    Crab roll

Mount Desert Island is full of seafood places which do a mediocre job at high prices with a trying-too-hard atmosphere. In the very best way, Corea Wharf Gallery's restaurant is the opposite of that. The prices are very reasonable, the seafood is as fresh as it can be (you can see the boats it came in on!) and the atmosphere is unbeatable for a casual spot. Our family ordered almost everything on the menu, it seemed, and we loved everything. This included: the crab roll, the lobster roll, crab legs, the chowder, the BLT, raw oysters and amazing blueberry pie. We had blueberry pie on many occasions throughout our one week stay on MDI, and no place matched this pie. It had the perfect balance of not too sweet but just sweet enough and high quality crust. We initially got one piece to share among the family, and ended up going back for a second slice during the same seating because all of us wanted more. Now if that's not a testament to how good it was, nothing is. I'll be dreaming about our amazing lunch on their dock for years to come...

Beautiful setting & delicious lobster. My grandson had the Philly steak sandwich & said it was the best he's ever had. A hidden gem.

    Fresh lobster.

The food was delicious. We had the whole lobster dinner, lobster tacos, and the burger. My father in law who doesn't eat seafood, voted it the best burger he had on our whole trip. The service was fast and friendly. And we had a great day to sit outside on the wharf, but they do have covered dinning available as well.

Eat lobster where the boats come in. The lobster roll had more than one lobsters meat. It was stuffed. The lobster was in loose this morning. Cooked in the natural salt water. The lobster grilled cheese was unbelievable. No alcohol so bring your own. Dog friendly so Katie got to clean up Hard to find but well worth the effort.

Our Air BnB owner sent us here. It was lovely. One of our favorite meals in the area. We got to meet and talk to the owner. He has recently expanded his dock. We had the crab, lobster rolls and a lobster. The cole slaw wasn't my favorite but my father and husband liked it. They also have ice cream and my father enjoyed the blueberry. Plenty of shade is available. We would love to come back here if in the area. They also have rope mats for sale at a reasonable cost. Bathrooms are clean port a potties.

Small menu, fabulous sandwiches and lobster rolls. Everything is about the view, the sounds, and the smells.

Love the location and outdoor seating. Beautiful view of the protected harbor with lots of boats. They have umbrellas on some tables and others have the white tarp like covering to protect you from wind and rain. It's all about paper napkins, plastic-ware, and ketchup/mayo in the little squirty packages. Staff was very friendly. We shared the Lobster Roll and Haddock Chowder ($32 total with tax and tip). The Lobster Roll was typical of what we've had at other restaurants. It was made with a decent amount of fresh, sweet lobster on a toasted bun. It came with one side and we opted for potato chips (Miss Vickies) which were fine. The Haddock Chowder was disappointing. It is a broth type chowder not thick which is ok. The downside was the contents. It was 90% large chunks of potatoes with a couple of small pieces of haddock floating around. We had to fish (pun intended) around to find any. Maybe we just got a bad ladle full but it was like potato soup with a whiff of haddock. They don't serve alcohol but we were told (by the place we stayed) that you can bring your own. We'd come back but would steer clear of the chowder.

While driving around aimlessly in the Acadia area we happened upon this tiny restaurant on the wharf. When we pulled in we were warmly greeted by the staff and owner. We bought a lobster roll, lobster grilled cheese, and a side of potato salad. The lobster roll was the best we had in the area and the grilled cheese sandwich was incredible. The potato salad was also delicious but we were a bit dissapointed that we paid almost $3 for a tiny serving. In the end we enjoyed not only the food but the ambience and art gallery. We just wish we had service to check-in so that we could have used our Yelp coupon. That being said, the next time we visit the area we will be making a stop at this amazing little restaurant.

We were driving through the area while on vacation and saw a sign stating that there was a special -- "food at the wharf today", so we decided to investigate. This is an extremely small town so we didn't have to go far to find a charming little restaurant right on the water. We picked a nice spot up front on the deck so we could watch the boats in the harbor and placed our order. We had our fill of lobster rolls lately so we decided to try something new. We had a lobster grilled cheese. A bag of chips and a cold drink and we were very happy we tried something different. Wish we could go back.

The Hot Dog Cart - Lobster roll that I took across the street and ate on a bench facing the water!

You are handed a slip to fill out to order, so we checked off the Fresh Lobster Roll with Lemon Mayo; 2 Quarter Pound All Beef Hotdogs, one with Hawaiian relish and sauerkraut, and the other with chili and cheddar cheese; and a Fried Haddock Sandwich. All the lobster rolls contain quarter pound lobster for $21.99. The lobster I've tried in Acadia have all been good. I preferred the beef hotdog with Hawaiian relish and sauerkraut, over the chilli with cheese. The cheese was not melted over the chili. Fried haddock was okay.

The same man Don, who is mentioned in reviews from two years ago is still there taking your order and wearing his lobster hat. You order at a walk up counter outside and take a seat also outside until they call your name. They are set up on the corner in front of what used to be another restaurant that is actually closed. I went inside to use the restroom and wash my hands, but the inside is all shut down and pretty smelly. There are a lot of tables undercover and also in the sun where you can sit and enjoy your lobster roll or hotdog. They also have blueberry pie and blueberry bread pudding, which I did not try but looked delicious. My friend got a fresh squeeze lemonade that she enjoyed, I had the fresh brew iced tea, which probably needed a Splenda, but I don't think they had any. If you like unsweetened tea, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Overall everyone who worked there was very friendly, especially Don who takes your orders.

We enjoyed the rolls at a shaded table outside, and the food came out quickly. The Zach Shack was definitely an unexpected surprise on my trip to Maine…read more For a trailer roadside shack, they sure know how to do several things very well. I definitely dug my fish tacos and fried zucchini fries. The fish tacos was definitely not thin piece of fish, but a nice thicker cut, and plated nicely with fresh salsa on top. The fried zucchini fries were also similarly thicker cut which I honestly didn't think would work. I would have thought that with a thicker cut, the zucchini would have required a longer cook time in the oil that would have made the exterior just a tad overdone. To my surprise, both the fish and zucchini were not overdone, and instead just perfect. A nice sprinkle of parmesan cheese added a needed salty profile to the zucchini. As a true roadside shack, there is seating outdoors on old school long wooden picnic tables. I visited after peak lunch time so there was plenty of seating which made my experience pleasant. I sure hope these guys stick around for my next trip up to Maine.
