I LOVE this place! We buy our dog food here, bird feeders, medicine for our dogs, gift cards, and I buy gifts here for my friends! My newest and about every 2-3 week purchases? 50 lb. Bags of wild bird seed and cracked corn for the ducks that visit my back yard! The most ducks I've had were 47, but tonight only 31! And...I also got great advice about a "bird app" that I downloaded to record the birds I hear and it tells you the birds that are chirping! It's called the "Merlin" bird app! Love this place, stopped by because it was suggested as a good pet supplier, but when I walked in I was blown away. Not only was the selection of dog and cat supplies impressive, THEY SELL PLANTS! I just got a giant gorgeous Monstera Adansonii I was introduced to several staff members and sent home with samples for my fur babies. Can't recommend this place enough. Prices are decent, service is incredible and it's a local business... what's not to love? read more

Went for a little spring outing with the pups -- our first with both together. We stopped at this wonderful garden and pet store so they could go in and look, too. With 2 endcaps of Kong toys, it wasn't hard to find the new puppy something to teeth on (she loves it!) When we really need food etc, this looks like a great place, and doesn't have that Big Box feel of some of the chain pet stores. The choices are more selective, and obviously made by the people there who own the store and for the pets/animals they sell to. They even carry the all natural mix brand I having been buying online because I couldn't find it in stores (until now!!) Excellent find! We had a bit of a scare in the shop: Our Aussie-doodle, Cocoa, has been shedding his thick winter coat by the brush-full, and I didn't realize how loose his collar had become -- until he slipped out of it and took off running right out the front door toward the parking lot (and busy street.) It turned out he was just dashing for the curb to find a puppy patch, but the shopkeepers helped corral him. One even stopped what she was doing and helped tighten his collar so it wouldn't happen again --all while I held the new puppy. Can't thank them enough. We will get better at managing 2 at a time -- but thanks to these wonderful people, we all survived the first trial! read more

One of the best customer service experiences ever. Not an over exaggeration. Went in to find something special for my pups 10th birthday. My 1.5 yr old son and I were immediately greeted by the friendliest man who asked if we were looking for something in particular and ended with "make yourselves at home". They have an incredible selection of toys, treats and specialties. We found the perfect toys and a you-bake pupcake that was wheat free and limited, real ingredients. WHEAT FREE! After purchasing all our new goodies the woman who checked us out started to carry the bag out for me since I had my son in tow. The man we originally spoke to ran up and insisted he take the bag to our car. They were so genuinely helpful and nice. I will definitely be back again and again! read more

We came in a few weeks back looking for something to relieve our Chihuahuas hot spots and get some more dog food. The gentleman (I believe may be the owner) who came over to help us went above and beyond our expectations. He started to ask very specific questions about our dogs weight and overall demeanor (our pup is very overweight and lazy because of it). He recommended a different kind of dog food with lower protein, and some organic hot spot spray. This new food has made a HUGE change, our pup is losing weight and has gained energy back! Also, his itching has decreased with the spray and diet change. I'm so thankful for the time they spent with us, they truly do care about their customers. I went there to find a flex leash because i had purchased one a few days previous that was very cheaply made and didnt work well. The one i found here was more expensive but it was quality. I love this store. They are helpful, give good advice and always point me in the right direction. They carry all of the things I need for my pets and animals. They even store the UPC's for my dog food so that I get my refund from the manufacturer. They have everything you could possibly want and if they don't have it, they can get it for you. They know their food and their products and are really some of the most helpful and friendly people out there. I was feeding my dogs food from the grocery store. I went to copper creek, they suggested something else, yes it cost twice as much but get this, the dogs eat MAYBE 1/3 of what they were before because it has actual nutrition specific for my dogs needs in it. So instead of spending $45 a month on dog food at the grocery store and dealing with nasty poo in the backyard, I buy one $23 bag and it lasts all month. read more

I found the employees to be extremely helpful. I did have to ask a couple employees the same question until I found someone who knew what they were talking about. It seems like the service used to be a lot better when I shopped two months ago.. Prices seemed higher then most . Great selection in pet foods, but not in pet beds, collars, or bowls. We've been in the Salem area for almost 4 yrs and this is the only place we buy our dog's food from. They are always so helpful and are great at recommendations. Our vet recommended senior food for our fur baby, but he doesn't do well with chicken.....he'll stink up the entire house. I inquired about a "senior food" without chicken and they explained it was likely recommended due to low protein, but had me verify that with my vet. They helped me pick out the right brand with lowest amount of protein, minus chicken. They will also gladly accept returns if your animal won't eat it or doesn't like it. They've even set me up with a bunch of samples for my picky little guy to find what he likes best. Customer service is always great! In addition to dog food, they offer cat and other animal food, as well as lawn and bbq supplies. read more

We came into the store just as they were closing for the night - but they turned the lights back on to help us. How rare is that in today's world! I came to this store specifically to look for birdhouses, late in the season. They had several options, but wasn't what I was looking for. I discussed with the manager/owner (?) what I wanted. He suggested another business that might have what I needed. He also gave me the option that he could order what I wanted, but it would take a couple of days. His staff would call me to advise when the order would arrive. I was so impressed with the *true* customer service and integrity, that I told him I'd rather purchase from him and wait a little longer rather than go elsewhere.
