I take my dogs on a regular basis to Above and Beyond. I have for several years. I moved from Anthem but I still make a 45 minute drive to bring my dogs here. I am always impressed with the cleanliness and friendliness of this establishment. The way the shop is set up is it's open so you can always see your pet being groomed nothing is behind closed doors. It's very reassuring. Grooming skills are amazing. I request hand scissor finishing, they never charge extra for it. My dogs always look great. They also brush their teeth! For no extra charge! This place is amazing. I completely trust them with my pets. My dogs and I are grateful to have found this establishment. I won't go anywhere else. read more

Apparently this place has turned from great to shit Residents are showing before and after pictures of their pets. Some of the breeds don't look like they were done by a professional by any means. I've taken my two dogs to Above and Beyond three times now. After the first visit I wanted to give them a great review but thought I better wait to make sure it wasn't a fluke. I'm happy to report all three visits have been great. I have experienced exactly zero of the negativity another reviewer mentioned - the staff have been very friendly and accomodating. I think it must be a case of being nice to others if you want them to be nice to you. I've tried other groomers in Anthem and have found them to be overpriced and they didn't do as good a job. My dogs are always happy to go back, which I think shows they like the place too. Prices are reasonable and they always do exactly what I asked for. We moved to Anthem in 2001. I started taking my Chihuahua/Terrier mix to Above and Beyond Dog Grooming and continued with my Papillon in 2007 until her passing August 22, 2017. I've asked for Amanda the past 8 years or so and she has treated my Papillon with total respect. They tell me she is well behaved when being groomed. Amanda is very gentle with her and did a beautiful job. I just got two MaltiTzu (Maltese mix with Shih Tzu) 8 week puppies and they will definitely need grooming by November (4 months old). I moved to Peoria but I'm still making the drive to get the best grooming ever! read more

I took my dog to above and beyond. The first time they spent a few hours on my dog and she looked good when done. The last two times they spend less an hour and a half saying that this was full grooming and charging for it. Plus the last time her cut was crooked so I took her to a new groomer. I had to have my poodle cut down because the hair had looked fluffy but was matted under it all. The inside ears had not been done for at least two groomings. I am fuming and will never take my dog there again. My dog had been going every 6 to 7 weeks. read more

The price was a bit much for their capabilities but the time they took wasn't too bad if you can kill a few hours. They did cut my dog and not inform me though, I am very angry about this. She had an inch long cut right in her side and I cannot believe that they wouldn't let me know. I asked how everything went and they lied saying "it was perfect." The first time we brought our dog, a bichon frise to Above and Beyond, they did an okay job except for cutting his ears too short. The next time we brought him was the day before Thanksgiving; and when we picked him up he was unrecognizable. We had told them to leave his ears longer and to cut his body shorter but other than that to give him a traditional bichon cut. I don't even know what he looks like now but it does not look like our dog. They cut his face way down so that he looks like a lab. When I remarked about where his hair was, and about the cut, they completely ignored me and did not offer to refund my money. They charged a lot of money for grooming and as far as I am concerned-my six-year-old granddaughter could do a better job for nothing. There is no way I could ever go back there again because they simply do not care. They also did not pull his ear hair or cut his nails evenly. They seem to be in it's only for a buck read more

I am beyond happy with Above and Beyond! I brought my cat here this morning. Hes a 16 year old cat with a boney body and some arthritis. Other groomers had a really hard time with this and hed always come home with nicks and a very uneven haircut. He looks AMAZING! No nicks and his cut is even for a boney guy. He even got a bath which hes never gotten before from other companies. If i could give more than 5 stars i would. I will definitely be using them again and recommending them to everyone I know!
