Great new spot on Roosevelt Island. Super friendly staff and welcoming to families. The K-Town tacos were very good and had a nice kick to them. We did the tram slam option that included a drink and chips and salsa and a homemade sauce (the mild green sauce). We also enjoyed the build your own carnitas street tacos. We were very happy to see there were a couple of kid friendly options for our children who are picky eaters- we got the cheese quesadilla. They have a cool game where for every $25 you spend, you get a chance to win something! My daughter was very happy to walk out with cotton candy. I am looking forward to trying the churros next time. A friend and I were looking for a bar where we could enjoy a drink while actually being able to hear each other without screaming. After walking around the East Village for a bit, we came across Pinks and it looked chill and fun at the same time. We wound up sitting at the neon sign lit bar and having drinks and conversation as the bartender played a wonderfully curated retro late 80's playlist. The staff at Pinks was super nice and had a great sense of humor. Our drinks also came really quick. I wound up having a Moscow Mule which was really nice, especially with some smoked salt on the edge of the cup! The place is very small so you can really only stand and eat, or just takeaway. The nitro shrimp bowl was really good and super filling. However, the 'pink sauce' they gave me was completely off. When I brought it home I could see the little container was puffed up, when I opened it, it exploded a bit. I tasted it and it was clear that it was so sour since it was spoiled. I left it on my kitchen counter while I ate my meal, but when I came back I saw it was like fermenting and growing bigger. They really need to taste the sauce and see if it's expired or not before serving it to customers. read more

Ordered 6 different tacos from here walking back. And I loved all the taco from the carnitas to the shrimp and chicken. But my top were the shrimp and my second is the carnitas. All the tacos are made well and packed up. Some places you pay more for tacos but such small amounts. This place price is good and the amount they put in is to the brim. Highly recommend here. Holy guacamole this place is the shiiiiiii. Everything we ordered came out hot and delicious. Order the nacho tots, you will not regret it. Pink's Cantina is a cute lil spot that you can almost miss if you don't look closely!! I didn't know it existed until sometime in the middle of the pandemic, but they've been open for so much longer! I ordered their Cantina Burrito with Steak and their Chopped Cheese Burrito. The chopped cheese was AMAZING, one bite and I was in love. It's perfectly cheesy and beefy, my guts were drowning in that grease but my heart was full . The Cantina is jam packed with rice, black beans, and spicy corn salsa! The menu is a bit limited, pretty pricey for what it is. I ordered a chopped cheese burrito. I don't know what I was thinking. I read burrito so I automatically thought it must be good. It's basically chunks of ground meat mixed with cheese. I didn't see or taste any caramelized onions. $10.... overpriced for what it is. I had a few bites and I got tired of it. Too much sodium in the processed cheese and the texture of the ground meat was a lil too soft. I'd rather have a burrito from Chipotle if we're going the non authentic route. We also tried a carnitas taco which looked odd and tasted like fish. The meat had the consistency of dried tuna fish. The 1/2 and 1/2 guac and pico de Gallo with chips was the best part of the meal but nothing you couldn't make at home in a few minutes. The pico de gallo was mostly tomatoes. The food is not authentic Mexican which is fine if that's what you expected, but the taco/burrito was quite disappointing at $5/10each. You could easily find tons of other taquerias in the area with better food. read more

Some of the best Mexican food I've had. I had the shrimp tacos, tres Chile's chicken tacos, and the Burracho Laffa. Get the guacamole it's small but it's cheap. A solid cup for $4 and if you're like me you get two. But it's still just $8. Cantina chips were awesome with it. I don't know what's on them but they're solid.
