilling with lemonade and passion papaya ice green tea mixed together instead. The green tea cuts the tartness of the lemonade and makes for a great concoction when combined. I've been a long time Panera fan but don't visit as often anymore because of how pricey it has become. I won't let the visit at this cafe detour me from visiting other cafes though.
