The space is interesting, and to me the beers were even more interesting. Since I like darker beers, I appreciated that they had several, but the ones in cans - not on tap - are not available for flights. The IPAs I sipped were refreshing, but my personal focus was on the Black Forest Cake Stout, simply because I'd not had something of this flavor before (the cherry flavor was there). Conversation with the staff was enjoyable and informative as well. I've been coming to Unified and loving the beer and now I can review their food because they opened The Kitchen! The food trucks were nice but the kitchen is even better. I had an order of chips/salsa first. The salsa has large chunks and a nice smoky flavor. Not spicy/hot. Then I had the sweet pot taco and the chicken Al pastor taco, both are actually really good. The sweet pot taco is a large roasted piece of sweet potato on the bottom and then pine nuts etc on top. The pine nuts add a nice crunchy texture. The Al pastor was moist and had a great slaw on top. Both had great flavor, not dry, and the tortillas were nice as well. (FYI Single tortilla not double). The menu isn't huge - but it doesn't need be because what they have is good. They have come up with some interesting flavors, and there is something for everyone. They offer GF and can accommodate no cheese etc if needed. Now you can stay even longer! read more

It is 87 degrees out and they have a mini split air conditioner that was off. It was beastly hot in there. There are no fans and no air movement. *** Also, be aware, your tip when you pay your bill is not divided if food is ordered. ALL of your tip goes to the bar maids. I have spoken to staff twice about this. This practice is dishonest and should be changed so that the people preparing food should get a portion of the tip. read more

Finding breweries where we go is always at the top of my fiancé and I's list. It's great that they are still doing flights as a lot of breweries stopped doing so during covid. We each had a flight and were able to choose the four beers we'd like to try. We are IPA people and we loved each one that we tried. I love the acrylic holders they use for the flights. It also makes it easier to carry to your table. We opted to sit outside because it was daytime and they did have outside incase you got cold. They had signs on the table to let you know it had been sanitized. You can also purchase small snacks like pretzels and goldfish. They did have a food truck there for those who wanted a meal. We will be back here whenever we return to the area! read more

Unified is just over 1 year old. With what they're doing, I think they will have a long life! I had the perfect opportunity to finally stop by for the first time last night: the taproom was literally on my way home, the Unified social media guru made a post about tapping a new keg of sour beer (a personal summer fave), so of course that influenced my driving route, *and* the new beer was a collab with SUNY SCCC's Craft Beer Brewing Program, so not only did my tastebuds benefit from sipping the new sour, but so did the fundraiser they held to support the brewing program, so it was a win-win all around. A trifecta, if you will. The taproom was bumpin', as a large group of die hard running/beer enthusiasts swarmed the grounds in need of some serious hydration on the heels of their evening jaunt. FWIW, this organized Clifton Park-based running group (there were t-shirts galore) might meet at Unified every Wednesday to get their run/drink on, in case you wanna get in on that. Beer drinking runners, unite! Regardless of the large crowd, there was plenty of room to spread out, or stretch, and with the soaring ceilings, open garage doors, and a refreshing breeze blowing through, you couldn't even smell the runners! (I kid). The vibe felt more like a relaxed Friday night then a hump day hideout, so the only downside was having to keep in mind that it was not, in fact, Friday. I loved the sour, but I'll absolutely be back for my very own pint of the stout, as my trusty sidekick finished the evening with this velvety smooth and delicious brew fit for a true queen (or king), and it tasted like dessert A word to the wise: if you're heading here for the first time, use your GPS! Without it, Unified is easy to miss: tucked away in an inconspicuous warehouse (plaza?) in a thicket of tall pine trees, it's hard to believe it's just steps from RT 9. I frequented this unsuspecting and pleasant back alley brewery on a Sunday afternoon. They have a large indoor sitting area that was spacious and clean as well as a cozy outdoor sitting area. This is such a special place. I am not a beer drinker but I don't think twice when someone wants to go here. It's kind of in a warehouse area so it is deceiving on the way in but just follow all the cars because that's where everyone is going! The beers are constantly being changed out and there are usually between 8-10 kinds on tap. A lot of people really like their sours. I personally love their stouts. They offer flights as well if you wanted to try a bunch. The owners are wonderful and it's like going to their home, they take such pride in the experience and environment. When it is nice out they open the garage doors. They often times have live music, all of which have been really good. It's defiantly all about the beer here but they do have great Saratoga chips out on the tables and you can order cheese/snack plates. The have food trucks there during special events and most weekends. Worth a trip!! read more

