    Chicken strip
    Rusty V.

This place has odd hours. We tried to eat here 3 times and they were finally open today. Staff was nice the good was coooed to order. We get chicken strips and liver. The strips are run of the mill frozen and so are the frys. The liver was also frozen and they over cooked it. It was good but a little to salty for my taste. Mine came with mashed potatoes they were instant potatoes they were good for instant and coleslaw but I chose to get macaroni and cheese mac & cheese only and cheese was very bland and had no flavor. I got a lemonaide that was very good and my wife got a Heath bar flurry that was also good.

Soup, sandwich and ice cream. Really good food. Best pricing. Local, not a chain. Service that's worth tipping.

Holy smokaly... Red on Main was an absolute party in your mouth and everyone in Madison was invited…read more(insert big-eyes emoji). RoM was simply outstanding... I stopped in for dinner with coworkers while in town, based on a recommendation from our hotel staff. Glad we listened, because this place was far and wide the best meal I've had in Madison. The restaurant is small and quaint, but has both a Midwest & Southern-touch feel to it; they serve American-French fusion cuisine with a hint of creole... Lots of choices from creole-inspired appetizers to salads, steaks, seafood, and pastas. I ordered the Caesar salad and seared halibut, which were both out of this world. For the quality of the food and the level of customer service (our server Samantha was excellent), RoM is very well priced... While it wasn't cheap, this fine meal was worth every penny ($60 w/ tip for dinner). I've been to many restaurants in Madison over the few years I've been coming down here for work, and RoM is unquestionably my favorite of them all... I will definitely be back and certainly recommend you stop in if you're look for a spectacular elevated dining experience when in Madison.

Sweet restaurant downtown Madison perfect for lunch! We arrived close to the end of their lunch…read morerush with 10 adults and a baby- a tall order. The inside was full but the restaurant is deceivingly large inside and they had us seated in under 10 minutes. Took drink orders quickly and got the drinks out even quicker. The lunch menu is small but covers everything. Our food for all 10 people came out at the same time and in only about 15 minutes. I was super impressed. Sandwiches were pretty greasy and lacked fresh/crunchy elements but we all enjoyed quite a bit as we were hungry from a hike at Clifty Falls. My turkey pita press was heavy on the chipotle mayo/melted cheese/bacon and slid apart but the portion was generous and it was as advertised. Service was amazing and I'd highly recommend to hungry tourists like us! They are working with a tight space and are doing an amazing job accommodating everyone and turning out quick and quality food.

Rodney's is a genteel bar/eatery in a restored house with an upmarket seafood & steak menu, plus outdoor seating. For our opening course, we tried the Sea Divers Scallops. These were tandoori-rubbed and served with a sweet Thai chili sauce. The scallops had a good sear and a slight crunch, with the tandoori rub offering a mild, earthy kick and a hint of chili powder flavor. The scallop was light and melted in your mouth. The Thai chili sauce added a sweet heat combo that complemented the scallops perfectly. We then shared the Lobster Bisque, which our server recommended. The bisque was very creamy, with a slightly thicker, velvety texture than typical bisques. It was so creamy that it almost tasted like it had cheese in it, which it did not. It had a salty, slightly paprika-spiced flavor, while the sherry added a slight nutty note. This was an excellent dish and worth the drive itself. For my main course, I ordered the Lamb Chops. They were char-grilled with roasted garlic mint demi-glace and the Potato de jur, which is smoked Gouda au gratin. My lamb was spot-on medium-rare; however, the char was a little hard and bitter, especially on the edges. This was present in most bites. The mint sauce added a touch of sweetness and depth to the meat's flavor. The potatoes were cooked through and offered a slight chew. The Gouda was creamy and nutty, pairing well with the potatoes, though it needed a bit more seasoning. My wife chose the Filet for her main course. She ordered it medium rare with Weisenberger white cheddar grits and green peppercorn cream sauce. Her grits were cooked well and not overdone; the cheddar was only topped on the dish and not melted into it, but it did offer a sharp bite. We both found them to be bland and in need of seasoning. The peppercorn sauce was creamy, with the onions adding texture, crunch, and a slight sweetness, while the peppercorns popped with flavor and mild heat. The steak was seasoned and cooked to a perfect medium rare; it melted in your mouth. However, the hard char on the edges added a heavy, bitter flavor to most bites. Rodney's menu features appetizers, soups, salads, prime beef selections, entrees, side dishes, and desserts. They offer a full bar with beer and soda selections. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and will offer suggestions and advice. The Fat Man says that Rodney's on Broadway is Fat Man Approved with 2 chins.

