So let's start by saying the majority of the 3 stars is because for me this dish was mostly inedible for me. I ordered the Korean Bbq Pork bowl. This traditionally comes with purple rice, napa cabbage, kimchi, cucumbers, spicy broccoli, carrots, spicy sprouts, fried egg, slow-roasted pork and Korean BBQ sauce. I struggle when a dish has too many spicy ingredients and specially kimchi is just too much for me to be able to handle. I requested the kimchi on the side so I could try the dish as it was meant to be tasted but without the commitment of having all that spice in my bowl. They did provide kimchi on the side but what I did not realize was that there was kimchi covering the rice under the other layers. The heat was just too much for me and I was unable to eat the majority of the dish. That being said, what I could eat was delicious. Grains cooked to perfection and tossed in the bbq sauce. Broccoli that was crunchy and had the slightest kick. And tender and juicy pulled pork. If you like the heat, this is a good one. And if you are like me and a bit more sensitive, keep a close eye on the dish as they make it. The place is your run of the mill chain restaurant, nothing fancy and very casual. Service is at the counter much like a chipotle or subway. The restaurant was generally clean with a few dirty tables. The highlight for me was the lemonade/drink bar. Fresh juices and lemonades with unexpected ingredients like cardamom and red beets. I will definitely be going back and giving this place a second chance in the future. read more

Ordered on the app so I could get points and everything was ready when I got there. My Greek Taco was FIRE!! DELICIOUS!! I coulda eaten 20 of those (I'm exaggerating but you get the point!)! My Southwestern Chicken Salad was good but I think I counted 10 (if that!) tiny pieces of chicken for the whole bowl. So chintzy with the protein! Everything, however, was super fresh and the purple rice was seasoned so perfectly! Staff was disappointing. Not even a hello. The worst thing about going to this CoreLife is getting into the plaza where it is, with all the left turns off main roads, lengthy red lights, etc.. The inside is pretty standard. There was a smaller crew there, but they worked efficiently, and our orders were prepared quickly. I particularly liked the new chicken and broccoli on quinoa bowl. I'm also glad they started listing some of the nutritional information on the labels of some of the fountain drinks. I had no idea just how much sugar was in some of them!!! Fountain drink cups were smaller too, not that it matters since refills are free. When this first opened, I was probably their most frequent customer. I loved the healthy options. But the rude and incompetent workers ruined it. Decided to give it a try again. It's interesting to me that nothing has changed. They either pay people super low and therefore get really poor quality workers, or they don't train them or treat them poorly because they are all absolutely miserable. It's bizarre. I feel like I walked into the Gulag. Like they don't even greet you. And if they do, it's done without a smile and they look miserable like they were just tortured in the back room. And there's no guidance on kind of how to order. I ordered the tuna poke bowl twice in the past couple of days. It was something I had never ordered before. The first time, it was basically 90% rice and just a few of the other toppings. Almost no protein whatsoever. So I'm basically paying $15 for a bowl of rice. Their profit margin must be absolutely astronomical because they are so overcharging you for a bowl predominately made up of the cheapest ingredients. Today, we were craving it again so we went back. My daughter ordered a large. We both wanted extra protein so we added that. It was seven dollars to add extra protein to mine. And mind you, "Extra" was still hardly any. And when I questioned it at the register, they said that the normal serving size is seven pieces. The little scoop that they use is probably an eighth of a cup if that. So 7 2-inch squares of tuna is your protein portion. And they literally counted them because when I asked if I actually did get extra, they counted the pieces. Now come on. My total bill came up to $40 for two salads. Like I said, my daughter ordered the large but seriously? $40? We got a drink and it was $3.50 for a very small cup. It's really really sad because I really believe in this place and I like what they offer and it is tasty but they really are price gouging. I'm actually quite surprised it's still in business. Who is going here? People who have money to throw away? I like high-end things and I'm willing to pay a little bit for quality so that's why we returned. But I really doubt that I can support this place on a regular basis if really all they're doing is providing me a bowl of rice but charging me a price as if I actually got some protein. Today, I asked the girl if I could get less rice. So then she walked over and filled the entire bowl with cabbage. And I said oh I don't remember it having that much cabbage. The girl said well you said you didn't want as much rice. I said yeah but I didn't want an entire bowl of cabbage. She angrily threw the cabbage back into the container. Like I just don't understand why these workers are so miserable and the portions of protein are so minuscule. They need to do better. Reminds me a of a healthy chipotle - this is slightly pricier and less filling though. Poke seemed pretty dry and not a ton of protein pieces. I ordered the larger size and finished it with some room to spare. Presentation of food was good but the taste was mediocre. This is a healthier option so it may not have the same heaviness/carbs at other places. The juices are definitely their strongpoint. It's unique and some are very tasty (some not so much) but I think it's very person dependent on the ingredients used. Little things that were missed was the utensils not being restocked so they only had knives for people to eat and didn't realize till I notified them. Also, one of the juice dispensers was jammed so I was unable to try. Overall a mediocre place - higher prices for eh food but it is healthier. I may come back to try as I only had one item and the menu is pretty extensive. Would recommend their juice as its unique and you're bound to find a tasty one. Like every other time another great experience! This place is 100% gf minus the wraps. I got a salad bowl - I think southwest or spicy chicken. It was yummy and delicious. I got a side of gf Mac and cheese which was better then good! The two people who were working were helpful and patient! The lobby was clean. There was only one trash can which at first was hard to find. Maybe they