Unified has always had outdoor seating but they've upgraded a little recently to add shade over the outdoor patio and some seating on the side. The response to coumos food edict has included locally sourced cheese cheddar and Gouda as well as crackers. The cheese is good the Gouda goes well with the sours. read more

This is one of my all time favorite craft breweries, the beer and staff are phenomenal. Did I mention the beer? Great selection for any taste. After years of traveling to breweries all around the country I've finally found a place to satisfy all my beer needs. iPAs, Double IPAs, sours, Davison's, stouts. They have them all and they're all delicious. When you speak to the owners it's apparent why, they refuse to put out beer just because they spent money brewing it. If it's not amazing they're dumping it. The owners are awesome, the beer tenders are wonderful, the bathrooms are clean. We've been customers since their first day opening and haven't stopped going. This place smells and looks brand new. The beer is really good and I even had an IPA that I enjoyed very much. They also have pretzels and handout potato chips to cleanse the pallet and munch on. This place honestly is 5 stars for the atmosphere and 5 stars for the beer. My only issue was one of the bartenders/servers was slightly rude and sarcastic on a couple of occasions and questions. They have a very nice outside patio and an overall also atmosphere. Cute little brewery! This place is awesome. I like to think of myself as an established beer snob and this place is right up there with the best and I'm really surprised that we have THIS good of beer in the 518 (I love my home but this area is nothing but crap beer unless you go south towards the city or straight to VT/MA). The IPAs are dreamy and creamy, the pale ale is not so pale, the stout I tried was great and the sours were pretty good too (those are the one thing that needed much improvement but hey I'm just one person). I took two growlers home, fantastic! This place deserves more recognition, I know they're brand new are they fire! Great job guys, the atmosphere is great, the beer is even better, the staff is knowledgeable and nice, 10/10 would recommend. I'm gonna be hated for saying this but samurai hipster" is surpassing anything treehouse is putting out these days and that's just one of the IPAs. Dangerously good UPDATE: as phenomenal as they were before, the more popular they've become has made the quality control go way down. Definitely not as delicious as it once was. Sinking into that common roots territory :( very sad to see that happen so soon. read more

Just got home from a visit to Unified... Very good beer and a good selection of styles including IPAs, NE IPAs, Pale Ale, Stout and a couple offerings of my new favorite, sours. Had a 4 flight to get a lay of the land and all were quite tasty. Settled on a NE IPA and DIPA for wife and I. Close to home and comfortable environment to toss back a couple of pints. Will never visit this place again. The man behind the bar had such a nasty attitude - go home if you don't want to work. The beer tasted watered down. made the mistake of stopping in for a beer and growler fill up. my tactical error...bringing a clear growler. was informed they could not fill it as clear growlers damage the beer. I understand that if left to light or not consumed quickly...but it was 8pm on a Friday night and would never see the light of day. it was a shame as we had a good time when here before, there are plenty of choices in the area and this seems a wee bit uptight and snobbish. First time visit on a Friday around 5:30/6. Cool spot and had live music. Stout is on point and nice selection of sours. The blueberry and rosemary sour was wonderful. Horrible experience with unbelievably rude and condescending employee (owner?). While attending a children's birthday party at a nearby business, a group of 10 adults (all of us between 45-75 plus yrs old) went to have a beer at Unified. As the establishment was full, we grabbed some to go beer as we were instructed to, and walked back over to the other business. We proceeded to have a couple beers in the parking lot and quietly enjoy a warm October day when a blond woman with tattoos and zero customer service skills, or kindness at all, came over and with the most demeaning, rude attitude told us we all had to leave, and we had to pour out our beer, which we just bought! She came back over a few minutes later and continued her unhinged way of talking to customers, speaking in a way a mother would who is scolding her children, saying that it was "obvious we weren't taking her seriously" and we all had to leave or she will call the cops. And she did! And guess what? They came, were very respectful, and told us we were not doing anything wrong, then they went and talked with the very rude Unified employee, and then they left! That's all! I reached out to the business and one of the owners responded that they do not have the authority to tell anyone further than 100 feet away to leave, nor do they own the parking lot or surrounding businesses. I should add the business that we were at for the birthday party told us they couldn't believe Unified called the police, and they didn't mind at all if we had a few beers in front of their establishment, which is where we were! Everyone in our group was completely shocked at the way this person was speaking down to us, not even trying to be respectful or kind in any way right from the start. When we told her we wouldn't be giving the her business any more of our money ever, her response was "the little bit of beer you bought doesn't matter". Nice. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this brewery like the plague. There are plenty of other great ones in the area that don't treat their patrons like dirt. read more
