I took my dog here as a new,first time customer to do the self service dog wash, due to a neighbor telling me that is where they take their dog and like it however, I found the facility to be quite dirty. The soap that they provide is extremely watery and runny and the dog brushes they provide were full of hair and not clean, so basically, I was paying $15 to use the water! No thank you! I popped in to have my dogs nails done. I told her that my dog has issues with his front feet and that they are hard to do. She immediately did his nails and she used a dremel type tool which I appreciate it. The best part was my dog let her do it easily and there was no issue. I have never seen my dog react sooo positively to a nail trim. It was amazing. I also forgot cash on me and she was trusting enough to let me come back later. I chose to go to this place because of the covid-19 and everywhere else being closed. My dog really needed their glands expressed so I needed to go in. I asked for a hair TRIM and ended up picking up my dog who looked like they were buzz cut shaved. My dog is normally a wire haired terrier and I've gotten their hair trimmed but never completely shaved off. She looked totally crazy and like a boy, I felt really sad for her! I thought saying a trim would mean an inch or so... I should have been more clear. They also told me they weren't able to cut her nails because she was "biting" them. My dog is difficult to cut nails, I agree, however every other salon has been able to get it done. They are the experts and should be able to do it, right??? I was pretty disappointed. I didn't want to keep supporting chains like petco and PetSmart but I'll be going back to them next time instead.... read more

Pet Designs was recommended by my friend who takes her 2 doodles here and is always pleased. My Daisy mini-doodle looked absolutely fabulous when I picked her up. The salon is great the two gals knew just what to do with my two dogs I was very happy. I have an Australian Shepherd part lab I needed her trimmed so she wouldn't shed so much they knew just what to do they also gave her a blowout which helped a ton. I'm going on my third visit now my other dog is a small poodle type dog they trimmed him just right also. The facility is clean and pleasant for the dogs to be in. read more

I love taking my dogs to pet design. I used to drive out to the country about 20 miles in order to have a quieter place for my dogs due to their anxiety. I love that place but it was so far and didn't offer the right days for me. I now love pet Design is so close to me. I live in Cambridge Woods off of battle Creek and they are right on the corner of Fairview and 12th Street. My dogs always enjoy pet design because they aren't caged. They don't seem to be intimidated by the bigger dogs. I have pekepoos and they are older 10 and 11. One is blind and has found his way to their outside area and an open cage and laid in their next to a little chihauha. The other hated getting grooming and would bite at leashes and scissors and snap, but now does perfect for them. They are very experienced in grooming my dogs always look great and I know they love the dogs and hate to see them in cages. They told me they have a separate room for dogs if they need to be separated for aggressiveness (although I have never seen an aggressive dog there) or if they have injuries and can't play. I always tell them any issues that are going on with my dogs. One has a partially torn miniscus and can't play. He needs to be calm. So they watch him and if he starts getting too playful they put him in a separate room to relax. The bigger dogs there are always very nice and my little dogs don't seem to be intimidated by them or the other little dogs. Which makes me comfortable about taking them there. My dogs are under 20#. They are also very nicely priced at $45 each. I've paid as much as $60 in the past and had someone accidentally cut my momma dog in her armpit. Now to be fair she had a matte there. I know accidents happen and I don't take my dogs in every month, probably closer to every 3 months, but, they have never been cut or nicked there. I think you will enjoy them as much as I do and the others on Yelp and FB. As I did a lot of research before trying them out and looked at all the reviews and other places, and they were by far the best in reviews, closest and listened to my concerns before taking them in. *Beyond impressed.* My dog Daisy, a Bichon frise needs regular routine grooming, I have NEVER seen her look SO GOOD!!! These gals know what they're doing. I'm use to paying $60, she was only $45. I asked for same day app for her on a Saturday and they got me in no problem that morning. They aren't caged at all, so they run around with all the other doggie clients which is great as well. We just used their self serve dog wash station for our chocolate lab. There is only one station so it's private / your dog doesn't have the distraction of other dogs right next to them! They had all the tools most others have, but their dryer was warm which I have not found before. Their price is fantastic.. can't beat $12. We were just in town for the weekend, but if we did live here, I would sure make this our regular dog wash spot! read more

Woooow. If I could give no stars I would. So this place was recommended to me by several people. I took my cat in a couple weeks ago to be groomed and not only was the groomer going so fast and rough with my cat I thought she was tweaked out on meth, but when I kept saying my cat was done with her she kept going anyways. I called a week and a half ago to complain and potentially ask for my money back. The manager told me she'd call and talk to the owner and call me back within a few days. She never called me back, so I just called to follow up with her and she said it was a misunderstanding and the groomer didn't think I was telling her to stop. She said she could offer another grooming and when I said no her regular groomer is back open so I'll take her there instead... and she huffed and HUNG UP on me!!!! I've told my experience to a number of people, including her regular groomer who I just saw to fix the nails that lady messed up, and I've heard nothing but bad things about that particular groomer. So be warned, do NOT take your cat here!!! Very poor service and attitudes. read more

I love supporting small/local businesses, so this is the place for me! They are always so quick to get my dog in and out and the quality isn't compromised. I also love that they're a doggie daycare too so my dog doesn't have to be kenneled before or after being groomed, which makes the experience less stressful for him. I am a somewhat new dog owner for the first time; I got my little sweetums because of a cancer diagnosis and chemo, and she was a champ through it all! I really was not happy with the nail grooming we were getting at the vet...imagine my delight when I stopped by Pet Designs, right around the corner from me, and got my baby the best pawdicure ever! Not only perfectly clipped, and actually short enough for the first time, but then they took a dremel tool and smoothed the edges so I would not have to worry about my sensitive chemo damaged skin.