Our server was truly phenomenal - gave great recommendations, was honest, helped steer us, and took great care of our party of 5. The food was five stars across the board. Some dishes were absolutely our favorites, but there was nothing that we didn't like. The short rib and seafood special were top entrees, and the churro sundae was the best dessert (plus the cold brew ice cream omg). The cauliflower was an awesome starter and we devoured it. The bourbon beet cocktail was unique and a stunner. I could have drank 4 of them, they were so impressive. Overall, the property is beautiful, there's a trail that you can walk (super cool lighting too), it's nice and quiet and peaceful. Everyone is friendly. The food and drinks are amazing. I wanted to start with a "thank you" to the owners of the this business for the many many people…read moreyou served and feed on the night of April 2nd! I don't see any other yelpers on here commending you for the selflessness the staff exhibited that evening, and didn't expect them to as I felt quite embarrassed with the ungrateful attitudes displayed in the moment giving the fact it was being provided free of charge.....for that Ill say "I'm sorry I didn't express those thoughts in the moment!" It was a scary situation so I was just like your business being thoughtful and considerate everyone and really I was just happy to be safe with my child after the storm nearly hit us directly.... Now that the power was out myself and the community where into the 5-6 hour mark without electric and the thoughts of food and what todo about preparing it were a real issue on most neighbors minds. As I checked on some of the fellow powerless, storm survivors they proceeded to inform me of this restaurant in Eminence, named Puckett's had power and that they were taking orders for those in our area who had no power, not only that but they would deliver it to us, and to top it off, that it would be free of charge!! Now Understand Im lived here most of my life and have worked iin several industries including the food service one, I must say after living thru 2 hurricanes in Florida, (Matthew,Irma) I had never personally heard or experienced anything of the sorts....again thank you....and I must admit i haven't eaten at your place before or after....but that's not because of your service or food, but the intent to is there....as i write this Cant help but say thank you again.....now as I found this out thru the next door neighbor, they told me that they were about to place a order, and my daughter had ran my phone down so they said we will just let em know you are ordering with us....I am still feeling somewhat lost to the idea of what Im hearing but we order.....I really was needing a cold drink and got something for my lil one think it was a grilled cheese, and i got a taco salad.....we finished the order and was told it maybe some time but they would be there.....that they were filling a lot of orders for my community just be patient.....it was about a hour and a half after the order was placed but that's not important as they were already taking care of the others in my community that i noticed as early as 6:30 7ish pm.....then the call came in telling us that our order was in route i say about 9ish or so......and to please meet the driver outside to help process the orders little quicker... and within 5 min thats what was happening as they arrived just as the fire department was stopping in to inform and check on the members of my Community so it was awesome lick the light leading the way thanks to the fire dept as well told us to stay in place....but here is Pucketts and the food, to say I was emotional would be a understatement.....and i know me and my lil girl didn't worry about eating the remander of what was a very long and sleepless night....i just want to sat that ill never not think about the care exhibited by a family owned business called Puckett's whenever my power goes out from a storm ,or when i think about a taco salad..... as it was a true hero moment for so many of us ...And if the care for others isnt enough to show you they strive to provide the best results in all aspects of their operation then you are not interested in a great experience but addicted to the heartless fast food industry that wants to charge you for the sauce that should come with the meal.....Give Puckett's A look and taste and see heros at work!! ps they were delivering food till around 12am the 3rdf from what I observed for free....sorry mcd's is closing the window at closing no matter the what is happening, and without that receipts you be a paying no offence, just sayin Thanks again and i hope this review is rewarding in someway as the cold Dr.Pepper/Taco Salad ,Grilled Cheese was for Me and My Daughter!!
