Come for the sunflowers, stay for the beer and the atmosphere! My friends and I spent a lovely afternoon at Dancing Grain this past Saturday. Luckily, although their sunflower festival had ended the week before, we were still lucky enough to take in some beautiful flowers! The staff was friendly, attentive and accommodating from the moment we entered. There were food trucks on site to satisfy our hunger. Overall, a wonderful time and will definitely return!

I've heard mixed things about Dancing Grain since they opened and have been hesitant to go, but they recently had a food truck (cousins maine lobster) that we wanted to hit...so we hit it. It was a cool, blustery Sunday and the Bills game was on. Lots of Bills fans were there to enjoy food and bevs. I tried the stout and really liked it-heavy notes of coffee and overall delicious flavors. The N/A option was good-a light, refreshing option for a designated driver or someone that doesn't do alcohol. The young man behind the counter was pleasant and friendly. The property is in a really scenic spot and has great views outside. I've seen pics from when the sunflowers are in bloom, but it's still nice off season. Outdoor patio heaters probably would have kept us there longer as the few tables available inside were full. I did notice fire pits but no fires going-so we only had one drink each. I'll visit again in the future, I'm sure.

My first time trying Dancing Grain brews was at the last Yelp Event and I loved their Mexican Lager. I decided to stop by today for their Pups & Pints Event and I highly recommend coming to their beautiful space!! The IPAs are amazing and pretty much everything else. Thank you for sharing your amazing space with us all to enjoy. There were monarch butterflies all over the place and it was really a great way to end a rainy weekend.

Vibe is perf for a chill, laid back night to enjoy a few brews and friendly conversation. They don't have food at the brewery, but they did have Ted's Fish Fry food truck on the premises so you can get some food to enjoy with your brews. Service was also awesome!

Back again for more! This time the Hay Day American Lager is quite good. Best view in the Glens Falls/Saratoga area. Not pleased with the planned cost to take pictures with the sunflowers again this fall but it must be working for them. Lastly, nothing evokes more negative energy than loud country music. Jesus.. you might as well be playing Dubstep. I get it, your farmers... but you don't walk around the place in your manure covered mud boots. Why on earth would you play this God awful music and play it so freaking loud? Switch it up a bit: Classic Rock, Alternative, Pop, Bluegrass, Dubstep (kidding), anything... You know I'm right.... Seriously, I would have stayed for another beer?

Great views in Summer and fall. Dancing Grain is a family owned farm brewery doing as much as they can with their own and other local materials. Beers are decent, but leave room for improvement. It's a great place to catch a sunset.

Tasty, creative and interesting beers. Nice person working. Beautiful, quiet seating overlooking the Adirondacks and colorful fields. Enjoyed my visit very much.

What a glorious spot the owners have built this new brewery on--and their fledgling beers are promising enough to make you believe they'll mature enough to the point they can compete with the stunning views you'll enjoy while drinking them. Perched on a hill overlooking a gigantic sunflower field, with ample outdoor seating as well as a spacious, partially covered bar area, it is simply hard to imagine a more bucolic setting to kick back with friends over some thoughtful, carefully crafted beers. Got the opportunity to speak with the proprietor, Rachel, and she is clearly passionate about the business and space and land--largely family farmland--and plans for rotating drafts that will change frequently and feature ingredients harvested directly from the gorgeous farmland and area you are overlooking. I was able to try a Stolen Fire stout on her recommendation--a subtle, inventive pint with hints of fennel from the farm. Also enjoyed a Cream of the Crop cream ale and took a four pack to go of the Strictly Social IPA, a collaboration with nearby Common Roots that was truly excellent. The beer is incredibly promising--not amazing yet but very i can't wait to see what else they come up with. And return to this fantastic venue to try out those rotating beers. Sounded as if they are planning to stay open all year as weather allows--a number of small fire pits look available for some of the outdoor seating.

This is a great hidden gem, off the beaten path, on the outskirts of town. It almost has the feel of a winery, with the view of the farm from the outdoor porch of the taproom. We tried three of their craft beers and they were all very good. They also had a food truck on sight for a snack if you like. We loved the atmosphere of this farm brewery, the friendly families and pups, enjoying a beautiful afternoon and a beautiful view.

