My first thought here was, "What, they stopped doing flights? No way, -1 Star immediately." But after a few minutes here, it became, "No way I could do that, the beer, the ambiance, it's just way too good to do that!" Wolf Hollow does it right. They have the beers (16 on tap tonight), the events, the food trucks, the atmosphere. Everything here is exactly what I look for in a brewery. My only disappointment is that they discontinued flights, but they're always willing to let you sample brews, and for me, that's a great alternative and a great opportunity to try their brews. My husband and I have been going to Wolf Hollow since the beginning, when they started in a Grange Hall. It's amazing the expansion they have made. Wolf Hollow has always had solidly good beers. I have probably tried every single one they've made. My favorite mainstay they have is Nun the Wiser. It's just a solid light lager. My favorite beer is their El Lobo Loco (which is a summer beer). My husband favorite seasonal is their Oktoberfest. This trip we had the Blackberry Pie and my husband got the Katie's Irish red. The blackberry pie is a mild sour. They do have a few non-beer items including some ciders and some local wines. They also have some non-alcoholic beers available to purchase. Wolf Hollow has a wonderful atmosphere. They are family and dog friendly (outside only for dogs). They have a nice cozy tap room. Outside they have a pavilion, picnic areas, and a great patio. There are also sandboxes for kids. During the winter you can sit next to a fire pit and even snowshoe on the property. For food they do rotating food trucks. Some of their regular food trucks include Two for the Road and Burger 21. With lots of seating indoors and outs, this spot is one to check out any time of year, but if you ask my friend group, Wolf Hollow is one of the very best places for warm weather beer drinking in the area. With tables on the patio and under a large covered pavilion and lots of fire-pit and yard seating, you'll find space to spread out or huddle up with your group. Dogs are also welcome onsite! The staff at Wolf Hollow is friendly and knowledgeable, known to recommend a taste for anyone unsure of their next order. I also love that Wolf Hollow is part of the Safer Bars program, assuring that their entire staff is trained to "recognize unwanted sexual attention or outright sexual aggression among customers, and offers strategies to intervene, divert and defuse situation." I often bring out of town visitors to Wolf Hollow to enjoy a pint with either a bit of exploration on the grounds (which includes walking paths and nature watching around the pond) or games - either the yard games set-up outdoors or board games offered indoors. Wolf Hollow currently offers beer, cider, wine, and soda, along with snacks and merch available for purchase. Of course, To Go beer purchases are also welcome. Awesome brewery in the Albany area with TONS of outdoor space and activities! We loved their beer selection and the food trucks they have on site. I tried "mulba sauce" for the first time with my mozz sticks, which if you're from the area, you know what this is - essentially it's a berry dipping sauce that's typically paried with mozzarella sticks. Got to check out Wolf Hollow Brewing on one of those randomly warm February days. Tried a few beers from pilsners, sours, ipas, and a golden ale. The brewery does not do flights but they do give half pours and/or will provide small samples before you select your beer. The beer was pretty good, but I wish there was a wider selection. There was live music when we went and it was very pleasant- a perfect way to spend your Saturday. -Plenty of parking and indoor/outdoor seating. Perfect Sunday drive to this little out of the way but close enough craft brewery. Right on the outskirts of Schenectady, easy to get to right off I90, they have a huge outside set up to social distance and enjoy your cold ones and food. They don't serve food but had a food truck on site (maybe they do serve food but today there was a food truck). We opted for indoor seating given everyone was outside, and the place is super charming. I ordered a flight of several different brews to go with my burger and fries. Lots of space to feel safe and enjoy the feel of wilderness right there off the highway. Friendly folks to serve your selections. Be sure to make this a place to stop. Support your local breweries! Came here as part of the Schenectady Ale Trail, where you get a flight at five different breweries for $40. Good selection of beers, though pretty small pours. This place is truly putting out some good beers. I came to grab a flight on a Friday after work. The place was busy but not very packed. There was a lot of men here, just something I noticed. I was the only female there for the duration of my visit - just slightly odd. The place was cute, inviting, and I would have stayed for more beers if I wasn't 30 mins from home. The building is a large metal building (no cell service inside, wifi info was on the menu) with wooden tables and stools, and you have a good view to the brew tanks. There is a very nice outdoor patio as well, it was a very hot day and all the shady spots were taken so I sat inside. Each beer I sampled was great. I had the bartender just give me a hoppy sampler. I loved them all and I want to go back and have another flight of everything else. They also sell cans, so I grabbed a 4 pack on my way out, the District 12, it was great! They do not have food, but this day they had a food truck outside available to customers. I skipped it, but I was kinda bummed the BBQ was not open on this day. I will be back soon as it is halfway between work and home. It is a great little local brewery and it is definitely worth your visit. I hope the BBQ is available next time! read more

