this was such a fun outing! we learned about the types of trees and attributes of each variety. I don't think I have ever laughed so much in finding a perfect tree. once we wrangled our largish tree back to the parking lot we e we're invited to pose for photos and all... We came pretty last minute (about 25 minutes before they closed) hoping we could get a Christmas tree for our home. The owners were at the front and very friendly, and did not rush us at all. When we found our tree, their grandson (we believe) helped us cut it down so we wouldn't get so muddy. Upon check out, they told us trees have been dying the past few years pretty fast due to the cold temperatures and the "shock" the tree goes into when it's put into a warm home. They suggested we acclimate it in our garage before bringing it inside, which was nice for her to go out of her way to warn and let us know. They had a pretty big selection and not bad for the price :) we got a 7 footer for $90 read more

Trees are overpriced and spread out We were there at closing so last to leave and they overcharged us for our tree. They had already put their sign away so when we contested about the price they just said no that's the price. (it was $100 for 7-8 ft, $125 for 8-9) They said our tree was 8-9 but charged us $150!!!! We cut it ourselves and hauled it from a back field. At those prices I would have expected someone on an ATV with a trailer helping haul the tree. No extras like hot cocoa or a fire. Which we didn't really need but for that price I like have expected more. read more

Was extremely unimpressed! The farm is beautiful and people were wearing masks which is great. But there were no signs about directions or any kind of pricing. We were pretty confused. But when we went to check out one of the people was just extremely rude. I'm guessing she's an owner but we paid 90$ for a 5 foot tree and rude service. read more

The tree farm staff was nice and friendly. The owner shared that this year 2018 is not a great year where their trees are growing. My older sis and her family has a tradition to cut down a Christmas Tree which we were ins search of that "special," tree. Noble was the choice but Grand Fir was even more lovely. Sad to say we went walking further back to the end of the acres and many of the Noble Fir had burnt bristles on them. No tree was picked and no purchases were made. My niece and nephew enjoyed the free hot apple cider. read more

We had an awesome time going up to cut down our own Christmas tree for the first time. We met the owners wife and she said go on up to the edge of the forest and find my husband and he'll find you a tree for the money when I pay. He was very cordial and And found us a great tree for a our home. The two of them work super hard and do a great job. Cute place to cut your own tree, or choose one they've already cut. Not sure why so many trees were spray painted bright colors... I think they were going for the colored trees from the 60's look, but the effect was very strange. Kids loved it though! Free hot cider while you walk around, and very cute wreaths for sale as well. Pricing is by the foot, and they have three different types of firs. If you're worried about price, look up what differentiates Douglas, grand, and noble firs from each other, because they are priced differently but not labeled in any way on the farm. Otherwise, we had a great time. Our 7 ft Douglas was $42, and he's a great tree! read more

We have been here before for a Christmas tree. It's a very beautiful tree farm. There are many varieties of trees and lots of selection. The people that run the operation are very nice and extremely patient. They helped us cut down our tree, it was huge! They even helped carry it to the shake and baler. Fair prices and a complimentary tree preservative. We will definitely return next year! read more

THE WORST TREE FARM I HAVE EVER BEEN TO IN 30 years! All their trees are mile from where you park. You have to cut it yourself AND pull it up with a dolly! Ya right! Horrible weather. One of their helpers saw us struggling to pull it up and ignored us and walked away, we came up bc we couldn't do it. The two boys came to get our trees and even they were struggling and cussing around my two kids. We get to the tent and they want $120! I cannot believe it. I will never ever ever go there again and I will tell all of my friend and family in Beavercreek and Redland to stay away. The lady didn't care one bit after we told her out our experience. They had every kind of tree you would want for a good price. We got an 8 foot noble for 50 dollars. It was pouring rain and they cut it down for us, shook it, put it through a machine that tied it, and helped tie it to our car roof. All of this during the pouring rain. The only down side is they didn't take card but it's in the middle of the country so that's expected. read more

The trees this year are pretty sparse and not great quality. The older woman who owns the farm and is always there with her cheerless attitude is enough to turn us off of this tree farm (we've come here for several years in a row). This is our last year here...we'll find another tree farm next year. read more

We went on Monday. No one else there. The owner took us around and showed us her entire property. She was very friendly and made our special needs daughter feel very important and welcome. Found a beautiful grand fir and one of the workers carried it a LONG way to our car. Shook and wrapped the tree. Couldn't be happier. read more

Went today to cut our own Christmas tree. They were open mid-week with shaking and baling service, which is a definite plus! The selection was large with excellent quality of trees. We are partial to Doug Firs and had hundreds to choose from, and their Noble and Grand Firs were plentiful too. Dougs were $3/foot, Nobles and Grands were $6/foot. Service was cheerful and helpful. Will be going back next year! read more

I will not be back to Allen's Tree Farm. The tree selection has grown thin over the years, the few remaining trees appear to be unhealthy, and they are way overpriced. I paid $75 for a 7 to 8-foot Grand Nobel Fir that had a lot of dead and dying branches. I took it up by another 1 to 2 feet and put it in the corner of my living room so it would look good through the season. I shouldn't have to pay more to drive to the country and cut down my own tree than I would have to pay at my local scout lot. read more

At first glance the selection looked pretty sparse, but after some searching we found a really nice looking tree. $81 for a 9' Noble Fir is a bit more than we've paid at other farms in the past, but I keep hearing about a Christmas tree shortage, so supply and demand I guess. read more
