First off, the indoor and especially the outdoor space here at Druthers is quite nice. You'd never know it from a drive by, just how expansive it really is. Also, the parking lot is huge. The outdoor space is inviting and pretty. However on this particular evening I opted for indoor seating as I am not the most heat tolerant. I tried calling ahead but as this was somewhat last minute, reservations were closed. My wait wasn't terrible though and I was seated in about 25 minutes on a busy night. I didn't think that was bad at all. You can get a drink by the bar and hang out or just park yourself on one of many benches available as you wait. Once seated, we had their beer cheese and Bavarian pretzels which is a must and bang bang shrimp for starters. We ordered a Buffalo chicken mac and cheese, a burger, an angry bee pizza and a drutherbird fried chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich stood out the least to me, and was simply average. Everything else was good. However, I thought that the skillet mac and cheese was not as thick and creamy as the one that I'm used to at the Druthers located in downtown Saratoga. The meal was good but different from what I am used. Again, all personal preference. The ambiance alone here is well worth a visit though and quite surprising in a very good way!

Buffalo Chicken Mac and cheese (substitute Buffalo sauce for Carolina gold)

We came in here as a group of three because we were searching for something new. I personally wasn't a fan of the Mac and Cheese but was told the pizza was good. We also ordered the nacho waffle fries which were better than we expected. I'd recommend trying those out. As for the service . It was a little slow and the hostesses didn't seem too energetic.

I have been a fan of Druthers for a long time, but maybe I can't say that as strongly anymore. Maybe they expanded too quickly and are making shortcuts. Maybe they don't care so much about quality anymore. The Mac and cheese was so over cooked you couldn't even identify the noodles. It wasn't creamy at all, the sauce was too thick and gloopy. The flavor also missed the mark. I have ordered the mac from every location multiple times and I have never been served anything like this. It was super disappointing. It pains me to write this. Even the pretzels weren't as good as usual! They were wildly salty and this sauce was too way too thick. I am not sure if it just this location, but the food was extremely inconsistent to my usual druthers experience. The service was also super disappointing. The server barely stopped by our table and whispered to us whenever he was there. It is so wide open and loud in this space we could barely hear him. Yeah, this place is GORGEOUS. I was stunned. It's like a wedding venue. I can only imagine how lit that patio is in the summer. I will return to enjoy that patio and give them another chance, but I don't think I will be talking as highly about Druthers any longer.

I've been going to Saratoga druthers for years and I think Clifton Park is a great addition to the family. Good food, recently elevated pub grub and quick service plus good beer and a casual atmosphere.

Finally, I got to visit on Mother's Day! It was relatively busy with Mother's Day and graduation celebrations, but thankfully, there were plenty of seats at the bar, so my boyfriend and I sat there. We were immediately greeted by the bartender and given some food and drink menus. I opted for the "Quite Polarizing" sour, and my boyfriend ordered the Red Ale. Both were great! For food, we ordered the Angry Bee Flatbread with red sauce, pepperoni, candied jalapeños, mozzarella and honey, and the French Onion Grilled Cheese. The Flatbread was the size of a pizza - it was more than enough for the two of us. It was thin, crispy, and super flavorful. The grilled cheese was absolutely delicious! If you're a fan of French onion soup, you need this in your life! Overall, the food and beer were great, the bartender was so attentive, and the ambiance was nice. I'm looking forward to returning and enjoying their expansive outdoor space!

First time at the Clifton Park Druthers. This places is huge compared to Saratoga. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Same great menu. We did apps of fried pickles, beer pretzels and bread boneless wings. Our son had the blacken shrimp tacos. Service was good. Nice patio and it appeared they have s beer garden. Definitely coming back!

