Sometimes when I go, it is nearly empty- hardly any plants- and I am talking about during prime planting time like Spring and Fall. There is hardly anyone ever shopping now too. The staff also seems less than thrilled to be there and some act like you are bothering them when you go to check out even when they aren't busy. Sorry to bother them while they are looking on their phones but I'm trying to check out! It has become a sort of depressing place to go now so I don't plan to be back. It is definitely a great place to shop for plants. It is definitely a smelly place though.

Still just this one location makes it more than worth the drive. The front garden is absolutely lovely with little walking paths and a variety of flowers in all different colors. To the East, they have rows and rows of blooming peony fields that you are free to walk through. It's peaceful, smells amazing and makes for some really good photos. Did I mention it was free? I believe they were getting ready for an event the day that we visited, so we probably only spent about 30 to 40 minutes here but it was quite enjoyable. They had a good selection of potted peonies, cut flowers and other items for sale and they also had picnic tables. So if you wanted to bring a little lunch and just enjoy nature, it seems like they would welcome that. If you're in the area during peony season, this location is definitely worth the stop!

On my recent trip, I saw a gorgeous Fall planter in Fine Gardening's magazine, I brought the photo in and asked for all the plants in that photo. They helped me pick out every one and gave me a little knowledge on the different ornamental grasses too. The plants I found here were also infested!! I was dismissed when I showed it to the cashier. She scraped off the one I showed her and said she'd take care of that plant.
