I use Cookies N Clean for both the dog wash and the grooming services. The dog wash amenities have gotten better over the last few months. The water temperature is great and the blow dryer air is warm now! Before that was not the case and my dog froze. They offer plenty of shampoo and conditioner options in the dog wash along with ear wipes and coat spray after everything is done. A big shout out to groomer Danielle who has been there a long time...maybe since they opened. She has groomed two of our dogs and we continue to schedule only with her. One of our couldn't stand or walk and she was amazing with her. We will always trust Danielle with our dogs. There is also a great store full of dog toys, treats and supplies. They offer a variety of cute and creative dog cookies (at the counter) at a great price. I often get the fire hydrant cookie or poop-head cookie for my dog Carly. They have really cuty "Happy Birthday" decorated cookies as well! I recently discovered that they offer custom-order dog cakes. I haven't taken advantage of that yet! read more

My reason for booking initially was because I read that their groomers were patient and understanding. Via Apple Maps I called the establishment in Moon Valley, not realizing until day of that the number linked is actually the carefree location. Upon arriving on time in moon valley I was informed the appointment was for the other location. The woman was actually very nice and told me she would inform the other location that I was on my way. I rush to the other location, obviously now behind schedule BUT I had two appointments booked back to back so I assumed at the very least one dog could still receive grooming. Upon arrival I'm told that both appointments had been canceled and that she no longer had time for either. Their website mentions a late fee which I had no problem paying for but wasn't offered. Very caring, competent people. My dog is shy, to say the least, so they let me stand by her when she has her nails clipped. It takes me a long time to wash my huge German Shepherd and I love how patient the staff is with me. I'm never rushed out and the staff is always pleasant. I love how the bays have steps my dog can walk-in to get inside the tub without me having to lift her 100lb self! The temperature is right and the right amount of shampoo flows through the shower hose. There's a separate area to dry your dog where they can get dry by staying ground level or they can walk up to a shelf like area. Took a drive north to check out Cookies and Clean aka the Grooming Academy with Gaby the Affenpinscher girl. Wanted to try a different look on the Affen Girl so requested a Schnauzer cut this time. Felt ridiculous asking if her head shape would pull off the Look...but to their credit, none of the groomers laughed at me and instead gave an honest thumbs up. She looks adorable. They did an amazing job and her fluffy eyebrows are to die.for. I will do the same cut next time with a fuller body. Seventh Street and Thunderbird strip center is the one I went to (there are two)...shop next door at Safeway to get your groceries while you wait! Love these females creative talents! read more
