This place was packed, and while the parking near the front of the retail space may fill, thankfully if you venture just a little further on you'll find another area. They had a great mix of plants, leaning most heavily on annuals and more houseplants than I would have expected. Noteable finds were a variety of daphne, big beautiful gallon size dahlias, a good range of smaller perennials (I snatched up three varieties of dianthus!) and herbs, large and inexpensive violas, and beautiful rex begonias. I also spotted a very large pineapple guava and nice size azaleas. Of course, they had the requisite hanging baskets too. Again, this place was really busy, but there were plenty of employees to assist, and I even saw one make sure an older waiting customer was okay, offering a chair as she'd been standing for a while. All the customers here seemed especially happy and excited. It was a fun place to shop alongside them. The only negative I can give is that many people had wagons and there is no extra space to pass two wagons along the same row in the greenhouses, but everyone was so darn courteous it was not a big deal. They also had flat boxes conveniently placed around and I would opt to just carry a box around if you can.

I live in Portland so I took a little drive there and what a beautiful selection of annuals and perrenials. They have no advertising or signage up, thus when I arrived I thought maybe they were wholesale only. But it's hard to deter me from plants so I marched on in, and the lovely woman who greeted me was friendly and helpful as could be, confirming they were open to the public and handing off a box to fill with treasures. They also have handy wagons available. The nursery is very large, and every time I thought I'd seen everything the next corner would reveal another greenhouse. I quickly filled a box with herbs of every sort, then another with healthy perennials, strawberries, and even a mix of daffodils and narcissus. Oh, and don't forget they have houseplants! I got so much good stuff, but a few favorite finds were peonies, bleeding hearts, astilbe, purple basil, salad burnet, Vietnamese coriander, lemon verbena, Labrador violets, eucalyptus, hardy ferns, and lantana. They are cash or check only, so come prepared. It's worth going a little (or a lot!) out of your way if you usually only utilize card payments. The prices are eminently reasonable, and they even offer discounts on flats. Oh, and they are well known for their fabulous hanging baskets!

One of my top points of interest while visiting Oregon is Adelman Peony Garden. It's a must visit…read morefor me because I *love love love* peonies! Parking was easy as they have plenty of parking in the front as some in the back towards the store. I got to roam around in the fields and took lots of pictures and videos. It was so lovely to see and smell the varieties of peonies. So beautiful. There's no entrance fee. I wandered through one of the fields as there were two. Lol.. My favorites are Mrs. FDR (smells so elegant almost like lychee), Coral Charm, and Bartzilla. I visited the store and bought 9 peonies for myself, my mom, sister, and best friend. They bloomed beautifully. If I'm ever in Oregon again during the same time, I would totally visit this spot again. :)

We had one, when we bought the house, but I didn't care for them, because the flowers were too heavy, when it rains, they all flop to the ground. It was red. This is our first visit here! May be our last, one because it's too long a line to buy flowers, and it's too far away. I love peonies, but they ran out of a lot of cut flowers, and they only come in 6/$20. (You can get more than 30 for $21.30 @ Trader Joe's) I was very happy with them, though, they have slight scent and I love coming down the stairs smelling them when I wake up! Bring your own container, add more water, remove the wrapping. Yesterday, was the perfect day, to visit the gardens! There were a lot of people picnicking on benches/tables, and a few on the grass. Bring lunch! Bring your own blanket. Don't get me wrong! I love to visit other gardens, in Oregon, and I'm glad I got to visit one PEONY garden.

If you are seeking hostas, they are your number one option in Oregon, and maybe anywhere! Seriously, I started to try to pick some out, but I didn't have a lot of spare time, so decided I'd better return when I had a couple hours. They, no exaggeration, have 500+ varieties! In addition to the absolutely insane amount of hostas, they also had more varieties of ferns, astilbe and epimedium than I have ever seen gathered in one place. I quickly filled a basket with my selections, then loped along, arms overflowing with additional plants that didn't fit. There were a couple customers in line as I was paying, and we all laughed about trying to limit your purchases by only using a basket. Learn from my mistakes and opt for the carts! Anyways, I ended up with a beautiful golden geum, three hardy fuchsias, two yellow wonder strawberries, a red (Valentine) bleeding heart, striped lily of the valley, a hardy begonia, and dancing geisha dianthus. They had all the kooky, fun plant varieties that I am always seeking, in addition to their more standard counterparts. They also had limited bushes and trees, and some pretty display gardens and landscaping to serve as inspiration. Prices are comparable to other nurseries, in some cases lower. The gentleman who assisted me at checkout was friendly and nice, and Sebright just felt like such a pleasant place to shop as all the customers were so sweet and echoed excitement about everyone else's finds in addition to their own. Sebrights are my favorite chickens. Just look one up and tell me they aren't the cutest! You know this nursery must be good if they share a moniker. Lastly, while they don't have a specific date they open for the season each year, for 2022 it was the end of March, and they said that is about in line with what they normally do. So if you get a hankerin' for some early spring gardening they are ready for ya!

Some friends, in the know set up a date for us to picnic. It was on their last day open for the iris bloom and it was busy but not crazy. First of all, just pulling in and the sweet people at the front immediately saw my ADA tag and directed me. I pulled up no sweat and grabbed a port o potty right there, before grabbing my bags from the car. They seem rather clean and tended too which is appreciated as no one sane enjoys using a sh*t box so I definitely glad to have it be as painless as possible. The grass walking paths are pretty walk friendly {and I have a cane + mobility challenges} with many colorful benches so you can sit if you need to. I did not know what to expect and I have seen many gardens others described as amazing. l grew up gardening and these are well tended. It helps that they were clearly planted with intention as well which really maximizes blooms. I was almost expecting to just see iris but the iris are within the well maintained gardens with such great variety of other plants. My friends set up in a very lovely shady spot under a tree in the 'secret garden' so a spot less traffic'd with our picnic. Fair warning - the grounds tuxedo kitty is super sweet {and crafty - he saw we had tuna salad!}. I lost track of time or I would have definitely spent a lot in the gift shop which sell iris for your garden. There was a decent amount of 'mystery color' iris in the front of it for $10 each if you are feeling lucky, though can you really lose with that? There were some great looking food trucks, wineries and an ice cream cart if you don't pack your own. We are now planning to do this annually since it was such a great way to spend the afternoon.

My neighbor and I bought the similar tree a week apart and hers is perfect no issues. This man said there is absolutely nothing he can do "just give it time" So I thought am I going to be cutting the leaves every other month? He just walked off as if I was bothering him. I felt hopeless and disappointed if this was Walmart or Bimart they would have taken care of my situation. So FYI don't bother buying plants or trees there. Talk about supporting small businesses.
