Excellent coffee shop I'm so glad we came upon! The vibe is modern with a flair of retro in an authentic way, rather than overtly hipster. The barista and lady taking our order were kind and took COVID seriously. The coffee is excellent (the Answer drip) and I cannot rave enough about the snacks. We got a blueberry almond scone that's phenomenal. The standout, though, is the Cheap Trick toast with vegan ricotta--delectable, interesting, and each bite was exciting. read more

First of all, this place is SUPER cute and vintage-y. I was charmed by it the second I walked in. Secondly, they had great vegan options. I got the "charmed I'm sure" which was almond ricotta, plums from Palisade, almonds and a brown sugar syrup on their specialty bread. It was DELICIOUS. I also got their chaider - chai and apple cider. It was good, a little different than my usual latte order when I go to coffee shops, but it was good. We went there for coffee and breakfast this morning. We travel a lot and are always looking for good coffee and this place more than delivered. We asked for a cappuccino, and they immediately asked if we wanted the cappuccino wet or dry - we haven't been asked that in a long time. The wet cappuccino was perfect, as was the cortado, which can be fussy to do well, since there's little room for error - if you start with poor espresso it can't be hidden. They sell Cat and Cloud coffee, one of our favorites from Santa Cruz. We also had the avocado smash toast - it was presented in a very creative fashion, and was really really tasty as was a poppy seed scone we couldn't resist. If you are a fan of really good espresso-based drinks, stop by. The space itself is really interesting and worth spending some time. Highly recommended, if you like good coffee well prepared. read more

I was not impressed all that much. They only had 3 flavors to choose from for my drink. I ordered a hot chocolate that came luke warm and no chocolate. Basically like drinking warm milk. However the biscuits and gravy were the bomb. I suggest you skip the drinks at this place (my wife's was cold too) and just get the biscuits and gravy. read more

I came here with my boyfriend the other weekend to get some coffee to go. The place was cute and coffee was a bit overpriced but delicious. I decided to come back myself a few days later and ordered coffee and a snack to have there. It was late morning on a weekday and the place wasn't crowded. I sat at a table with 4 chairs and was kind of rudely asked/told to move to save that table for a larger party. I moved to the first smaller table I saw which was a small desk with one chair and it ended up not being the experience I had hoped for. I saw another review by someone who had a similar experience. I'm not sure why they ask guests to move but it's kind of rude. It was a 4-top, not an 8-top, and the place wasn't busy. Why not have assigned seating or a sign that politely says to reserve tables for larger parties? Being told to move is embarrassing and makes guests feel unwelcome. read more

What a great little shop. The owners are nice and the atmosphere is quirky and comfortable, like you're at someone's retro-decorated house. My only complaint is that of the three drinks we ordered during our visit, two were made incorrectly. My order was right but the coffee tasted incredibly bitter. By then I just wanted to get going, so I doctored it up with sugar. I hope that the gentleman who is running the espresso machine figures it all out soon. First of all, since we are talking coffee ... 10/10 and I will end my review with just that - coffee rating. I love the ambience of Copeka. I love how they have made the absolute best use of natural light. It doesn't feel like a dark nor does it feel too sterile - you know what I'm talking about - those minimalist places that are all white, with horrible lighting, uncomfortable seating. I love it's quirky retro vibe; I could spent tonnes of time admiring the collection of random art, and nicknacks. Especially the fully functional old school typewriter. There are games and puzzles; from my observations it seems like there's a community puzzle going on and plenty of other tables and puzzles to work on alone or with friends. They have a wide variety of seating options - big tables, small tables, little tables in between comfy chairs to set your coffee and tea. In addition to their collections of games and puzzles they have books too! I've only been a handful of times and I feel like still have so much to experience and discover. If none of these first impressions are your cup of tea or pique your interests enough to delve further into the shoppe, at least stop at the counter and give their coffee and tea a chance. I haven't had a chance to eat any of their homemade eats. The vegan breakfast burrito is calling my name. Everything looks absolutely amazing. If you don't know why to try first and you're feeling adventurous looking for something that's not a grande vanilla soy latte try the Liquid Gold 10/10 would recommend. The only thing I don't like is the price of their drinks. But you pay for what you get literally (coffee) and in general (the atmosphere). Be prepared to pay $5-$6 on a coffee you would spend $3 on. I am becoming a loyal customer and predict to remain so. I hope lots of other coffee lovers finds this new gem and loves it just as much. read more

I was at Copeka coffee on May 2nd. They had great music, and a good atmosphere. Decided I would go back to study, and have coffee and breakfast. Well that was my mistake! I got seated at a table next to the dirty dishes up front. At that point I felt like a second class citizen. When some other customers left I wanted to move, but was stopped from moving because they were saving that table for a bigger group. I understood this, but the day before a single person was seated at that same table, and they said nothing to him! Really made me feel unwelcomed at that point. The coffee was good, not fantastic. The bisquit on the biscuits and gravy was dry and heavy. Good gravy, but bisquit was horrible! I brought this up to manager, and she acted like she could care less! I had only been there twice, and will not be back. Couldn't believe they really don't care about keeping someone that could be a regular! I wish you the best of luck! Pretentious at best! read more