could add another one in a more efficient place! I had a horrible experience. The first girl to take my order (who seemed to have a bit of an attitude) walked away to the register without saying anything so I gave my order to another girl. The first bowl was exactly as written on the board, and came out fine. But my bowl was screwed up 3x. It was not difficult; I just needed 2 ingredients removed. I let the pregnant woman behind me at the register go before me while the guy cooking meat reviewed my order. It turns out that they also screwed up her order. The original girl that I'd placed my order was working the register when the guy at the meat grill was trying to figure out what was happening. The person I was with was more than halfway finished with their bowl (I'd told them to go ahead while waiting for the first rendition of my order was being made) so I had to cancel my order. I had stood there for at least 10 minutes to have a simple bowl made to wind up with nothing but an attitude because I wanted to buy 2 drinks when I finally checked out. And no one even bothered to apologize. I wrote to customer service for their 'how are we doing' query - and never received a response. It sucks since this is the only place where I thought I could easily order with my dietary restrictions. I only needed 2 items omitted. SO frustrating. Since this review is also asking for ambiance... the dining area is good, seats are comfortable, spread out enough - but some tables weren't wiped down, there was soda spilled all over at the machine and there were no forks (another thing attitude girl was crabby about when I asked for one). read more

I got the tuna poke bowl. The tuna was extremely flavorful and fresh and was topped with half an avocado (they did not skimp). All fast food should be more like this-- fresh, customizable, light enough that you could get on a bike and cycle home after eating here. I like that you can decide between a giant salad, a grain bowl, or effectively a soup, and that it can be vegetarian or pescatarian easily. That being said, the portion sizes could be bigger for the price. I got the tuna poke bowl and very carefully rationed my 9 bites of tuna because it was a very little scoop. And if you mix your own bowl, no proteins at all are included; they are all an extra charge. I also felt like the flavors could be bolder-- I was surprised how bland the (miso-sesame) dressing was given the mix of ingredients, and my husband said the root vegetable medley was really mediocre. Overall, this is a solid choice for some healthier choice food and beats Panera or other similar establishments, despite a small chicken portion. They have a unique menu with salads, grain bowls, and broth bowls. I got a Spicy Thai Chicken bowl. After they made my bowl with the grain and veggies and I paid, they then added the chicken they had reheated on the grill and asked if I wanted broth to which I accepted. The paper menu that was on a table in the entryway did not have menu prices, which would have been nice. It did have a description of what was in the bowls however, which the menu board only displayed the name and price for many items. The flavors were great, and I did enjoy the broth that was added to the rice. I did not receive a lot of chicken however, the portion was really small for something called a chicken bowl. There was 2 falafel balls as protein but if you are going to call something a chicken bowl, I would think that would be the star of the dish. The fountain drinks were also good, but the price for the drink is expensive They had several varieties of lemonade, tea, and apple-cider enhanced drinks. They also did not appear to be any fountain sodas available, however I did notice they sold bottled drinks so maybe soda was sold in this format. I couldn't find a lid for my cup by the silverware station or the drinks, so I'm not sure if this is because of Covid-19 changes or not but I did not want to wait to ask an employee for a lid. It was my first time there, asI tried this spot on a quest to get a healthy lunch on a road trip down 476. I wanted so bad for this place to be my go to place for healthy choices but this place under delivers and is so over priced. My last time going the other day, I noticed the ladies restroom was filthy, the floor and walls has stain all over. Looks like it has not been cleaned in ages. The entire dining area floor was filthy as well. What in the world! Heathy food places usually equals cleanliness of the entire place, this place lacks all that. Everytime I come here, it seems like the staff doesn't know much about their menu and the ordering process is not organized. And on top of that, there's never any welcoming friendly smile to the establishment. I had the steak fajitas w/ tortilla last year and it was good, this time, the steak was so chewy and hard, the item also lacked flavor. My 6 yr old child couldn't eat the steak and I was afraid he might choke, so I had to remove it. Someone review that they changed their menu and it seems to be the case. The portions seems to be smaller as well. Core Life offered 50% off purchase about month ago so I decided to give them another try and I'm so glad I did because this restaurant allows me to eat the way I'm trying to eat. Their vegs are organic, chicken is free of hormones, antibiotics, steroids and they flame grill them. Issues I had in the past with them are irrelevant now. Tastewise maybe not as good as I wish it was, but for now I'm happy to have a place I can go for healthy meal. They also have sugar-free green tea and coffee at fountain. Really fresh ingredients and vegetarian/vegan friendly. A lot of staff behind the counter but only a few working- it's an assembly line of work and I noticed when ingredients are out instead of immediately replacing them they'll tell you to pick another topping to compensate... Their entire menu is basically gluten free and many items are vegan as well. The set up is fast casual like chipotle. You can pick a pre-created bowl or make your own. On our visit my mom and I shared the greens and grains bowl which was kale, corn, cheese, chickpeas and balsamic dressing and the tortilla chicken bowl which was bone broth, chicken, veggies and some heat. Both were delicious. I had never had bone broth before but I'm told it is really healthy for you and it was quite tasty. I was also impressed with the unique drink options here. I'm I tried the spicy Thai chicken rice bowl and previously I'd tried one of the broth bowls. Same complaint for each. Their portion size is 2 oz. or protein and you're upcharged $3 for another 2 oz. Lastly, I feel some of the workers assume you know your options and aren't that helpful/don't add much value when asked questions.
