I recently in the last year made a review about lees -- but what I want to warn everyone about especially women is that the bartenders unless you're a regular are pretty cold . Very dismissive and quite literally I think only tend to you if you're a regular and they know for fact you're going to tip them more than they pour. It's unfortunate because the last review I left -- she poured well and I tipped even better. These girls tonight get the bare minimum 20% and keep it pushing. Stopped in on a Friday. We're new to the area, looking for a chill place to hang sometimes that's walkable. The bartender was attentive and friendly and very efficient. However it was way too loud for us. Max volume 90dB and thus not the chill friendly vibe we were looking for. We liked everything else. Just not looking to blow our ears out. read more

I didn't experience any of the negatives I read in other reviews. I was in Northridge and stumbled upon Lees 4 Cocktails. This is the ultimate dive/sports bar. The bartenders were welcoming and super friendly. There is no food other than chips and free popcorn from the popcorn machine, but the drinks were stiff and the beer is ice cold. They also have a couple pinball machines, a dart board, and a pool table. The place has a good vibe and awesome music coming from the jukebox. The Cure to 2 Pac. I'm a fan! My boyfriend & I were at Lee's yesterday evening for some drinks after visiting Caruso's. Both men & women's restrooms were disgusting & smelled as if they haven't cleaned in ages. I thought Sugar Suite had unclean restrooms but Lee's are the worst by far.. read more

This was our second stop of our dive bar night, and as it turned out, it was not the Lee's that we were looking for, but our Lyft had already taken off, so we figured we'd check it out. It's another small dive bar. It wasn't packed, but there were definitely some drunk regulars sitting there watching a Laker game. Lots of Lakers and Dodger fans alike, but don't they always seem to be the same person? Lol Besides the regulars, it was pretty empty. Almost everyone there was focused on their TVs. There was one female, older bartender, and she seemed very comfortable behind the bar. She made drinks quick and strong, which can definitely be a plus, if it's that kind of night. Best jukebox system in the entire valley and I'll die on that hill. The sound here beats OG's, Pogos, Paul's, Maui's or any other popular dive bar in the SFV. Just sucks the patio is gone. This is maybe the 3rd or 4th actual "dive" bar that I've been to & it's actually a decent one. Most people seem assume any bar that's a piece of sh1t counts as a dive bar. To me dive bars are fairly small, have cheap drinks, & some billiard games. That's what you have here at Lee's, a cool little spot with pitchers under 10 bucks for beers like stella, & heff. I think my jäger bomb was only about 6 bucks. If you're looking for a place with cheap drinks they have it here. And incase you get too hammered here there's a dennys & panda express where you can grab some greasy for to help hold off that hang over that you get from drinking the plastic bottle vodka well drinks. read more

Sad to see a bartender defending a blacked out pervert when themselves is a female. Went here for the first time last night just to be sexually harassed by someone who is black out drunk , he grabbed me when i was going to the bathroom and kept coming back to touch me. This started drama in the bar and my friends were just keeping this creep away from me - no one kicking him out but we dealt with it ourselves and are now "banned" The bartender saw what happened and me screaming at him to "not fucking touch me" but I guess that's just how things go here. Main bartender "Na Na" picks and chooses who she charges and who she doesn't! I legit saw her charge someone $4 while he drank for 6hrs and ended up charging me $75 for 4 beers and 3 shots... they sell masks for $1 so you can get an Uber and when I needed to purchase one she tried charging me $5 and when a regular tried to buy it for me she tried her hardest to make sure he didn't buy it and she even gave his money back! Love this place for sports they just got 5 all new 55 inch TV s, get all dodgers games and they get Direct TV NFL package so all major games on all new big screens at the same time. They usually have complentry food on game days like chicken wings, 6 foot subs, pizza ect. Friendly people and staff , pool darts what's not to love. read more

Was in the plaza to grab some Mexican food. While looking for parking, this place was there. It doesn't seem like a bar. The red font makes it seem like this place is a store that sells bar furniture? Anyway. Really low key spot. The windows are covered up. Once you enter the door, then you'll be greeted by the musky smell of a dive bar. Sat down and ordered drinks. The bar was full and a few tables had some patrons. There was a pool table and a few dart boards. Drinks came and they were pretty strong. Most people were ordering pitchers. I'm guessing pitchers are cheap. Well, with 4 mixed drinks, the total came out to just around 30 bucks. Not too bad considering I was drinking a whole cup of alcohol almost. Bartender was maybe in his late 20's, but was really attentive to all the bar patrons. Great place to grab some drinks with some friends. The crowd can be a little sketchy. Wow, this place is a literal joke! What I thought was a quant little dive bar turned to be ruined by the "bouncer" who was on a complete power trip! Walked in through the front and headed straight for the restroom, from the back alley in walks "security" and asks for my ID. I jokingly said "how do I know you are staff here?" Most of the time, it's just a few middle-aged people quietly falling into their drinks or being loud about nothing, with a couple other people shooting pool. At that point, you may as well stay home and get trashed on Bud Light. Specialty nights like trivia draw a 'big' crowd of.... 1 or 2 whole tables of people. Unfortunately, there aren't many other bars near Balboa & Devonshire, so you'll wind up with a 10+ minute drive if you want fun north Valley bars. 2.5 stars, rounded to 2, to balance out the ridiculous 4 and 5 star (!) ratings. read more

