It was my first time here. I was so excited to attend the brunch/mariachi event. Let me start off by saying the mariachi is great! On the other hand the brunch was no good! I arrived around noon and they had already run out of certain foods. The bad part was that they weren't being replaced! The bowls just sat there empty. The food area was a mess. This location initially caught our attention with the wonderful live mariachi. The setting was gorgeous as well with a lot of plants, aesthetic lighting, and artwork. We strolled along The Collection (which is the shopping center where this restaurant is located) and had to check it out. We arrived just in time for happy hour which is daily from 3-6pm. Their menu was inviting with options for vegetarian & gluten free diets. It's also full of variety with something for every one. I went with the "Veggie Bowl" which let me tell you, was so rich in flavor. I usually have to go with the crummy vegan options in most places like this but I was so pleased with this dish. Honestly I shared with everyone just so they could see I was not exaggerating on how delicious it was. My friends went with the mushroom pizza and a taco plate. They were pleased with their plates and agreed on returning here! Oh! Almost forgot.. Our service was outstanding. Had a great experience here. A fun atmosphere, strong drinks, and Sherice was a pro. I had the pulled pork and a bloody mary, both excellent. Wifee had a salad that she said was the "best ever". The pretzel sticks had this cheese sauce...omigod. We will definitely be coming back. read more

Started off not so great of a Visit, We we're great but Security who we're not so friendly & a host who didn't have much personality. When we were sat at our booth we had some issues with our Drinks. We asked to speak to the manager & Troy came by and let me tell you, if you want to hear someone treat you with respect & compassion talk to him. He was beyond the sweetest Manager I have ever had to deal with, he got us new drinks within seconds and had us laughing. At the end of the visit we left full & with a buzz and had a great time. We watched security on two occasions let white people in without charging while they made the Hispanics feel like second class citizens. I was at Copper Blues the other night and had a fabulous time. Two people really made our experience top notch. 1st Julie makes the best drinks no matter how complicated we got! Haven't had a good bartender in a while, plus she was very pleasant! Then there was Tina, what a breath of fresh air. She answered any and all questions we had, The Filet Mignon Street Tacos was an excellent recommendation as a starter!! We will be back thanks to these 2 ladies! The staff of this place act like they are too cool to give good service. I've been two this place twice and I think that is enough to form an honest opinion. The first time was for lunch which was ok but nothing worth remembering. They service staff would not serve me alcohol because I had a US Passport and not a CA ID, (I had left it at home). Thought that was very strange. This last time I went there was two days ago. Went there for early appetizer and drinks. No one came to great us someone yelled across the bar sit where you want, so we did, only to have no one come and take orders. So we went up to the bartender order our over priced watered down drinks. Later in the evening I stopped by one more time to just give a quick hello to some friends. The guy at the door said you can't come in because you are wearing sandals. Yet I was in there earlier no one said anything, it wasn't stated on the dress code posted on the door, and there were a bunch of girls with sandals on. Went to copper Blues for the first time with a lovely lady. Had a decent artichoke appetizer, but went down hill from there. We both don't drink so we ordered diet cokes. They charged us fir a refill each, my dates said was inedible (wilted and disgusting), my margarita pizza was very bland. We are the pizza by adding the artichoke dip. I wanted sone water at the end and was informed they do not provide water and you just purchase $5 bottles of water. The nice waitress explained this is the owners/mgmt policy. She explained that since they are a "music venue" they go not provide tap water unless you are inebriated. When we were leaving the music was starting and sounded pretty good. With all the other options in the Collection, I suggest anywhere else. read more

Ambiance is key! Went in on the second of opening around 3pm, got seated immediately. Our server (can't remember her name) was great. Very informative about the establishment! For being on tap, the Moscow mule was good (happy hour 3-6pm every day). Ordered the lobster mac&cheese, a burger and fries. Food was okay, but the once again, the ambiance made up for it. It has a very DTLA contemporary feeling with a lot of copper accents. Yardhouse will finally have some friendly competition. Will be going back soon! read more

Copper Blues has been a great addition to the collection. It's a barge, open space. Though the drinks are overpriced, a beer and a watermelon martini cost $18, the watermelon martini was incredible. The food is good and the vibe is cool. Real potted plants hang from the ceiling with vintage lightbulbs. There's a shuffleboard indoors, long communal tables, and a nice outdoor space with heat lamps. It can get a little crowded on a Friday or Saturday night, but nothing beyond expected. Perfect for a pregame before the next door levity live comedy show or for its own night out. read more

