Carissa's step-mom had heard Capt Sadie speak at a local graduation and had been chomping at the bit to try out her restaurant. The Good: *Great location in Downtown Belfast *Fast-casual order at the counter *Beer and wine *Loved the idea of the Lobster Flight, featuring Connecticut-style (butter only), Maine-style (mayo), and their special roll with the spicy Sadie sauce. I preferred their CT, while Carissa (shockingly) preferred the Maine. The Sadie sauce was a nice change up, but it was definitely "Maine spicy," If you catch my drift. *Pet-friendly outdoor seating The Meh: *Pretty limited menu in that if you don't like either Crab or Lobstah, then you best need not apply. Visited a friend in the Midcoast for Thanksgiving. First Thanksgiving in 16 years I haven't worked, so it was a special few days anyway. Close to the harbor, Must be Nice is a spacious spot with good windows looking out to the water. We came here for the lobster grilled cheese, and other options as I needed my lobster fix, and my friend is a no lobster person. The fries though... The lovely server with a huge, sunny personality told us with a wink, the fries are amazing. She wasn't kidding. I think they were better than my lobster GC which was really quite good. I'm giving this place a low rating because it took ten minutes just to get a menu after I seated myself. Then the server said there would be a 40 minute wait to get food if I ordered so I left. The outdoor patio seemed nice and allowed dogs. The prices were average but since I didn't taste anything I can't comment on the food. read more

We were in Belfast last weekend and wanted lobster rolls for lunch. We found this spot on Yelp, and honestly I would not come back. We had lobster rolls in several other places across the state and these had the least flavor and the buns were not warm and not that fresh. I split with my wife and daughter the sampler which was three different kinds and did not love any of the three. They were out of quite a few things on the menu that our friends tried to order (beyond lobster rolls). Our friend said his fish chowder he did get lacked flavor. And even though it was not super crowded, the food came in waves over 10 minutes. Also, I did not love the decor. It felt like you were eating in a basement room with lots of knick knacks for sale. The crab cakes showcased the protein well, though I feel it could be a touch more seasoned. Eating fresh lobster by the water off the coast of Maine is my happy place. The Must Be Nice Lobster truck was a treat to come across when we were walking around Belfast. The service was friendly and masked, and they took credit cards. We ordered a lobster roll and a crab roll. Each was incredible. SO fresh, not overly dressed, and the tender meat (is that weird to say) really shined in each. They were each served on a classic split-top hot dog bun. There were a few picnic tables right by the water and a fire pit, which was perfect. The only downside was it was $25 (+tax +tip) for the lobster roll, and I ate it in ~4 bites. It also took 30min for our order at 1:30pm on a Thursday. But it was worth the wait! read more

Must Be Nice Lobster is a food truck right by the water in Belfast so you get a beautiful view of the water as your eating your fresh lobster. My usual at Must Be Nice Lobster is their gluten-free, dairy-free lobster wrap with a coke. The employees there are really nice, the french fries are delicious and they offer seating right near the truck so that you can relax and enjoy the full experience. Must Be Nice Lobster is very nice and I've eaten there plenty of times but not enough. The french fries are cooked to perfection and the lobster is so well made. read more

Writing this review while eating some leftovers I heated up after not being satisfied by what I ordered from lunch at Must be Nice Lobster. My brother in law recommended against getting the lobster roll here when he was in town last month, but I had a hankering for some lobster and after reading two recommendations for that sandwich here on yelp I decided to try their lobster grilled cheese which was $18 or so and menu said it had two ounces of lobster vs the four they say is in the lobster roll. It's been so long since I've ordered a grilled cheese at a restaurant that I forgot to ask if they had any cheese besides American. So of course I ended up with a sandwich that was heavy with American cheese, and very light on lobster bits. I realize this cost less than their lobster roll, but I've picked more lobster meat out of my teeth before vs what I found in this American-cheesy sandwich. I hate to write a bad review for anyone, and it's not their fault that I don't care for American cheese, but it also sure was a small amount of lobster for my $22 (including tip). Left 2 stars vs just one because the outdoor seating area they have is a plus and quite nice I must admit. Sorry Must Be Nice Lobster, but I won't be returning. read more
