I felt very good about taking my car to Cool Runnings. Great service and value and I will definitely be returning.

One of the best experiences i've ever had a car repair shop. Fast. GREAT pricing. Never got the feeling I was getting taken advantage of.

Cool Runnings has recently been taken over by Vincent. He learned from Jeff, the original owner who was absolutely great. Being a female, it's always sketchy trusting auto (and other repairs places), but Vincent is honest, does the work required in a timely way and truly goes above and beyond. I found Cool Runnings several years ago from a Next Door Network flood of recommendations and I haven't been disappointed. read more

We recently relocated to Palm Desert and initially thought servicing our vehicles would require a drive to Huntington Beach. Fortunately, we discovered Vicente at Cool Runnings Auto Repair in Bermuda Dunes. For over 30 years, we've relied on our trusted mechanic, known for terminating those who attempted to inflate charges for personal gain. His integrity and dedication to his craft have been unwavering. We were apprehensive about finding another honest mechanic who could match his level of service--someone who takes the time to explain repairs, presents options, and prepares us for upcoming maintenance needs. However, after an extensive search, bolstered by glowing referrals and numerous inquiries, we chose Cool Runnings Auto Repair & Diagnostics, and we couldn't be happier with our decision. The owner not only runs but also personally manages the business. The shop is impeccably clean and organized, with a commitment to punctuality and thoroughness. Vicente consistently seeks ways to save you money while prioritizing safety above all else. If you are in search of a trustworthy mechanic for your vehicle's maintenance, diagnostics, or repairs, I highly recommend giving Cool Runnings Auto Repair a try. Experience their exceptional service for yourself--you won't regret it. I will absolutely be recommending to all my neighbors and clients. Vincent is the man at Cool Runnings Auto Repair. Honest (honestly!), integrity, knows the business. Very considerate and up front. The maintenance he provides is outstanding. Repairs are efficient, timely, and explained in detail, with options. And reasonable; which is rare these days. read more

Cool Runnings does a great job with all my vehicles. The last service was done under estimated cost. When a local dealer quoted me one hour of labor for a headlamp diagnosis and an hour of labor for part replacement (which sounded like a very high over estimate), Vincent completed the service in under one hour. read more

Support a local business! We've been going to this shop for years, always exceptional service and fair pricing. The new owner Victor is great! Wonderful communication and incredibly helpful! read more

Jeff and his crew took such good care of us when our car broke down while we were on vacation. Life savers!

Last year, I had my brakes replaced on my Altima 2015. Rotors and pads, cost close to $950. I noticed that scratching crunching noise and called Jeff at shop. Brought it in and he replaced everything. Said the problem was water in the brake caliper and stopped it from working properly. Basically calipers in a position that just ground down the rotor. He said he had seen it with all the rain this year. Replaced, no charge. I was so shocked and extremely happy. What a great place to really care about their customers. I won't take my car any other place. Honest, great service. Thank you. read more

I took my truck in for new Shocks. I was quoted a price far below other companies. Later that day I rec'd a call from the owner Jeff who said my current Shocks looked good. I checked, and they had been replaced over a year ago. (I wonder how many other companies would have gone ahead and replaced them) Every previous job Cool Running has done for me has been excellent also. Their honestly is truly amazing. John O read more

Cool Runnings Auto Repair - My '96 F-250 - Auto Repair Near Me - Bermuda Dunes, California

We have used Jeff at Cool Running for many years. We just had our Honda serviced and was very impressed with the repairs done promptly and always a reasonable price. The best thing about Cool running is that they do only what repairs are necessary-a very HONEST mechanic read more

My daughter was told she needed a new alternator by a local repair shop. I told her to get a second opinion. She went to cool running auto repair. After spending a few minutes she was told the battery cables were not tightened properly. This guy is HONEST and has earned my families business. Thank you. read more

No problem the owner is a nice guy, and prices are more reasonable than some of the other shops. However I learned a long time ago there are real mechanics and then there are parts installers, Jeff would fall into the second category. My bill came out to around 900, over the work and parts installed. 2 days later the car had serious issues that had not been discussed or noted on the bill. My guess is they are short handed now, they can pick out the obvious stuff, "oh your brakes need replacing" or "the steering fluid is leaking". Don't come here for an overview of what's happening and what need fixing or replacement, rather they'll find the obvious stuff and skip over far more serious issues. Big advice especially if your car is not a typical Ford, Chevy or Toyota. Don't waste your time or money at Cool Runnings. read more

I needed an oil change and my left turn signal light replaced. I made an appointment and was able to get my vehicle in promptly. This is definitely going to be my 'go-to' place for auto care. Oil change and light replacement took less than 30 minutes and cost less than $50. Awesome!! read more

Jeff is an awesome mechanic who is always honest and professional. I took my car to get brakes and and oil change. The brakes were the wrong ones for my car (I ordered prior to going in) and Jeff didn't charge me anything extra. Just the quick oil change and told me to come back when I have the right parts. Won't go anywhere else for my services now. read more

Just had my air conditioning fixed today the boys was fantastic I would highly recommend very professional

We've been bringing our fleet (7 trucks) and our personal vehicles to Jeff for about ten years. We had started using them because it was close to our shop (just before he bought Cool Runnings, and he was working for the prior owner). We were impressed then, and we are still impressed all these years later. We've been with him now for ten years. We TRUST him because he's HONEST. He gives us a fair assessment (a few of our trucks are ancient) and what he fixes, seems to stay fixed! He's honest if he thinks we shouldn't bother sinking money into a certain vehicle and frequently gives us some kind of a less expensive solution around the problem, always leaving the choice to us. The shop is clean, his attitude is great - he's just the mechanic everybody wishes they knew. I can't speak highly enough of him and the work he does. read more

Completely unprofessional. Jeff hung up on me and told me to just to go somewhere else. Untrustworthy and completely inept on customer service or professionalism. read more

Great job Professional. Knew the car and the bill was 1/10th of what I thought. Highly recommend. Very honorable

I've been going to Jeff at Cool Runnings since he bought the place, years ago. I have found him consistently honest and his repair work has been excellent. He will flat out tell you if you don't need to have something done; what mechanic does that these days?! He'll also give you a heads up if he thinks your vehicle may need something done in the upcoming months, so you can plan for it. I trust Jeff to be fair in his pricing and to take good care of my car. He's also pleasant to deal with. What more could you ask for? read more

Awesome place. Honest hardworking crew. Jeff treats all like family. Only place I take my vehicles to. If you need any type of mechanic work done this is the place. read more

Honest, fair, reliable. So thankful to have found Jeff at Cool Runnings.

I wanted to take the time to write as I was extremely pleased with the service I received at Cool Runnings in Bermuda Dunes. My alternator needed replacing and Jeff determined that the one in my Chrysler was still under warranty. I dropped my car off shortly after 8 am and I think it was ready to drive by noon! In addition, the day prior I called Jeff no less than three times. He himself answered the phone and patiently listened and answered all questions. I appreciate his honesty and I too will take my car here for maintenance in the future. I am encouraging my family and friends to do the same! Thanks Jeff and staff! read more
