Cook out style burger
Is S.

My wife is busy tearing someone a new one. Will see what happens to this review once it's all said and done! The drive-through is quick, I'll give them that. But they are making time at the expense of being organized. What a mess --Update: adding a star. As I was sitting in line I was looking at the previous reviews and wondered if the same kinds of things would happen to us. It turns out it did and so I made sure to check our order. We got the order from the car in front of us and they got ours, but the drinks were right. I went back up to the drive-through and they had no clue what happened, what I had, etc. Fortunately the lady in the other car walked up at the same time and we exchanged the food. When I got back to the car I checked again and saw that our "double" onion rings equates to 3. I get double onion rings every time I go to cook out and the amount is usually 7-10. So my wife went back up to the drive-through and spoke to the manager and he made it right. In the end the food was good Cook Out quality. Their tenders and burgers are pretty consistently great as are the fries and onion rings. I know that businesses would probably prefer to resolve the issues that come up instead of receiving a negative review, but it makes it difficult to do when there is a drive-through only situation. I have been to many different cook outs and I've never had this kind of issue. In my mind the solution is for the store management to figure out how to organize their system better and provide training with emphasis on accuracy over speed. In the end would I go to the store again? I sure would, but I would definitely be checking my order before I left.

Burger that was supposed to have cheese, onion rings, and the smallest amount of cheese bites humanly possible.

Paid money for this crap. Order wrong. Food is absolutely atrocious in size and temp.

Great place to stop in for a quick lunch. We both ordered the trays with regular hamburger with cheese mine French fries and cheese curds. His with onion rings and hush puppies. I loved the music that was playing was Sirius radio the message and loved the verse on the cup I never knew that was a part of cookout :) Good food for fast food and reasonably priced!

Tender in a chicken sandwich? What a disgrace!! You obviously don't care about your customers.

Disappointed and obviously they don't care about customers. Order two Cajun chicken sandwiches and ended up with two small piece of tender. What a damn joke.

Gave me half a burger...

I know it's cookout but this is just disrespectful. I wouldn't even care but this is like the 3rd time they've messed it up

Hair in my fries.

I tried giving cookout another chance and once again , our orders were wrong , not to mention we got cheese fries and this is the amount of cheese you charge me extra for ? This is just a waste of money

Chicken quesadilla that doesn't even have melted cheese. It was still cold....
Rachel P.

Got through the line just to have a cold quesadilla that didn't even have melted cheese

The Cookout burger, lettuce tomato onion and extra mayo the flavor set them apart from the pack of quantity over quality burger joints its close to homemade smoky juicy and i loved every bite quite often. Haven't ate at this location in a while but due to winter weather grabbed a double burger and was very disappointed it was a dry bitter small patties on a stale tasting bun nightmare. What happened to the juicy backyard flavor? All the fond memories faded like the flavorless pucks of (meat?)that was on this bun. Save your tastebuds the shock eat somewhere else.

Milkshakes like no other. Don't pass them by! Great grilled chicken options too. Real fries, as in you can tell they came from potatoes.

This place is a bit off the beaten path, has seen much better days inside and out, but the broad menu and the hot dogs draw folks. Lise and Feras Alfares opened this spot in 2008, after operating a Mr. Softee truck for number of years in the neighborhood. The menu is centered on hot dogs and burgers, but is really broad, offering a large variety of deli sandwiches, hoagies, gyro, veggie options, quesadillas, nachos, flounder and shrimp plates, plenty of turkey choices, and several dozen toppings and condiments! I have tried hot dogs, burgers, sausages, nachos, and several deli sandwiches - there was nothing that I didn't like, but for me it all about the hot dogs. The ones here are almost at the level of PB's.

The veggie dogs are never mushy and always have great texture. The veggie chili is amazing, chocked with beans and fresh veggies and seasoned to perfection. They toast the bun, giving it the perfect texture to complement the dog. The slaw is also some of the best I've had, hands down. The salads are always super fresh, with large mounds of veggies on top. They're definitely a great value. But my most recent and favorite discovery is their fries. They're perfectly crispy, served piping hot, and topped with a delicious Middle Eastern seasoning blend that takes them to the next level. I can't even begin to describe them. Just order them. The best part is that the back of house staff are efficient and accurate and the front of the house staff are all warm, welcoming and efficient. Amazing service all around.

This is a convenience store on the northern edge of Kernersville, with a small grill, and four small tables for seating. The place is busy and noisy, people in and our constantly, with a buzzer sounding each time the door opens. The sandwiches we tried here were very, very good - a Hot Dog with mustard, chili & onions, a loaded single Cheeseburger, and a Philly Cheese Steak. We got 2 of these as combos, and the fries are very good, though not salted nearly enough. Our drinks were fountain Diet Pepsi, and these were just awful, the mixture is definitely off here. The Hot Dog was loaded with a tasty, meaty chili and a decent wiener. The Burger was well sized, nice flavor, good outside crust coming off the grill. The Cheese Steak was exceptional, filled with beef, cheese, onions, peppers, and mushrooms, in a nice bun. We'd order all 3 again, and probably will. Jose was great - friendly and helpful. We chose to eat in, and he brought everything to the table with a big smile. We probably will get our order to go next time - the place was hot and noisy, not making for a comfortable meal, even a quick one. But if you are looking for a quick bite on the run in Kernersville, you can find great choices here.

We started with a Philly Chicken Cheesesteak. The crusty roll could not contain the caramelized onions, charred chicken, tender mushrooms, sautéed peppers, and melted cheese. The well balanced condiments on the Hot Dog all the way complimented the meaty dog and still emerged on their own right (bold onions & yellow mustard, sweet slaw, and a seasoned zingy chili). Every single slice of potato in our order of Homemade Chips was golden brown and crisp. The sweet Onion Rings had a wonderful crunch, and their potato wedges are on my radar for next time. When we saw the Double Bacon Cheeseburger, our jaws dropped which was actually a good thing because I don't think this gargantuan burger would have fit into our mouths otherwise. So much bacon! I'm not complaining. That was a happy chant Jerry and I kept saying over and over as we ate our lunch. The burgers were moist and juicy on the inside with a good char on the outside from the flat top grill. Topped with American cheese and stacked on a sesame seed bun, we enjoyed ours with lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayonnaise. The next time you're on the road, set a course for The Grill and fill 'er up.