They said to push 9 to speak to someone. Then it told me that the voicemail was nat able to take any messages. I was concerned, but figured if it's open to 11, the kitchen shouldn't be an issue. We showed up. Police were all around, though no one seemed to be an issue. We said we wanted dinner, and they said they were only serving happy hour. Some small player that looked pretty pathetic. I told them that I had tried to call so I could find out if the kitchen was open. They said "Yeah, our phone's not working. This place is located right next door to the Levity Comedy venue and part of The Connection outside mall off the 101 fwy. I have been here several times and each time I really enjoyed it. The food is decent. They have a great meatball appetizer we always get. What I like the most is the live music they offer here. From rock to salsa music. Sunday is specifically salsa music starting around 6 pm. On other nights it varies and mostly starts at 9pm. I once saw a led zeppelin tribute band here. To sum it up, it's a great place to eat and hear great live music. Great set up. A place I will keep coming back to. read more

She made the worst tasting Moscow mule I've ever had, it tasted like soap and old lemon juice, then she had the audacity to have a bad attitude when my fiance asked for something else. I came here with my girlfriends to grab a bite to eat after Paint and Wine night across the street. It was really convenient and the live music sounded good from the street. There was no host at 8pm which was odd, but we luckily found a seat pretty quickly. It was clear that they were short staffed that night and our server was slow, but she was super nice. Our food was okay- there were a few mistakes with our order which was frustrating, but our server was happy to fix them and she even gave us a free dessert and a free drink to help make up for the mistakes. The Moscow Mule was the highlight of that whole meal for me! It was spicy, delicious, and easily one of the best mules I've ever had! After dinner, we decided to hit the dance floor for a bit. The 4 stars is mostly because of the amazing bartender, Craig, who gave us EXCELLENT service for the duration of the night at the bar by the dance floor. He went way above and beyond to make my Bachelorette night out SO MUCH FUN!! I'll never forget the amazing service he gave us! The band that played that night was good, and the dj played awesome music! We planned on dancing to a few songs and then leaving, but ended up staying for hours! I walked up to get a plate to serve myself. My played and dishes were wet and dirty. That's already a bad experience. The food was cold and some of them were hard. Serve is terrible because they don't even go to you and ask if you need anything. It was just a dirty place in general. I had coffee and it was cold when they served it to me. Finally got a chance to check this place out for happy hour from 3-6pm. The happy hour discount is a few dollars off some appetizers, beer, and cocktails. My Sancho & I went to have a few drinks before our comedy show started. We ordered a few appetizers including chicken pizza, ahi tacos, and pretzel sticks. Our waitress provided excellent service. The pretzels came with 3 sticks that were delish & real bready if that makes sense to you bread fiends. They were hot, soft, and the cheese dipping sauce was equally tantalizing. The ahi tacos were yummy on crispy wonton wrappers, refreshing but the guacamole was artificial and pasty. The chicken pizza had a light airy crust yummo but wtf was up with the thin sliced lunch meat chicken cut up on it. I expected chunks of cubed chicken. Our drinks were made to perfection. Strawberry fields good but strawberry garish was sour, dip it in sugar if you have to bartender! We also had mudslide shots, bomb, it was like a dessert in your mouth. After the comedy we returned at about 9pm, it was loud AF! A metal band was playing. I would have been ok with the band if I still could have had a conversation with Sancho but I guess that is what metal music is. We had one more drink then left. From down the street we could hear a fabulous guitar solo so we decided to take a chance and went in. The band was called Los Amigos and the lead guitarist was amazing. Heard it wasn't their regular lead guitarist which was hard to believe because he was so good. The venue was fun and had lots of space with large rolling windows open so we didn't feel too crowded or hot. Service was good. Drinks were delicious. Took off a star because the menu needed more options like BBQ and gluten free choices. We will be back when that band plays again. read more

Was here Saturday night around 8:30p. Fairly busy. Came to watch a cover band play. Got lucky and found a seat after some people left, so only stood up for about 10 minutes. From my understanding, they only serve pizza/flatbread after 9p, so you don't have much of a choice if you want to eat something. Our waitress was fairly on top of things, considering how busy it was. Had the roasted beet salad- thought it was fine, but a bit pricey. You can add a protein, but costs on average another $4-$5 to add it on the already $11 base salad. You can use the axxess card here. read more
