Stunning! Listen, y'all, look...I have paid entrance fees to parks and gardens that aren't nearly as sprawling and diverse with flora as this magnificent spot! It's free...kinda, as long as you're not like me and can't leave a place that sells flowers and plants without buying at least one. Free! FREE! (I'm lookin' at you, Shreiner's!) I was especially excited to see that they had a vast array of different tree species! I adore flowers, I do, but I am passionately and deeply in love with trees (be sure to stop and smell the eucalyptus!). There are wonderful wandering paths, a gazebo, peacocks, pigeons, and plants! A great spot to take a date and a picnic basket. I know it says "hosta" on the sign, friends, but this is so much more! That being said, I have a whole new appreciation for hosta and the varieties that exist! And gee, this girl loves a good whacky plant name (enter: Hairy Lip Fern)! Normally, if this was a food related post, I would caption every dang picture I upload--because there is nothing worse than a food picture without identifying what it is called on the menu, people--but I think nature speaks for itself here and their page is significantly lacking in photos! Go, take a drive. Head to Sebright (which is named for a Bantam breed of chicken that also happens to grace the property mind you...just ask the friendly cashier) and have a wonderful stroll!

Lovely gardens and gift shop! The gardens were interesting to go through. Well, worth the trip.

This place was packed, and while the parking near the front of the retail space may fill, thankfully if you venture just a little further on you'll find another area. They had a great mix of plants, leaning most heavily on annuals and more houseplants than I would have expected. Noteable finds were a variety of daphne, big beautiful gallon size dahlias, a good range of smaller perennials (I snatched up three varieties of dianthus!) and herbs, large and inexpensive violas, and beautiful rex begonias. I also spotted a very large pineapple guava and nice size azaleas. Of course, they had the requisite hanging baskets too. Again, this place was really busy, but there were plenty of employees to assist, and I even saw one make sure an older waiting customer was okay, offering a chair as she'd been standing for a while. All the customers here seemed especially happy and excited. It was a fun place to shop alongside them. The only negative I can give is that many people had wagons and there is no extra space to pass two wagons along the same row in the greenhouses, but everyone was so darn courteous it was not a big deal. They also had flat boxes conveniently placed around and I would opt to just carry a box around if you can.

Excellent quality plants at amazingly low prices! We will always shop here within the limited…read moreamount of months that they are open (April through July). Great customer service as well.

Still just this one location makes it more than worth the drive. The front garden is absolutely lovely with little walking paths and a variety of flowers in all different colors. To the East, they have rows and rows of blooming peony fields that you are free to walk through. It's peaceful, smells amazing and makes for some really good photos. Did I mention it was free? I believe they were getting ready for an event the day that we visited, so we probably only spent about 30 to 40 minutes here but it was quite enjoyable. They had a good selection of potted peonies, cut flowers and other items for sale and they also had picnic tables. So if you wanted to bring a little lunch and just enjoy nature, it seems like they would welcome that. If you're in the area during peony season, this location is definitely worth the stop!

I often come here for peaceful walks under the big blue Oregon sky, surrounded by endless rows of beautiful peonies. Even when it's busy, there's a sense of calm and tranquility that makes it easy to slow down and enjoy the moment. Best of all, it's free to visit. If you'd like to bring a picnic, there are plenty of tables and grassy spots to spread out and relax. Whether you're a flower lover, photographer, or just looking for a beautiful place to unwind, this is a special little gem in the Willamette Valley.
