Stopped on our way thru town. Found this on Yelp. Great service. I had the Fiesta Omelette, my wife the house scramble and my mother in law the strawberry French toast, all very yummy. Will come back whenever in town again. Only gripe was the gravy on the biscuit not in the same ball park as my son's restaurant in Long Beach, the Breakfast Bar. Cleanliness 5 stars Steak for breakfast: Very Good! Lean, tender, juicy, great flavor! 5 stars! Eggs, 4 stars because the presentation could be better. Country potatoes, I can't possibly give them a lower rating. Nasty. Old fry grease. Cooked to the crispness of a potato chip... cancer causing, nutritionless, unappetizing, tripe. Ruins the otherwise perfect steak. Shame it's on the same plate. The best example of country potatoes in Redding is at Lumberjack. But even they could do better. Anyway, Corbetts: Biscuit: meh. Mass produced. Bland. Teeny. Flavor is just not there. Again. Lumberjacks home made biscuit was authentic and tasty. Coffee, great. Lighting, very stylish. Silverware, screams cheap. Kind and attentive, smart, quick, staff: 4 stars. Because I'm a sucka for super cute waitresses, these gals were motherly. It's just a personal preference of mine. How to get 5 stars: Make off the hook potatoes for one! Start with extra large REAL spuds, boil em just long enough to cook em all the way through. Rinse. Chop em into 1" to 2" chunks. Season with FRESH (NOT DRIED!!!) Italian herbs, FRESH pepper, sea salt. Pan fry in REAL butter (not long, just enough to add a hint of color, think light caramel). Plate, serve. People will form a primitive society in front of your restaurant to wait for a spot to eat such fare. Of course it's far easier to rip open a large bag of frozen potatoes and dump em into a fryer. But... that's why I give three stars. read more

Great food, service was very friendly, although kind of slow. That could just have been this morning. We came for breakfast and ordered a small California omelette and a milkshake. Just tried Corbett's for the first time last month, and was not disappointed. I've already been back several times, and I live 70 miles away! I appreciate being able to order breakfast or lunch, no matter the time. The poached eggs are perfectly done - not an easy thing to find. The only thing better than the food is the service, which has been outstanding each visit. Even met the owner today, who could not have been gracious and interested in making sure our dining experience was up to her standards. This place is a gem. read more

This is a decent little place that has been passed thru many owners in the years. I ate there a month ago. Service was very good for Redding where it seems like the wait staff was hired that morning and won't get trained until next month. The food was good and fresh. Corbetts is our "go to" restaurant in Redding for breakfast and lunch. Food is always good, they use local grower to ensure freshness and their wait-staff provides great customer service. Service was pretty good. My sons liked their sandwiches. One said the burger Patty tasted like a sausage Patty in a good way. My other son's french dip was served on crispy bread with grilled onion, swiss and tomato. I just had eggs, bacon and hash browns. The BLTA-croissant is exceptional and the tuna sandwich is the kind of lunch you would casually enjoy on an everyday basis. My fiance and I had breakfast 2 days ago. Neither of us had ever been. The restaurant was clean, friendly staff and easy to find. I ordered the club sandwich and he ordered the ham breakfast. Everything was great and we didn't wait long for the food. I'm giving it 3 stars because of the price and follow up. It was $30+ for our meal. To me, that is a bit steep for a san which and some ham and eggs. When I was asked for a to-go box I said yes then waited over 10 minutes before another waitress asked me. When I said yes to her I still waited more than 5 minutes. Overall, I don't think we will return. read more

While our server was appropriate, the female owner was beyond rude. While eating the shredded potatoes, we found a pebble (about the size of 1/4 dime). The server showed it to the owner who proceeded to try to make us feel bad for reporting the "itty bitty little thing" and never took ownership. If we had bitten down on it we would have been at the dentist. Luckily I felt in in my mouth before biting. It was not itty bitty.