Cream of the Crop, a crushable classic. Stop buying cheap sodium filled large brands and come support a local business!

We ate the whole bag in the parking lot. I had to go back and get more to bring home. We went there for apple picking and I have to say their per person bag requirement kind of caught me off guard. I've been to other places where you can buy a bag or as many bags as you want to go pick apples but this one requires every single person to purchase a bag. A peck of apples is $14. So you can imagine if you have a bunch of kids over their age requirement and have to buy a bag for each kid, it's very expensive and you get more apples than you could possibly eat. We go for the experience and usually fill a bushel bag or two. I did not like that. It was the reason why we did not go to Bowman's. They got us anyway. The store was filled with fresh vegetables and apples and all kinds of things you could purchase. Breads, maple syrup, soup mixes. I would come here just to shop! There was a live music, which really set the tone for a beautiful fall day. We bought some cute bucket hats from a vendor out front. The staff was super friendly too!

Incredibly fun spot that is also surprisingly diverse--particularly during Apple season, of course…read more But even off-season, you can shop year round at their farm market and/or enjoy their very cool taproom (cider-forward, natch, but some solid local beers as well). The farm market is amazing, with excellent produce and local products you'd expect at a market such as jellies, and of course some excellent cider donuts. They work hard to make visiting here a destination, particularly on weekends, with live music for adults and other events, and of course apple picking, mazes and other fun kid-friendly activities. The apple picking itself is a bit hit-and-miss--a lot of spots can be sparse--perhaps a victim of their own success. Not always the best yield here, but then you mostly go for the experience, right?

Love it here. Free…read morecompletely free - no admission fee, no parking fee. Very friendly people. Small business vibes. Follow your maps and once you cross the bridge they have tons of signs to direct you, hard to get lost. Trust they're hours, we showed up in the pouring rain and they're still open 9am-5pm weekdays. As soon as you walk in you'll get free samples. We sampled 5 cheeses and 2 grades of maple syrup - it sells itself. One cheese is made with unpasteurized milk - others include sharp cheddar, sage, smoked. Convinced me to try traveling home with cheese for the first time. Tons of products available for sell including from other farms as well. I recommend picking up some of the Red Kite Candy caramels they have there. If you liked it as much as me their factory is about a 30 min drive away. Other activities include petting animals (not in winter), walking trail, and self guided tour of their maple house. Wasn't able to do the trail in the rain but I would estimate you can do all of this in 2 hours. Not at all like Billings Farm if you're concerned about going to both or only have time for one. Billings has an admission fee, no samples of milk or cheese though the make both. More of a museum but they do have up close interactions with their cows (even in winter) for the kids, butter churning, candle dipping. Recommend Billing for taking kids on homesteading field trip, Sugarbush a quick stop for foodie/charcuterie person IMPORTANT: They do NOT sell sugarbush products at any of the stores in Woodstock so don't plan to buy more later and have regrets like us - we looked in every store and couldn't find it. Not sure about Quechee though. Products can also be ordered online and shipped

Weather got a little hariy getting there with the slushy roads, but we made it! It's pretty remote location with no street lights, so if driving in the dark look for the signs to get there and trust your GPS. There's a large parking lot across from the entrance to the little store/shop. The shop is actually the owners old family home I belive. We arrived pretty much at closing time, but we were still welcomed warmly. We got a cheese & maple syrup tasting which was yum and informative, and the staff member that did it was really nice, I forgot her name, but see photo below. One of the cheeses has won a cheese competition, very cool. We also got to meet the owner, but she was busy getting Christmas orders together. I perused all of the cheeses I wanted and settled on 4. We got to try 2 out of the 4 from the cheese sampling. The nice lady that checked me out even gave me some nice to-go samples as well. The smoked cheese was my fav, and the sage. But I enjoyed them all. I was able to easily fly home to TX with them due to the cold weather of the season. After the tasting, we got to peruse the store. They have so much other stuff to buy in additon to cheese and maple, tons of knick-knacks and gifts and merch. We didn't get to explore the farm after since it was pitch black when we left, too bad. Enjoy!
