Chili cheese footlong
Danielle N.

We had to try shells just to say we did. This was the fourth or fifth time trying to eat here and we finally succeeded. I got the foot long chili cheese dog and a thing of loaded crinkle cut french fries. They had cheese and bacon on top. My husband got a burger. The best thing we got was my loaded crinkle cut fries. They were super hot and super crunchy. The footlong dog was ok, you could tell it had been sitting in boiling water for a while. And my husband asked for a plain double bacon cheeseburger and it came with everything on it. Overall an ok place that's local and better than fast food.

50's deco is done up right. Reasonably price and delicious food. We had the Cheese hoagie and chicken wrap with cheese fries. Everything done up well. Also don't forget to get ice cream in one of the specialty dipped cones

First time stopping by and we both got small Hurricanes. They were overflowing from the cup. Way better than Dairy Queen.

Great food and a good atmosphere. Been here a handful of times, most recently over the weekend…read more Always have a wonderful experience when we go here. We started with the sauer kraut balls, pretzel with beer cheese, and pickle fries. All were delicious! The pickle fries have a great pickle to breading ratio, will gladly order these again! I went full toddler and ordered the chicken tenders and fries, they were exactly what I wanted and were a generous portion.

Some of the booths are German style, giving you a European feel. Madison, our server, was friendly and attentive. The servers know the regulars by name and welcome them warmly. We sat in a booth near the kitchen and could hear a lot of laughter coming from the cooks in the back. The place is jovial. We ordered the Chicken Dinner for Two ($32) which includes about 10 pieces of fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and choice of salad or slaw. This was a massive amount of food and could easily feed a family of four. The coleslaw was delicious, the best I've had in a while. The slaw was creamy and tart (not too sweet). The hand-breaded chicken is a winner in my book. The breading is crispy with lots of seasoning, especially pepper. The chicken is hot, moist and tender - perfectly cooked. This is some of the best fried chicken in the State. The potatoes and gravy are an indulgent treat for me. Yes, I had seconds. The green beans are cooked with bacon, yet light. My husband really liked the beans. We took half the meal home for dinner. The menu is German- themed, combined with traditional Hoosier classics. The Tenderlojn sandwich they serve put them on Indiana's Tenderloin Trail. I wanted to try the sauerkraut balls and pretzels, but I was too full. There is free street parking. There are tv monitors to watch the games at the small ball. Brau Haus is totally worth a visit.

Tough decisions as everything looked and smelled so very good!! Fried pickles were great and had a fantastic garlic mayo sauce!! Green beans just like mamaw's!! Chunks of ham! The building is beautiful as is the interior. There are lots of little rooms and the tables are pretty tight. It was a bit difficult for wait staff to get around, but the service was still attentive. Two of us ordered the Pork Tenderloin Sandwich w/ fries. That darn sandwich was delicious!! It was sticky as all get out, but it was delicious! I'll apologize now; my pic is so blurry I hesitate to post it, but I'm going to anyway. The other person having the Pork Tenderloin also enjoyed it. Mark ordered the Kentucky Hot Brown. He said it was loaded with ham and it was salty. He finished every bite, but he did say he wouldn't order it again. One person loved her Cod (she didn't eat the bread) and another said the shrimp and grits were very good. The menu has lots of options. I mentioned we would be happy to come back sometime for dinner. We bought some chocolate cookies (they are by the hostess podium) on the way out. They had a nice chocolate and salt flavor, but should have had more chips.

We aren't even tempted to have Chicken anywhere else. Because we know it won't measure up. This place gets packed at lunch and again around 4:15-5:00 each day. So go early if you can. Britney is the owner and a great person. You will find her there at many times of the day. She pitches in where needed and helps to keep it flowing when it gets busy. And then the jewels of this restaurant and bar is the staff. The Bartenders and servers are all over the place making sure customers are taken care of and checking in often to give the best customer service possible. All of them make us and everyone that walks through the door feel special. You can also order takeout. But the experience of just being there is worth it. The kitchen is ran like a well oiled machine. They stay busy not only frying chicken but all the other wonderful menu items you will find. We can't not have their heavy peppered fried chicken, mashed potatoes and the best gravy too. Thank you for the opportunity to write this review.
