Such a wonderful farm to visit when it's peony season (April, May & the first half of June). You can wander the fields and be amazed at all the varieties of peonies you have never heard of! They have each row marked with the variety. The wind was blowing and beautiful scent wafted in our noses. You can buy bouquets or plants, and order from their colorful catalog they give out free. The prices of the plants vary but you can find some varieties for as low as $20! That's hard to beat at your local nursery. I came home with 3 good sized peonies, 2 hydrangeas and a Bloodgood Japanese maple tree all for $155.

Right off the highway. Free parking and entrance. Even if the peonies aren't in full bloom, GO! It's beautiful and fresh air does us all good! Don't forget to look at what peonies they have for sale! $4 a stem!

This place was so beautiful. I hadn't been here in years and it definitely has developed! Such beautiful gardens. We ended up buying a couple of them but my favorite one was too pricey for that visit.

Absolute stunning peonies and varieties I never knew existed. Walking through the well -maintained fields was so relaxing. The busy pollen- collecting bees were fun to watch too. Great place to stop to catch a glimpse or More of the wonders of creation.

If you've never been to Adelman Peony Gardens you need to get there by mid May, for full bloom. The flowers are a SIGHT to behold. Not only that but they smell amazing and the beauty is just unending. Everywhere you look, it's pure beauty!!! I've gotten at least one peony plant to take home each year we have gone and it's been incredibly nice to look out at my garden and see those blooms during the Peony season.

I visited for the first time in mid May with my sister and was astonished at the variety and beauty of peonies they grow and sell! We thought we'd spend about an hour here, but ended up staying for almost four hours wandering the fields and taking photos. The peony bushes for sale ranged from $22-$125 depending on the variety. The staff are friendly and helpful. I thought the sale area was well organized and well run. Side note: for anyone with a hazelnut allergy, the plant sale area paths are hazelnut shells. Just a heads up in case you need to avoid that. The fields are hazelnut free!

We visited during peak peony season. And really enjoyed walking through rows and rows of beautiful and some very fragrant peonies. They have created beautiful arrangements with cut flowers, like that gorgeous truck, for picture perfect backgrounds. I think though that they could add some more things to do to make it more fun for kids visiting too - like live music, a small play area, snacks or ice cream to buy. Just saying because that has helped us keep the kids entertained at other local flower gardens, but we had a bit of a struggle here.

I bought 8 tree peonies last fall. All of them survived and 4 of them have beautiful flowers the first year. I will buy more in future.

I'd never been to a flower farm before, so I decided to pack up the dog and a little lunch and drive the 35 minutes or so to check out this peony farm. I'm glad I did! It's a very pleasant place to wander around, admire the gardens, and the peonies of course. There's this out-building where they have all the different varieties of peonies on display, and where you make purchases. The old pickup truck filled with flowers out in front was a very busy photo-op spot, and rightly so! I didn't get a photo of it though Oops I bought a small bouquet of peonies for $25 I believe, and they lasted all week - the blooms were fluffy and luxurious. Awesome.

In the shop they display the many kinds of peonies

I didn't know there were so many kinds of peonies! I lucked out and visited the area just in time for their last weekend of the season. We were out visiting family so I went to get some flowers as gifts and walked away with the most beautiful small assortments for a great price. Important to Note that while you can walk around the gardens, you cannot pick your own flowers. But there are plenty to choose from in the shop and the staff is friendly and helpful.

It was Memorial Weekend 2023 that I had seen on Instagram about this pretty flower garden! The atmosphere is so nice. They have free parking! Plenty of space to roam! Family friendly and pet friendly. They have a small shaded barn like area where their truck sits and then where you can purchase flowers. They also have an area- that I didn't check out of places to pick flowers for purchase. It's a nice drive. It was also a great time there! I'd recommend. They don't have multiple vendors either for food or drink however it was nice because it wasn't cluttered! I was talking with my friend and we would pick this garden over the Tulip Festival as it's chaotic there! So many vibrant colors of peonies.

