It was clear he wasn't interested in simply selling us a unit--he wanted to design the right system. Eric recommended a variable-speed communicating system, and the results have been incredible. Our home is now cooler and more comfortable than it has ever been. The technology allows the system to run whisper quiet while continuously circulating air throughout the house, eliminating hot and cold spots and doing an outstanding job controlling humidity as well. The woman who answered the phone had all the passion and friendliness of a Kmart cashier. She obviously hated her job and it was evident in her voice. She was completely condescending when I asked her a number of questions. She kept insisting that I tell her whether I wanted "an estimate" or a "service call". When I asked what the difference was, she acted as if I must be an idiot for asking such a question. After asking her to explain several times, and her huffing and puffing, she managed to communicate that one involved a fee and another one didn't. I told her that I was ok to pay for the estimate since I was asking for a review of my electrical system. She then proceeded to ask me a series of other administrative questions and, again, when I asked for clarification, it was as if she huffed and puffed. I mean, as someone whose JOB it is to answer the phone, she sure was crap at it. She was seriously from the Kmart school of communication. Really, a Holiday card is a GREAT WAY to generate new business, guys, but if you have these types of people answering the phone and dealing with customers....all the cards in the world are never gonna help you grow your business.

The aggression and lack of respect for customers by the "owner" is ASTOUNDING, especially for a…read morefamily company that's existed for so long. Following my terrible experience and that of my neighbors, I doubt it will last much longer. Called for a leaking carbon monoxide (CO) issue with an existing steam boiler that was promptly addressed by the company. However, after their visit, the CO continued to be emitted from the boiler through CO detectors, prompting the fire department and PSE&G to intervene, who also detected high readings. Today, I called to inform them that CO detection was still ongoing. The owner, an angry, short-tempered know-it-all, cut me off and yelled, "NO, THERE IS NOT, THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS MY ENTIRE LIFE. WE FIXED THE PROBLEM. PAY THE INVOICE AND WE WON'T HAVE ANY ISSUES." I firmly told him that his attitude was unacceptable and that I would not pay until the issue was resolved. He laughed manically and said, "THANKS FOR SAYING THAT YOU WON'T PAY, BUDDY. THIS CALL IS RECORDED" before hanging up. I called back and calmly reiterated that I will not pay without resolution and that following his anger and yelling, I wasn't sure I trust them to touch the boiler again. The owner laughed again, said "GREAT, WE DON'T WANT YOUR BUSINESS", claimed that I didn't have to pay the invoice, and hung up again, likely because he realized he was in the wrong. It's unfortunate that the company's initial kindness turned sour when there was any potential for accountability or conflicts with their labor. I will recommend this company only to people I hate. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Andre measured our ducts himself, then installed a damper four inches too narrow for the main duct. Either he never checked, or he checked and installed it anyway. It took three months and his own technician to admit what was wrong. He ordered the correct part in May, told us it arrived in June, then never came back to install it. When I finally left a review, he answered within hours -- after weeks of ignoring my emails: "the review must be removed before we come back or Il just return it." Then, an hour later: "I don't even want to work for you at all... you can take a walk." Six months on, our zoning system still doesn't zone, we're paying to heat/cool two-thirds of a floor nobody is using, and the part we paid for is sitting in his shop.