Not my favorite. The beers in my opinion aren't great and they are a bit overpriced. They don't have table service and you can't run a tab and pay at the end. Wolf Hollow is only 10-15 minutes from Schenectady, but it has taken me an embarrassingly long time to finally visit this brewery. We came on a Sunday evening after a show at Proctors (for the CCBT passport stamp) and I have to say, I've been really missing out. There is plenty of seating inside and plenty of wonderful beer on tap. Samples are $2 (flight of 5 for $10) and I tried the Wolf Hollow Amber, Fall Tree Oktoberfest, Pulpit Supply Brown Ale, Year One Black Lager Schwarzbier, and Campout Stout. It's fall, so generally flights are making me a lot happier right now, but I genuinely enjoyed every single thing I tried and would have happily ordered a pint of any of these (which is most often not the case). There's plenty of parking and lots of seating inside; service is fast and friendly. There's a sign on the door asking you to NOT bring in outside food or drink; there wasn't any BBQ the other reviews mention, but there was a food truck there that day. I'm glad I finally made the trip out to Wolf Hollow and will absolutely be back. read more

This is such a charming little brewery. It's unfortunate that we've only visited a few times with it being so close to our home. We will have to visit more regularly in the New Year. My husband and I shared a flight, which will cost you 12 bucks. My favorite from the flight was the New England IPA, while my hubby liked the Cold Weather Lager and District 6. We each had a pint (8 bucks) with our lunch from the Two For the Road food truck. We ordered a Cuban panini, and chicken tender basket for our kiddos. Our kids enjoyed playing the board games that were available, and the Shirley Temples. The service was very quick, which was great because the brewery was starting to get busy. On the board, it lists the schedule of rotating food trucks, and special events which include paint nights, bands, trivia, and more. The outdoor patio is really nice, and includes heat lamps. This place is not near anything and is on a dangerous road in a sketchy part of the Capital Region. You can't get here without a car or a bike. Let's get back to the beer - little craft beer places are popping up everywhere. We sampled 10 different 4 oz pours of most of their beers available, and each one was delicious. So my wife and I looked for a brewery while visiting our son playing for the Mohawks. I like to triage our options by distance and Yelp rating. This place was very well reviewed and close. Jackpot. We had a flight each and the beer was very good. We selected a favorite from the flight and enjoyed a couple small pours of each. We saw nachos coming out of the kitchen that looked good, so I checked the menu. The pretzel bites seemed right up our alley so ordered them. The chef hit these hard with cheese, honey mustard, bacon and green onion. Let me tell you, we are closer to 50 than 40 and these bites may have been the best app I've had in any bar in my life. This is a welcome addition to the craft breweries that seem to be everywhere nowadays (and I am certainly not complaining about the ubiquity of the establishments!). The tasting room is modern rustic and I am sure you could picture it in your head already. That's okay! That look is very pleasing and well-suited for the environment. There's a mix of high/low tables, which I enjoy. The beer itself was good and prices were reasonable. I went with my baby, husband, and friends (with their baby) and had a really nice hour. I want to start out by saying I am not a beer drinker. We knew this place was here but never stopped in. We had friends in from out of town and they wanted to give it a try. It was pouring rain that night and the driveway is a little muddy when it is wet. They had a food tent right out side the entrance door. She had 4 different kinds to choose from and we ordered 2 of each, just for the 2 of us. We had never been here before as I said. We walked in and it is a large open room with long tables. Some high stools and some chairs, and no air conditioning. There was going to be 8 of us. Luckily there was a large table right by the door. We walked up to the bar area. The girl that was working at the bar was very pleasant and helpful. Explained the selections and how it was done. They had hard cider too. I choose the peach cider. It was ok. Not my favorite drink. Everyone else liked the beer. I do need to say all of the gentlemen working here were not nice. Almost annoyed to be there and god forbid if you had a question or needed napkins because you spilled something. This was my perception anyway. We would not go back here just the 2 of us. Great upstate brewery bar with excellent live entertainment. Place also looked as if it had decent bar food too but we had already eaten so didn't try any. I only had one issue and that is that there were no wine options for those of us who do not drink beer. This bar/brewery is located in a not so populated area of Upstate NY close to Amsterdam, NY and it'd be cool If there were just a few non-beer options since nothing else is around it. Always manage to make this a stop when brewery hopping the area. The outside area has a good amount of shade to enjoy the day, very cool decor including the Jack Daniels barrel tables.