We went around 10 AM on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend! It was fairly busy but the gardens are so spread out that you could take a few moments for a photoshoot without having someone walk through! The peonies were beautiful and the gardens smelled so good! There were so many different colours and varieties. We bought a few and loved the east checkout experience (you just need the name of the peony that you'd like). They also had a coffee cart there -- the iced matcha was great. The best thing about Adelman, apart from it being a free and fun experience, is that it's dog friendly!

If you are seeking hostas, they are your number one option in Oregon, and maybe anywhere! Seriously, I started to try to pick some out, but I didn't have a lot of spare time, so decided I'd better return when I had a couple hours. They, no exaggeration, have 500+ varieties! In addition to the absolutely insane amount of hostas, they also had more varieties of ferns, astilbe and epimedium than I have ever seen gathered in one place. I quickly filled a basket with my selections, then loped along, arms overflowing with additional plants that didn't fit. There were a couple customers in line as I was paying, and we all laughed about trying to limit your purchases by only using a basket. Learn from my mistakes and opt for the carts! Anyways, I ended up with a beautiful golden geum, three hardy fuchsias, two yellow wonder strawberries, a red (Valentine) bleeding heart, striped lily of the valley, a hardy begonia, and dancing geisha dianthus. They had all the kooky, fun plant varieties that I am always seeking, in addition to their more standard counterparts. They also had limited bushes and trees, and some pretty display gardens and landscaping to serve as inspiration. Prices are comparable to other nurseries, in some cases lower. The gentleman who assisted me at checkout was friendly and nice, and Sebright just felt like such a pleasant place to shop as all the customers were so sweet and echoed excitement about everyone else's finds in addition to their own. Sebrights are my favorite chickens. Just look one up and tell me they aren't the cutest! You know this nursery must be good if they share a moniker. Lastly, while they don't have a specific date they open for the season each year, for 2022 it was the end of March, and they said that is about in line with what they normally do. So if you get a hankerin' for some early spring gardening they are ready for ya!

Some friends, in the know set up a date for us to picnic. It was on their last day open for the iris bloom and it was busy but not crazy. First of all, just pulling in and the sweet people at the front immediately saw my ADA tag and directed me. I pulled up no sweat and grabbed a port o potty right there, before grabbing my bags from the car. They seem rather clean and tended too which is appreciated as no one sane enjoys using a sh*t box so I definitely glad to have it be as painless as possible. The grass walking paths are pretty walk friendly {and I have a cane + mobility challenges} with many colorful benches so you can sit if you need to. I did not know what to expect and I have seen many gardens others described as amazing. l grew up gardening and these are well tended. It helps that they were clearly planted with intention as well which really maximizes blooms. I was almost expecting to just see iris but the iris are within the well maintained gardens with such great variety of other plants. My friends set up in a very lovely shady spot under a tree in the 'secret garden' so a spot less traffic'd with our picnic. Fair warning - the grounds tuxedo kitty is super sweet {and crafty - he saw we had tuna salad!}. I lost track of time or I would have definitely spent a lot in the gift shop which sell iris for your garden. There was a decent amount of 'mystery color' iris in the front of it for $10 each if you are feeling lucky, though can you really lose with that? There were some great looking food trucks, wineries and an ice cream cart if you don't pack your own. We are now planning to do this annually since it was such a great way to spend the afternoon.

After a day in Salem visiting Schreiner's Iris Garden (spectacular garden filled with Iris, lupine, columbine, peony) and Adelman Peony Garden (exquisite) I passed a sign for Brook Garden Peonies and followed the trail of signs pointing the way. It's a bit off the beaten path and down a long gravel road (definitely had to wash my car afterwards!) that takes you past the garden's owners home to a large parking area next to a field of peonies. Mid May to mid June is the best time to go if you want to experience the peony, and iris, if full bloom. It's a spectacular sight with a huge variety in color combinations, petal shape and texture. Nothing like spending time in the beauty of nature to breath it all in. It has a way of grounding you and giving perspective to the greater world around you. Next to the field is the covered area where the owners ring up your purchases. You can purchase gallon containers for your garden and bouquets of these gorgeous and fragrant flowers for your home. The owners are so friendly and clearly enthusiastic about their farm.
