My wife and I were struggling to install a new porch sconce, and had just succeeded in shorting out most of the first floor. Not five seconds after I told my wife we might need to call an electrician, Benny pulls up in his truck and asks us if we need any help. He'd been working down the street and apparently has a 6th sense for people doing shoddy electrical work. Ten minutes later, thanks to Benny we had two working sconces that don't start smoking every time we turn them on. Benny was a Godsend, and I don't know what we would have done if he hadn't offered to help when he did. Seriously, he was under no obligation to stop and help us, and the fact that he did shows what a stand-up guy he is. Did I mention today's Labor Day? I'm sure Benny had better things to do but he saw some folks in need and took time out of his day to help out. Will definitely be using A&E for any electrical work we need done in the future. Since buying our house in Wayne in 2014, we've worked with A&E Electric on several projects. Needing a lot of work done, we were uncertain on who to go with but after reading tons of positive reviews we decided on A&E Electric. We're glad we did because Benny and his team have been nothing but professional, easy to work with, upfront and reasonable on costs. Some of the projects A&E has done over the last two years include: new main circuit panel, upgrade smoke/carbon integrated alarm system, relocate/put in new outlets, mounted TV with behind the wall wiring, install multiple fans, replace several lighting fixtures, replace attic fan, install several outdoor flood lights and setup multiple Nest cameras. Even though he was pulling into his driveway, he still decided to come by because he heard the panic in my voice. He was exceptionally professional, kind, and--most importantly--honest. It was a quick repair, but I never felt as if he was rushing. He took the time to explain his hypothesis and then do some additional investigative work on our electrical panel. These guys are amazing!!! The work they do is on point for a very affordable price. They did all of our lighting and wiring for our kitchen renovation and the finished product is fantastic. We had to have a new circuit box added due to the new wiring and they did it at a fraction of the cost anyone else would have. We're having them come back in the fall to update more light fixtures indoors and out. Benny is awesome to work with, very personable and friendly. I just moved into an older home and had some circuit problems so I wanted the wiring to be checked out and new switches added. They came recommended by a contractor friend and lived up to the recommendation. They were on time, professional, courteous and NEAT!!. Benny checked out everything, made some good recommendations and even talked me out of a few things I thought I wanted. I ended up having them install a couple of dimmer switches as well.
