stopped in on a whim on a saturday at 5 & had an amazing experience. we mostly had the place to ourselves which was great because we both don't like crowded spaces. the service was so attentive & atmosphere cozy with great people watching through the front window. sleek design, clean spacious bathroom. now for the star of the show: the food. there's quite a few choices that intrigued me making my meal choice a bit harder but man i'm glad i went for the rigatoni despite being hesitant. i cleared my plate, which is rare for me, but i couldn't put my fork down, yowza! so many flavors & the hint of heat was perfectly level enough to make it through the end without quitting! my friend also enjoyed his house special shrimp immensely. i will definitely be back to try more of the chefs creations! plus, chef was so sweet giving us a choice of dessert as we celebrated birthdays as well as bringing it out while singing. if you're thinking about it, give them a try!

My friend and I were looking for a place to satisfy both of our culinary tastes (I was craving a burger and she was craving seafood). We found this place online and decided to try it out. The ambiance is warm, and is a great vibe for an intimate family dinner, catching up with a friend or two, or a date. The restaurant is small, but doesn't feel cramped and makes good use of the space that is available. I ordered the Angus cheeseburger burger, medium, with fries, and boy was I happy! The photo does not do it justice the burger was delicious well seasoned and hearty. The fries tasted fresh and were perfectly salted! My friend and I were the only ones in the restaurant this Thursday evening just before it's closing time at 10 PM as we were shocked at how good the meal was and how empty the space was we asked how long has this place been open? Our server let us know I t's been open for six months and the chef came out to second that statement. We thanked the chef and our server for great food and good service. Check out this place if you can, it is warm, welcoming, and the food is delicious!

My bestie and I were looking for a place that would suit both our taste buds for the night. I wanted seafood, she wanted a burger; after a quick google search and menu browse, we decided on Conway diner. An Asian American Fusion Restaurant. We made it just in time to be seated as the last patrons of the night, giving our outing an exclusive feel. The overall experience? 10/10! The food quality, vibe, service and price were all perfect. I had the seafood linguine, and when I tell you the seafood was so FRESH?! My friend had the burger which came with coleslaw (that was prepared more like a pikliz and I TRULY) enjoyed that ‍). At that point my friend and I were surprised that the place wasn't packed! That's when we found out they've only been open for about six months. We got to meet the chef, thanked him and our server profusely and made a promise to let everyone we know about this place. If you ever find yourself on the lower east side, make sure to check out Conway Diner!

Everything that I was served was fresh and flavorful. The staff is friendly and the ambiance is a romantic modern motif. A great addition to The Lower East Side.

I wanted to try their fish and chips after I found this small diner on 2nd Ave., so with some time on my hands, I decided to go over and have some. The place was empty but it was very neat and clean with a pleasant atmosphere and decor. The young waiter took my order and in a short time, out came a pretty plate of fresh panko breaded fish a small coleslaw with perfect French fries! I was happy with a beer and fish and chips. The dish came to $17.00 without the $5.00 beer. All in all, a very pleasant experience. I'll be back again soon! Thank you Conway Diner!

Absolutely amazing food and service! I came here with my fiancé and we were genuinely blown away. Every dish was delicious, and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming--so attentive and friendly, they made us feel right at home. We had such a lovely experience from start to finish. I never write restaurant reviews, but Conway Diner truly deserves the praise. Take a look at the food pictures--we couldn't resist snapping a few because everything looked (and tasted) incredible. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for comfort food done right, with a personal touch.

The pacing of the meal for the quantity of food received seemed very rushed, and we didn't really have a chance to relax and enjoy any of the courses. However, the quality of the experience was a complete disaster particularly for the price. Clearly, the packed restaurant would disagree, but for the four of us anyway, we would not return. It started with the check in process at what felt like a long hotel front desk with multiple, self important hosts and hostesses overseeing your entrance to the cavernous bar/waiting area. One problem is the noise is so deafening that you can't really hear what they say to you but we check in a few minutes early and waited obediently in the bar area chatting. After about 30 minutes (15 after our reservation time), and watching numerous parties large and small who arrived after us be seated by the hostesses wandering through the dimly lit space who peer quizzically and ask your name, my husband went to ask for an update. (We joked that those vibrating lighted buzzers alerting when your table was ready would have been super helpful, but it was amusing to watch while we waited). It was clear they somehow lost track of us as she had him repeatedly spell our (not unusual) name. Anyway, after that, within 10 minutes after that we were taken downstairs to our seats (but not before standing awkwardly in the large dining area near packed tables waiting while our table was cleaned). Server with a heavy accent was kind and mostly helpful so none of this is on him. The busser who managed to spill half a pitcher of cold water on my husband's back, soaking his shirt and jacket and barely apologizing, is a whole other story. We managed to get a glass of his mediocre Cabernet comped for the experience. If I sound annoyed, I guess I still am. I had high hopes for a fun and tasty experience in a cool part of the city and it just wasn't.

It's not your typical lychee martini. It has Aperol and pineapple, which gives it a great flavor. My only note is that I wish it were a bit stronger. We also had the lobster spring rolls, another great dish, and the crispy wontons, which were good but not my favorite compared to everything else. For our entrée we got the beef tenderloin, another must get. It was amazing, super tender, and melts in your mouth. We had it with the fried rice, which was solid. For dessert we had the ice cream sandwich, which was different in the best way and extremely delicious. It wasn't too sweet and the cone "buns" were perfection. Overall, this place is gorgeous and the food matches. I would definitely return. The service was also great, the perfect balance of letting you do your own thing and truly enjoy your evening while still checking in. It is pricey. We each paid $184 including tip, but it's definitely worth it for a special occasion or to spoil yourself a bit.

Best way to describe this is luxe Asian or bougie Chinese. If you are fan of top Chef it would be called soigné. We had three of the hot apps, Foie gras, lobster shumai with caviar and morel mushroom with spinach crystal dumplings. After that we're deciding between the quail and beef tenderloin wok dishes. Since the quail was spicy went with tenderloin which came with small serving of rice. All the food was great. I felt the crystal dumpling needed a kicked and they brought Out there house soy and hot vinegar sauce. For drinks I tried there mix of a classic martini with an old fashioned and after discussions with there somm who nicely recommended a more affordable bottle that would meet our needs got the Chardonnay by glass as a bottle. Enjoyed the meal though likely spent 5 times what usually spend on Chinese place mainly due to cost of alcohol. Place is well designed with a look similar to Butter downtown with the arched ceiling mixed with with the sound dampening feature of similar design of bar Boulod. Will return to try the quail and the lobster spring rolls and if they keep to this standard will increase rating to 5.

For our main course we ordered the orange chicken and the Thai BBQ chicken, which I thought were decent but nothing phenomenal. We also ordered the BBQ ribs, which were a massive disappointment. The meat was dry and the sauce had an aftertaste I didn't like. For dessert, we ordered the massive fortune cookie coated in white chocolate and surrounded by fresh fruit.
