I recently visited encore automotive at the suggestion of a friend who is a longtime customer of theirs. A couple of months ago, I had them service a 2007 Mazda Miata that I had just bought. I also asked them to inspect the vehicle to see if any other maintenance was needed. They did the service very quickly and efficiently, and they told me that there was no service needed beyond normal maintenance. I was thoroughly satisfied with the attention to detail and the work that they did. Last week, I took my wife's RX 350 in for routine maintenance. I took my wife's Mazda 2017 6 for a routine oil change and I let Jim the service manager know that the Navigation/Entertainment system had been acting squirrely for a long time. Jim was able to get in the car and reset the system and all functions came back to life. This included the navigation/GPS system. Jim, Astrid, and Lucy are always very nice and answer any question I have. If you don't want to wait they have a shuttle which is driven by Diego, another pleasant employee of Encore automotive. He can drop you off and pick you up when your vehicle is ready. Besides the awesome staff and techs this place is honest and has the best prices. They call you if they encounter a problem and will only do things with your approval. What they quote is what you pay. They also have complimentary coffee and water. Never going to the dealer again. I am somewhat new to Indio, and I needed brakes for my car last week. With the pandemic and a shortage of staff at many of the regular chain automobile repair  businesses I normally go to for automobile repairs, I did not have much luck trying to find an automobile repair shop to get new brakes in a timely manner. So I decided to see if I could find a nearby independent neighborhood automobile repair business, by using Yelp. To make my search easy, when possible, I try to select businesses that have a 4 to 5 star rating first. I was surprised that Encore Automotive came up with a 5 star rating! After reading their current Yelp reviews,  I was very impressed! So I stopped in one day, and the sales associate (Diego Zamora) assisted me. Diego was very nice, friendly, and professional. He quickly provided me with a very reasonable quote to service and replace the brakes on my automobile. I really appreciate the fact that Diego talked with me like a good friend that was very knowledgeable about automobile repairs vs. one of those often cold and rushed automobile service associates at car dealerships and those chain automobile repair shops.  At that point I scheduled an appointment to bring my automobile in. On the day that I brought my automobile in for the brake service and new brakes, Diego helped me once again. Again, he provided me with wonderful and outstanding customer service! I greatly appreciate Diego's politeness, patience, and helpfulness. I wish more automobile repair business offered such great and AWESOME customer service! Upon picking my automobile up after the brake service was complete, all I can say is nothing but good and positive things about my entire experience and exceptional customer service at Encore Automotive (from the beginning to the very end)! I plan to tell all of my family and friends about Encore Automotive for their automobile repair needs. They certainly offer quality service and parts here, that seem to be cheaper than going to the dealership to have the exact same work done. How often do you see a review for a shop that couldn't fix your problems. But that's what I'm leaving here today. I have a 2013 Caddy that kept shutting down the ac due to high engine temperatures. They had to put in a few hours in trying to diagnose what was causing the problem. When all signs lead to the car's computer they called my to say they're not 100%sure but think it's the computer and it should go to the dealer. Why a 5 star review for something that didn't get fixed? Cause they didn't charge me anything.... No miscellaneous checks, no special charges to change out a bunch of things that wouldn't have fixed the issue but where they could pad a bill. By not being able to fix the problem they just gained my trust to send all my future repair work to them. read more

Based solely on reviews seen here, I tried out this service center to have fluids flushed and replaced in my 26 year old Toyota Pickup. Friendly, stellar service across the board! Having to wait, I was pleased to relax in their nice, clean, comfortable lobby. I was out of there in reasonable time, they took good care of my old truck, and their prices were exactly where they should be. The checklist of recommended future needed services was spot on, as I pay attention to these kinds of things. Upon paying my bill, I scheduled a new appointment for a different car. Did a great job lowering my Shelby Gt350. Was having trouble finding a reputable mechanic in the valley to do the job. They also found a leak in my rear shock. You won't get taken advantage of. I took my 2017 Ford F-150 thinking i needed new breaks and rotors cause of some break squeaking. After they looked at my vehicle I was told that my breaks are good. It was just the material of the break pads making the noise, sure they gave me some options to get rid of the squeaking but I opted not to since it wasn't necessary. read more

Took my Honda in for an oil change and routine maintenance. I was out in 45 minutes and far more reasonable the the awful Honda dealership. Made an appointment for tomorrow to have my other car checked out for a check engine light so we'll see how that goes. So far with one experience I'm a happy customer. Amazing place! I have a car that has been sitting in the garage for a while so one day in July when I needed to use it, I realized that the A/C was out. I called at 3:00 PM on a Friday afternoon and Astrid said they would look at it same day. I brought it in and after a short wait they told me it just needed freon; I am no car expert so I would have not know the difference between a freon recharge and needing a new compressor.