This place is a joke. The first time I visited was on my birthday 2 years ago and upon arrival, I spotted a young woman who was relentlessly harassing men into buying her drinks. She was also in the company of some very unpleasant looking fellows. By unpleasant I mean the type of person you would expect to mug you in a dark alley or be involved in a drive-by shooting. The second visit took the cake. Me and a friend sat down and ordered a beer each. The bartender, who was in his 40's, gave us our drinks and proceeded to blatantly ignore us for the next hour or so. My friend was trying to break a 20 but this man just pretended not to hear us after several attempts to get his attention. The whole time we are there, he is consistently sipping cocktails which he was hiding under the bar. He was clearly drunk and not very slick. In fact, he was too drunk and busy flirting with women to actually make any money by serving us. He finally acknowledged us and closed out our tab but only because it was now last call for drinks. I guess the owner of this establishment supports his staff being drunk on the job. Yeah, this place is a dump. read more

So we sat at some table by the pool table and he came over a couple times and said oh you two need to make donations of $100 for my dental work. This guy was an ASSHOLE. Then when I went up to pay the bill for two beers he gave my a pile of napkins and im like what is this? So he says read it.. It said "Call me" 9 1 1 I was like this is fucked up and paid the $11 for the beers with NO TIP! The whole vibe there was just weird. Because I have a image to keep with you Yelpers, I won't give this place a overly fluffed-up review because I'm pals with the bartender. It would be unfair to my Yelp community. The Yelp dynamic. Anyway, but I can say this. They got Stella on tap (that's so-so to me, but I think other people go insane for that beer) and they have a pool table, dart board and a jukebox. Ambiance: think mini-mall tavern. People: think mini-mall tavern in Northridge. I'm sure there are a bunch of Fox Racing stickers on the trucks in the parking lot, if you know what I'm saying. Literally: they could have filmed a Married with Children bar scene here. But if you're tired of liberal Hollywood and you feel like driving 20 miles to get lost in conservative Northridge for a sweet change of pace, this is the ideal spot. The Beers & Tears Heart-Broke Man Tour. Night Two. I've been driven-out into the night once more by a wild desire, a manic sorrow, a broken heart. And it has lead me here.... It is sometime after midnight and I'm beat. Too many sleepless nights, followed by too many ten hour days at work. This heart-broke old Banzai is starting to feel his age. And then some. A take-out order from Denny'sfinds me in the same parking lot as Lee's. Curiosity and an unquenchable thirst for liver damage draws me in. A big fellow with a Raiders' tattoo stands out in front having an intense conversation with his cell phone. We make eye contact and he quickly turns away. I can only guess he is not the door guy as I let myself in. Loud hip-hop music and a rat-pack of locals greet me upon entrance. A big bald guy in a Raiders' jersey is trying to get a lovely young seniorita to go home with him. Her friend loudly and furiously cock-blocks his best efforts while his friends just stand and stare with smiles on their faces. I make my way around their wild rucous and the pool tables to find a perfect spot at the bar. "Someone sitting here?" I ask the wilely-eyed hawaiian-shirt wearing bar tender. I gesture with two fingers at the half-glass of hef slowly going warm in front of me. The yellow slice of lemon wedge floating in the hef bobs around like an idiot's smile. "You are." The bar tender gives me a slick smile and a wink. I read him as easily as he reads me. He is a professional, adept in the fine art of slinging booze and making quick witted B.S. remarks. Me, I'm as blue as a Patsy Cline song, and an easy mark for a fat tip. I order a Guinness, cause a broken-hearted Banzai needs his strength. I enjoy my pint in the silent seclusion of my own thoughts and the sad memories of good times gone forever now. It doesn't last long. My pint quickly emptys and the hip-hop starts to give me a headache. Its time to go, and I don't really want my dine-out Denny's dinner to turn cold. I slide off the bar stool and slap a $5 tip down on a $6 drink. Then wander my way on out of Lee's and back out to the embrace of another lonely night...... read more

I'm glad I've waited to review Lee's. I think if you go with a handful of friends, leave the attitude at home, and enjoy some cheap pitchers of beer (under $10), you'll have a fantastic time at Lee's. It's a dive bar (and a valley dive) so expect that. It's 100% casual and I've never had a problem with anyone/anything there and the bartenders make the drinks strong as hell and are friendly (in a valley dive sort of way). Nice guy and gets your order correct. He is awesome, on point, and never has fucked up my tab once. Saturday night bartender = Tommy. Maybe it's really loud in there, or maybe he is poor of hearing. But he gets drink orders wrong (tale tell sign of a shitty bartender). Also, he doesn't understand (or refuses to practice) the laws of basic arithmetic- addition in particular.... he always fucks up my tab. Like, he can't count and add or something. Tommy, maybe you should buy a calculator? And have Mike be your Jedi Master in learning the art of mixology... I have a friend that works there so he bought me a round or 2, the pitchers have fancy keep-em-cold ice monuments that take about a beer away from a full pitcher, but still a good deal (especially when you're getting 'em free). And a good idea, sometimes you get pretty caught up in darts or conversations or smoking your cigarettes outside.
