Like this spot for its Healthy food options, lots of choices and helpful friendly staff. My friend enjoyed her braised chicken as well as the sides that she ordered with it. I ordered crispy chicken but noticed its still pink/ raw inside. So thats a bummer. Still would give this spot a second chance and stay away from The fried options. They got clean bathrooms & price is reasonable

Dig Inn exceeded all expectations with both its service and the quality of the food. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and engaged, making the whole experience enjoyable. They took the time to explain the menu and offer suggestions, ensuring I got the perfect combination for my bowl. The atmosphere was casual & welcoming, relaxing and savory which almost sounds ridiculous for me to say given the casual nature of the place. Lol. The food was awesome even compared to other spots around the city. The crispy tofu was perfectly seasoned and had just the right amount of crunch, while the mac & cheese was creamy and comforting. The farro salad added a refreshing, earthy balance to the dish, and the fresh ingredients really made the flavors pop. Every bite was packed with taste and texture, making Dig Inn a standout in the world of fresh, fast-casual dining.

I like this location because of the interior layout. Nice open window view of 4th Ave. I ordered the glazed tofu, Brussel sprout, sweet potato, kale salad as a base (+$1.99), focaccia bread($3) and carrot cake. The staff were nice and social, however the Brussel sprout side dish was too salty. Needs to have a proper salt management. Tofu was over cooked or under the heat lamp too long however everything was still tasty. The focaccia was greatly oiled with herbs visible and slightly taste it. I have yet to eat the carrot cake, update later. There is a water closet available in the back of dining hall. If you're wanting something wholesome and quick in union square area, dig inn! Now knows as dig.

This DIG location is amazing! The service is great. The employees are very willing to help and clarify any questions you may have. This location has seating inside, and it's usually not too hard to get a spot. It's in a convenient location as well! Lastly, I got the Classic DIG and loved it! The charred broccoli with lemon always hits the spot! Overall, I highly recommend it if you haven't tried DIG!

I'm of the healthy lunch eating set who got into the habit of eating a convenient lunch at Dig Inn back when I went into the office for work. This habit started over a decade ago, and I actually thought the food at Dig Inn got better and better over the years, with a crescendo at their fine dining sit down concept, 232 Bleecker, which I think is fantastic. DIG on 4th marketed themselves as a happy medium between the casual quick serve outposts and their fine dining restaurant with this full- service restaurant. What I found was a slightly dressed up version of regular quick-serve DIG locations, except the food is served on real plates instead of disposable bowls. Dig on 4th is akin to Westville, with fewer options and smaller portions. If you read any of the press or the description on Dig on 4th's own website, you'll see the copy writer was working on overdrive. "Dig on 4th represents Dig's expansion into a third place- a public space that acts like an intimate one. We've designed the space to make it feel like you're going home." It doesn't look like any home I've ever been to, it looks like a lunch counter. You pay at the register, grab a table flag, and they bring out your dishes to your table. You then bus your own tables, so calling it a full service restaurant feels like a misnomer. Everything about the food and experience felt almost identical to their more casual concepts, which also serve wine and beer, so you can't even say that's the key difference. This menu has sandwiches, with regular Digs don't have, but that's about it. Roasted veggies and a substantive protein is a formula I can get behind, but I think they could've done without the flowery overtures and claims that this is anything different than what they had previously here.

Dig on 4th is always a hit Good quality food Decent portions Nice staff Not crazy expensive Ambiance is ok for what it is I don't know if it would make it for a first date night, but it's not terrible :)

I normally love DIG, and have never had a bad experience until yesterday :(. I got my usual garlic aioli sauce. After pouring one container on my bowl, I could tell something was off. I tasted it and both sauces were completely rancid and ruined my whole meal. I really hope the food safety is okay at this location, because Dig is the one takeout treat I allow myself lol.

Custom with Protein (charred chicken, Brussels sprout, brown rice, avocado) and Roasted Sweet Potatoes Side
    Lila L.