Each successive Druthers site seems to be bigger than the last. It also appears that the phrase, "If you build it, they will come" applies as well. With all the terrace and patio space this one has (obviously closed in January), and parking to accommodate it all, it almost felt like I was parked in Halfmoon on a busy night. Reservations are strongly suggested for larger groups, and I'm really glad we had one. The beer list continues to be extensive and varied, with something for everyone. At our table, their milkshakes were popular as well. The beers I ordered were even discounted on my receipt - I don't know why, and I'm not complaining about it. On a busy night such as this one, it may take a little longer for a large beer order to make it to your table. If you're impatient for that first beer, maybe get it at the bar yourself. The food menu has changed maybe a little. I saw a lot of "old favorite" appetizers and meals among those at my table. This time, I tried their Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich. The piece of chicken was larger than the bun, nicely cooked, crisp coating, good texture with the add-ins such as pickles and bacon. But it was lacking in taste. Is the chicken brined? If not, consider it, or a slightly spicier batter, and that would do the trick. The fries I got to accompany it were crisp, but unusually small, and merely warm, as if they had been under a heat lamp awaiting their turn to be packed into their cup. Among all the Druthers I've visited (3 of the 4 so far), I've always experienced great service, and this one was just as good. In general, Druthers remains a great option for food and drink.

As recommended by some Yelpers, my husband decided to come here for a visit during our Saratoga Springs visit. They don't accept reservations so we take our chances of being a walk in and picked the after 8 pm dinner. I love the ambiance. A typical brewery in the upstate where everyone wanted to start their weekend by getting some food and drinks with family and friends. They have plenty of options for foods and of course with their beers. The famous Druthers Mac and cheese was what I picked , a seldomly food offered to any brewery houses. Of course, the hubby was happy to try two of their famous drafts. It is closing at 11 am , kitchen at 10 tonight but still can see lot if people coming in. This place must be a popular hangout of locals and we know how exactly why. Service is fast. Friendly staff. Pricing is accommodating. Location is good.

Chocolate raspberry porter!! Good beer lousy food, WAY long wait for table.

Food was a waste of time. Pretzel Bites taste nothing like pretzels and and super salty (and I love salt). Service is bad. Waited over 2 hours after being told an hour and 15 wait time. Young girls at the front can't manage arranging tables for large parties (we were 10). So they make you wait Thank god we got seats at the bar oherwise .... Tomato soup and grilled cheese: fucked that one up. Lukewarm soup and soggy bread. Everyone's food was cold except the chicken pot pie. I understand the outside is glorious in the summer but the inside sucks in the winter.

I've always been pleased with every experience I've had at each of the previous three Druthers over the past 10 years. The new Clifton Park location continues that enjoyment. Architecturally, it is as impressive as the Saratoga location if not more impressive. It's vastness alone is amazing. Joined by two fellow retirees on a Friday at 1 p.m., I was greeted by very friendly staff and informed that it was likely to be a 20-30 minute wait for a table. I did see a few open seats at either of the two bars, but that would not have met our needs today. I was asked for my cell phone number and a test message was sent to ensure that I'd receive notice when our table was ready. But today had to be our lucky day. Not even five minutes later the nearby hostess asked me if a high-top would be acceptable. With my affirmative response we were seated as soon as the table was cleared. While many restaurants are facing staff shortages, we were promptly approached by our server to take drink orders and left to peruse the food menu. If I had the slightest disappointment, it was that the two dark beers I preferred, an oatmeal stout, and a porter, were not available on draft, only in cans or bottles. Facing that, I chose the draft Imperial Raspberry Porter. It was not overly sweet, had a light raspberry flavor, and a good blend of malt and roast flavor. All of our drinks were promptly served, and we were able to place our food order without any delay. I point this out because with the restaurant at near full capacity, service was impeccable. From the large menu of appetizers, soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, and mac and cheese, I ordered the Carabama Pork Sandwich ($17). Served on a fresh brioche roll, there was a pile of delicious and tender smoked pulled pork along with pickles, onion straws, and house slaw, all topped with both Carolina BBQ sauce and Alabama white sauce. My choice of fries on the side instead of greens was also a high point. The fries were nice and hot, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Even the ones that I ate after I finished my sandwich were still really good. Dining companions said they were very pleased with their meals also - a Southern Fried Chicken sandwich, and a Burger. About 2 p.m. it was apparent that some tables were now opening up.

It's September 28th and guess what, Druthers just opened their 4th location in Clifton Park and decided come give it a try. The place is massive and probably can seat close to or over 500 people. The restaurant/brewery is located in the heartbof Clifton Park. All this is going to do, is add to the traffic woes on Rt 146! The restaurant looks beautiful and with high ceilings, multiple bars and an amazing outdoor space. I would rate the restaurants service 4.5, ambience and crowd 5 and food 3. I don't drink but tasted Druthers Manhattan, which I would rate a 4.5.

The best place for outdoor dining no doubt in Clifton Park. The inside of the place is an amazing timber frame. I'm glad we had time to walk around before our table was ready. They have tons of outdoor seating. You would have to combine all the outdoor seating in Clifton park to come close to the amount of outdoor space here. They have 7 Cornhole games in the back. Adirondack chairs are all over the place. They also have an outdoor bar that separate from the main building with bathrooms too! Saturday of opening weekend was a 30 minute wait. All the wait staff was friendly. Our sever was very attentive. Small issues like the carbonation was off for the seltzer did not deter. We started out with the Buffalo dip. It was great. Chips were fresh. Buffalo dip was very tasty. My wife and daughter had the Mexican pizza with chorizo. Only one piece of pizza made it back to the house. I started out with a screwball whiskey milkshake. Delicious. I had to share it with my wife. I had the grilled cheese with Cole slaw. The Cole slaw was very creamy and delicious. The sandwich has a good combination of chicken cheese and bacon. It was a perfect weather day to enjoy the newest addition to Clifton park. We will be back. I cannot wait to sit by the fireplace with a when it's freezing out!

First off, presentation and crust game? Solid. You're getting a good bake, decent structure, and slices that hold their own. Not floppy, not overly stiff right in that respectable middle lane. That's a win. Now let's talk about the sauce... because this is where things get mixed. Taking a look at some of the chatter on Yelp, there's a noticeable trend and I've got to agree. The sauce is inconsistent. Some bites hit with a nice tang and balance, but others feel either a little too sweet or lacking depth. It doesn't always punch through the cheese like you want it to. For a place trying to compete in the pizza game, sauce consistency is everything--and right now, it's just not elite. Cheese and toppings are good--not mind-blowing, but definitely respectable. No complaints there. Quality is there, just not standout.

Probably not, but I was hungry. *shrug* I got a slice of cheese, a slice of BBQ chicken and a bottled water for just under six bucks. Great deal! They're nice, big, classic NY slices. The flavor seemed a bit mild to me, but that could've been the fluoride treatment affecting my taste buds. Regardless, the pies looked and tasted good. Clean oven = no soot on the bottom, unlike some lazy places. Chatted with the owner for a bit and he seemed like a nice guy. The shop only has a few small tables, so it's probably more of a takeout / delivery place unless you're just looking for a quick snack. Definitely recommend giving Pizza Palace a try!

But it's the quality assurance of this place.... half the time you order on a Saturday and their system accepts the order, the DoorDash driver comes by and "whoops!" they're closed. Then you ask when they open and they'll say 10am... and someone says "we had a family emergency"... and while I get that, how about you turn off the ordering system to accept the orders so I'm not out the money and the driver doesn't waste time driving to pick up the food? Then sometimes you'll get a great saucy pizza (which I love).... but other times, someone just decides to be lazy and take a pizza they've had sitting around under the counter for slices and just use that. So you paid $15+ for a pizza to be cooked fresh and you get a pizza that's dry and tastes like someone reheated the whole pizza. That was the last straw for me because they do it so many times... both of those things. Great pizza sauce, great pizza, but OMG, I can tell why I never see anyone inside your pizza place whenever I go... And they haven't changed... they used to sometimes just burn the crap out of the pizza too... you'd get a pizza that crumbles in your hand under it, or sometimes you'll get a crust with a huge bubble in the middle because they just didn't care. And that's why I stopped ordering from them... just laziness and no one is really around to make sure they don't do these things...... shame, really.
