I got recommended to go check this place out by a friend and on top of that Yelp did a great job of pointing this place out too. When I mentioned to my brothers and friends that pitchers were only $4 alot of people wanted to come with us to check it out. So this review is based on 4 peoples opinions. They all rated it 4 out of 5. Pros - Cheap Beer and Cheap Liquor. $4 Pitchers of Bud, Bud light, Sam Adams and Coors. $6 or 7 for Hef. Liquor is cheap too. - Very Casual place to go to. Nobody looking for trouble or trying to intimadate you. - They have a pool table. Two dart machines. A center stovepipe heater. Kinda bowling lane raised ??. - They have a lot of seating and its not too crowded. - People are drinking pitchers instead of mugs. You can ask for mugs too which we did to share between the 4 of us. Awesome. The Cons. - The Pitchers are only 3/4 the size of a regular pitcher which you can notice on first impression. But 3 full mugs. - Last Call is around 1.30am which is kinda weriod but oh well. - Oh they take only CASH Overall Awesome place. read more

An awesome place to come for drinks and games. Beers run for about $4 for a mini pitcher (I think they're 32 oz or 40s but they definitely fill up 3 glasses) and the mix drinks are cheap but strong. If you're like me and love to play games as you drink they have pretty much everything you can think of. 1) That Megatouch game (awesome for playing trivia games or photo hunt *wink wink*) 2) A pool table 3) Some heads up Texas Holdem tournament machine (I don't know I've never played on that machine) 4) Three electronic dart boards (they're electronic so you need about a quarter or two per person to keep score during a game) 5) And table shuffleboard! Cheap pitchers of beer. Darts, pool, some kind of air hockey?, virtual game (like in casinos) and modern iPlay jukebox. The crowd can be kind of eccentric you get all kinds of people from different sides of the track. For their drink prices this place brings everyone around. Everyone smokes outside by the only entrance so If you're just walking in and don't smoke hold your breath. I've never had any problems here they don't have a bouncer but I have seen Teri one of the bartenders give a firm look to someone before and tell him he's cut off and will be kicked out soon if he doesn't get his act straight. This place defines Dive bars. Relaxed environment with plenty of beers. I'm rating this bar based on what I would expect at a dive bar. No dance music or crazy high-class scene. Nope, just a good place to relax with your buddies while playing a few games. Speaking of the games, they have it all. Shuffleboard, darts, pool table, etc.. My favorite part of the copper bucket has to be the games. The staff is excellent. I haven't met a single person I didn't like that worked at the copper bucket. If anything, I probably had a conversation or two with everyone. Super friendly that adds to the environment. Prices are what you expect from a bar in the San Fernando Valley. This place is the shizz. Introduced by a neighborhood regular, this place is a gem in the valley, especially in the middle of the valley where, usually, it's harder to find anything better than your typical house party. The bartenders are adorable, quick, and generous. Drinks are CHEAP and if you know what the specials are, (AHEM... which I cannot disclose, but you can ask around when you've had a few drinks), you will be WINNING. Also, these are not WEAK drinks either, and they will catch up with you. Darts, Shuffleboard, Pool. Nice size smoking patio outside for the smokey bears. Jukebox which, if you don't control early in the night, will be much more Skrillex and much less Johnny Cash. Yes, it's a dive bar, but it's super young and it's a little dim, which is always nice. People are cool too, bet you'll have friends by the end of the night :) AND AND AND. You can order in food to the place! Since they don't have food there (except on special occasions, which is also awesome), you can order in from any of the local spots, which include some dope pizza and sandwiches, and you can continue drinking happily. read more

This is a must-go for dive bars. The prices are UNBELIEVABLY low, and the environment is wonderfully divey, but not unfriendly (I've been here many times and have yet to ever see a fight or serious argument). There is a shuffleboard table and three dart boards. They have an internet capable jukebox as well. Most of the crowd tends to be pretty young, although there are some old regulars as well (one of the reasons I love dive bars). On the down side, it's cash only (however they do have an ATM) and there is only one pool table. $20 will get you to drunksville, $40 will get you smashed. This place gets five stars solely based on how ridiculously cheap the drinks are. When I say ridiculous, I mean ridiculous. A small pitcher of beer is like $3-$4, a vodka soda like $3. This is also the only place in the valley I have found with a shuffleboard table in good, playable condition. They also have about 4 dart boards and a pool table. All of which are usually full. My friend and I like to play shuffleboard here, but there is one downfall. The way the shuffleboard table is set up, is right across from the bar, so people tend to just lean up against it or set their drinks on it while you are playing. One of my favorite bars. Don't feel like dressing up? Fine. Go here. There is no "getting ready" to go this place. You walk in and you don't have to worry about anything except grabbing a drink. Draft beer is awesomely cheap, I'm talking about 64 ounces for 5 bucks cheap. Mixed drinks are just as cheap. And it has a jukebox. Who doesn't like jukeboxes? This spot is fun if you live in the area. They got a shuffleboard table and pool tables. The drinks are cheap. Absolut and Tonic is $3.25! and damn the bartender makes a stiff drink. This was our second stop during our "Karate Kid Pub Crawl", where we biked (or tried to) bike to different dive bars. The Copper Bucket was nice. Lots of fun things to do (darts, pool, lcd tvs etc.) in here. Drinks were well priced ($3.50 for a delicious Hef), and bartender was super cool (gave me a free ginger ale for being part of the group!). I'd definitely come again. Love this place! The owners are often tending bar and do an awesome job pouring drinks - nice and strong and they remember your quirks from one visit to the next, like my friend who gets a slice of lemon in her gin and tonic instead of a slice of lime. I'd give it five stars if the bathroom situation was rectified. There's only one tiny room with one stall, and that is no fun toward the end of the night when everyone's anti-diuretic hormone is being impeded by the alcohol! This place is amazing!! I've been coming here for many years and refuse to go to other bars simply because this bar has it right. I'm so slow. But once I get it going, I'm a fast learner. What am I referring to? It took me a few people a couple of times to explain darts to me, darts! I didn't get it, I just threw the darts, but by the 20-something round, I got it! I've lived in the Valley my entire life and never even noticed the Copper Bucket. Crystal L. and her gang also recently discovered this place and have since become regulars here and I was lucky enough to be included in their local night out here last night. 1: location - I literally live like 2 minutes away. There should never be any excuses for me not to come here now. There's also plenty of parking out back or in the front. You all know how I love free and readily available parking! 2: staff - The bartenders looked like they were married and I thought that was cute. Also, when I went to order they were so nice, and quick! We all know service is key and can bring up any place's stars so the service here is definitely 2 thumbs up! 3: prices - My friends ordered for me and I gave them a $5 bill. I was actually skeptical that I gave too little. When I asked how much my vodka 7-up was, I found out it was only -- drum roll -- $2.75!!!! This is easily $10+ at other places. If you can keep your prices this low, I will keep coming back and tell all my friends to come here too, I promise. Otherwise, $4 for a Jameson & ginger ale or a mini-pitcher of beer. 4: crowd - I was told that no one bothers you here. I guess that's true. People didn't bother me per se... they were just very friendly! The Bucket brings together very friendly people together, I will just leave it at that. Everyone knows each other, except me, as I rarely go there anymore. The crowd is a mix of young people who want cheap beer, losers, tweekers, and alcoholics. This is my favorite dive bar!! I've been coming here for years. Drinks are cheap, bar is very well stocked, and the mix drinks are strong. Even had my birthday party here last year. For the smokers they put out tables and stairs so you can sit outside and relax. The bartenders are always so nice. Hit up a ATM before you get there it's CASH ONLY. There is a store next door that hads a ATM but they close early. I've meet so many great people i've never had a bad exerienced here. The bathrooms are old but always clean.