Ordered for lunch on a weekday through DoorDash for pick-up. Waited a few minutes even though the app said the food was ready but I didn't mind since I saw them making the chicken fresh. Got the custom with protein (charred chicken, brown rice, brussels sprout, avocado, sweet potato side with balsamic dressing and hot honey sauce). Overall very filling, however the brussels sprout and chicken were a little salty so the sauces really helped balance that out. I was surprised avocado was a free topping usually there is an extra charge. Price-wise it isn't cheap, $22 for this one meal, definitely can't be having this everyday!

Came here for a healthy weeknight dinner and it was amazing!! We came in at 7 and there were a lot of pickup orders coming through, but not very many sitting down. The wait staff was incredibly friendly and kept refilling our water (even though it was self-serve). The flavors of everything was super flavorful and fresh. The kale Caesar salad had a nice crunch with the cashews. The corn was super creamy. The Mac and cheese had the perfect amount of cheese (wasn't too heavy) and the breadcrumbs were a nice add. The tomato and cucumbers were also really tasty and light! Great spot for a healthy, refreshing dinner!

Grilled wild salmon with kale Caesar.
    Setra S.

The pricing structure is a bit odd but for $21 including tip I got a kale Caesar salad with a pice of grilled wild salmon, so I can't complain too much. The loud party music is kind of annoying and the floor could use a good cleaning but the salad is tasty and the service is friendly and quick. I be like that I could see the area where the food is prepared and gage for myself how clean it is. (It looks clean.). The salmon was a bit over cooked but tasted fresh.

(What's left of...) my avo egg sandwich
    Lola O.

Love this place! It's nice to get something relatively fast AND healthy. As someone obsessed with breakfast, I ordered the AVO egg sandwich, and it did not disappoint. It took about 6mins from order to the hand over. It's served on (house-made, they say) focaccia and that definitely adds to the experience with pickled peppers to lighten the palette. ...I would have loved a bit more avo though - the amount wasn't giving main character energy at all. It was more avo paste. In all it was $8 and some change - not bad at all IMO. If you're dining in, there is more of a restaurant-feel with stainless steel cutlery (and not just disposables - yay!). This location has quite a bit of space too.

Always a 5 star experience. Fresh food that's consistently made and always delicious!! Cooked and served with love. Also, Maurice is the shit! Great experience and ambiance every single time.

The front part where you first walk in is the bar area with some tables. This restaurant is on the darker side and brings you back in time. Once you walk in further that is where the main dinning room is. This is also on the darker side as you can maybe tell by my photos. The wall paper and art around the restaurant is cool and there are some monkey statues around the restaurant. I was seated in a corner table in a booth area that seemed to be for at least 2-3 people. I thought for sure they would seat me at the bar area. I had a wonderful waitress whose name I think was Taylor but I could be wrong. I ordered the Monkey bread to start off with. It's a very buttery bread with truffle and parm cheese on top. I have alot of allergies and I was searching online if I could even have truffles as I have a nut allergy. So, I asked the waitress and she said she had never heard this. But, she came back to me and told me that White truffle grows near or like over where Almonds grow from but that, they don't use white truffle so I was all good. Well, this was super nice of her to check for me. I had no idea she was going to do this. She said the restaurant has strict protocols when it comes to food allergies. I then got for my main dish the double cheese burger with onions and pickles. To drink I had the cucumber martini. WOW everything was pretty darn good!! I passed on dessert. If you get a chance or a reservation pops up in your resy to go, even if it is for lunch..I highly say go for it.

Our server was…read moreincredibly warm, upbeat, and full of energy--one of those people who genuinely elevates a meal. I only wish I could remember her name because she deserves the recognition. We started with drinks, and mine ended up being a surprise standout. I ordered the coconut margarita, slightly hesitant since I'm not usually a margarita fan--but it completely won me over. It struck a perfect balance and leaned just enough into the coconut to make it feel unique without being overpowering. My sister-in-law, who's pregnant, had a non-alcoholic Ritual margarita and loved it, noting how convincingly it mimicked the real thing. Since we were sharing, we got to try a good mix of the menu. The monkey bread came first--definitely a splurge at $34, but it's one of those fun, indulgent starters that's worth ordering at least once. While I wouldn't call it the best bread I've ever had, I also wouldn't change anything about it. The crab rangoon was another highlight. Having it made with real crab made a noticeable difference, and the dipping sauces complemented it really well. It felt like a more elevated take on something familiar. For mains, the French dip was a hit. The meat was incredibly tender, the bread had that ideal crusty exterior, and the au jus was packed with flavor--I was very glad I ordered extra. It pulled the whole dish together. We also tried the smoked whitefish Caesar, which was the only dish that didn't quite land for me. It was a well-made, fresh salad, but the smoked fish flavor was a bit overpowering and took over the balance of the dish. Even though we were too full for dessert, the restaurant surprised us with a scoop of strawberry ice cream with chocolate sauce to celebrate my sister-in-law's babymoon. It ended up being one of the most memorable bites of the meal--we're still talking about how good that ice cream was. We arrived right at 11:45, and by the time we left, the place was absolutely buzzing. It's clearly a popular spot, and for good reason. Between the lively atmosphere, strong service, and well-executed food, I'd highly recommend making a reservation if you can.

Edamame dumplings were different as it had a cheesy flavor and the edamame itself wasn't noticeable. The sauce surrounding it was savory. Also a must get. Wish it was more than 4 pieces. Love the idea of Korean tapas! Every dish is reasonably priced. We got the popcorn chicken,…read moregnocchi, lucky noodle, paella, and the plantain for two people which was enough. The gnocchi and lucky noodle sauces were amazing. The gnocchi had a sauce similar to a teokbokki and had a nice kick. The lucky noodle had great texture and with the sweet onions, had a nice sweet and spicy mix. The popcorn chicken was cooked well. The paella was a nice mix between Spanish and Korean flavors. The only thing we didn't like was the plantain as it was just half a plantain and the dip it came with didn't mix well in my opinion. The drinks tasted stronger than I expected but that ended up with the drinks being a little bitter. Service was nice and quick here! This is a great spot for a girls night out. We came at around 6:30 PM on a Saturday and were able to get seated immediately. Overall, really good!

We had seats right next to the stage, and the music was high quality - present enough to enjoy, but never overpowering. It struck a really nice balance and added to the overall atmosphere rather than distracting from it. The food and drinks were just as impressive. The Seafood Box was fresh across the board, with a great mix of king prawns, oysters, lobster salad, hiramasa, and mussels. The Peekytoe Crab Cake had a perfect crisp on the outside, tons of flavor, and an excellent nori aioli. The standout for me was the Eggplant Zen, which was incredibly flavorful and well put together. To drink, the Toki Highball was light, refreshing, and really well balanced. Overall, a great experience with strong food, drinks, and ambiance.

Wanted to LOVE this place... Came to NYC with the Hubby for a work event and weeks before had us…read moredouble booked every night in town for dinner and this was the dinner I was most looking forrward to... Sad!!! From the moment we walked in I was hopeful, the girls at the window were great checking us in, but there was a slight issue and I felt that shifted our entire night. We sit down and the tables are TIGHT - we were sat right next to the stage and the woman that was on was GREAT... digging the vibe, super excited - my arm would constantly touch the girl next to us and we then started all talking to that table as well so it became less awkward but still... Drinks come, Ok - My drink I had to assemble myself which was cute I could make it too my liking, I just might have liked if there was actual alcohol with it... Then food, apps were Ok... The mains, NO... The steak had NO FLAVOR, not even bad flavor, NONE... Then the music changed, and the band that went on after was just NOT a vibe - what we had hoped would be a cute, cuddle in a little booth, get some music, good food, turned into a "are we done, lets hurry and go drink at the hotel bar" experience! Sad because I wanted to love this place, and maybe another booth where my ass wasnt on my neighbors chair, and the music was a different band might change this whole experience!
