    Turkey Meatballs Bowl
    Emily G.

Ordered this for lunch on a work day and I was pretty surprised. I got the turkey meatballs bowl, and it tasted healthy as well as delicious. Excellent choice for a fast casual spot for lunch or dinner.

Friendly staff, food was good and place looks clean. I placed an online order thinking the place would be packed at noon. I was the only one there picking up my food.

Slow-roasted pork & shaved Brussels sprouts. The meal comes with arugula, faro, and shaved parmesan. I added a meatball and an organic soft-boiled egg. I thought the pork was very juicy and flavorful. The Brussels sprouts were also really tasty! I never had it shaved and it makes the brussels sprouts more enjoyable. The meatball was just okay, for a 2.25 extra charge I expected something more juicy and flavorful. The soft-boiled egg was pretty jammy. Overall I think it's a nicely constructed bowl. It might be too expensive for everyday lunch.

A bit on the pricey side of lunch, but absolutely worth a visit every once in a while (even by a cheapo like me). For as long as I have worked in the FiDi, I never realized Blue Park even existed! Honestly, it's hard to find them randomly unless you take a stroll on Pine Street, or find them on Yelp ... and, even then, they blend right into the building that they are situated in. Like most of the FiDi restaurants now, they are the usual assembly-line type of takeout spot, but the ingredients are so good. There are your Signature Bowls, which are bowls with pre-determined ingredients or you can Build Your Own. Luckily, if you're on the "adventurous" side, building your own bowl isn't all that challenging, but it can feel a little overwhelming your 1st time around. My word of advice - study the menu beforehand, but sometimes you just can't resist changing it up when you show up and see the ingredients in person. Simply put, the build your own bowl consist of first selecting grains and greens, then a sauce, a dip, 2 vegetables, 1 protein and 2 toppings. And, best of all, they actually have small instructional cards on the front of the sneeze glass so you actually know what you're looking at! One caveat though is that adding a protein does add to the cost as each bowl does not include the price of a protein - womp, womp. As for the bowls, even though a bit pricey with the addition of a protein, they are PACKED and very filling. After devouring most of the food, my jaw was literally fatigued from all of the chewing because there was so much food in the bowl. As for my ingredient faves? I'm a huge couscous fan, so I'd absolutely start with that and the grilled kale. For the sauces, I've only tried a few, but, honestly, all of them are probably tasty. For the dip, go with the avocado smash, if you love avocado, which I absolutely do. For veggies, this is a tricky one because I absolutely am a fan of most of them, but I could never resist the mixed mushrooms and charred broccolini. Lastly, the toppings, not sure why the corn salsa is listed here instead of veggies, but that's a fave of mine. For a little crunch, also add the toasted chickpeas. Lastly, protein, I would say the salmon, but it's the priciest of the proteins at a whopping $4.50, but it's really delicious. If it's too steep for your wallet, go with the blackened chicken breast. Seriously, Blue Park Kitchen has always come through every time I've been. Never have I had a bad bowl. Yes, they are on the pricier side, even by FiDi standards. I'm pretty cautious on my spending for lunch (aka I'm cheap) and tend to try to keep the cost on the lower end, but they are soooo good that they definitely warrant a visit every few weeks from me.

I'm not that familiar with the fidi district, so finding a lunch spot was tough. Blue Park Kitchen looked great, could've been great but unfortunately fell short. I got the Salmon and Charred Broccoli bowl - $14 was a little steep but expected for the area. The salmon was well made and tasty, broccoli had a nice char to it too, but both the chickpeas and farro tasted raw and undercooked (a few of my chickpeas had the texture of stone). Given this was the majority of my bowl it was a bit of a let down. All things considered, I think there are better options in the neighborhood.

The food was delicious. Got myself a chicken bowl for dinner on a weeknight. The service was quick. Interior was nice, seems like a fast casual restaurant with plenty of people ordering takeout/delivery.

This is one of my favorite lunch spots in downtown! Incredibly tasty and filling but doesn't leave me feeling gross or needing a nap after! The white bean hummus is particularly delicious.

This is the single piece of potato patty that warrants 12.75$
    Meghna S.

Rip off for vegetarians and vegans . They serve generous amount of meat protein depending on what u order; salmon, chicken, turkey meat balls for $13-$14 however when you order a vegeterian bowl, which is basically potato patties and mushrooms they significantly reduce the size of your serving. Bowl with quinoa, greens and one lame piece of potato patty and few mushrooms..Like one single piece?? Like seriously how much does one piece of mashed potato cost u guys over 3 pieces of turkey meat balls or one filet of salmon?? I ordered an extra potato patty n landed up paying $15.50 for a single bowl.. don't get me even started on the taste... the patties were bland and undercooked, you get taste of half cooked potatoes with every bite. The guy preparing my bowl was least interested in what add ons I wanted. He was itching to get done with me asap to attend the next meat eating customers. I'm saying this with conviction coz I have ordered meat bowls from this place before and have had good experiences. It's like they are intolerant to vegeterianism. What a downfall from being one of my favorite lunch places in fidi to me never wanting to visit it again.

Rubberband in my food means they don't clean their produce properly
    Elizabeth C.

I have ordered from this place everyday and I always knew there was an issue with cleaning their produce. I just always find branches from ingredients etc. Especially in their turkey meatballs, there are always branches in the mix. Today. I choked on a rubberband that was left next to my broccolini. I am never ordering from this place again. They don't clean their produce. They are cutting corners. This is dangerous.

Blue Park is similar to Dig inn . You pick your base , protein and veggies but there are also preselected combos available as well at a slightly better value versus a la carte. I prefer using the latter means as I'm complicated like that . Ended up with brown rice, blackened chicken, carrots some curries flavored cauliflower and various sauces that I can't remember . My meal was not bad at all . I would say though that they did too much with their seasonings . The rice for example was very saturated with what seemed like lemon juice . The sauces were good but would have preferred them on the side as a dip . The meats were cooked very well (tried the chicken and steak) but was a smaller portion than I'm used to in similar restaurants . The veggies were also good except for their kale but got lost in the complexity and non complimentary flavors of the food . I'd surmise that this restaurant is good . Figuring out the various combos and what works with what is too much work for me though versus a spot like dig inn that has simpler and less bold offerings that usually satisfies the palette . At a lower price mind you...

BUILD YOUR OWN - veggie bowl
    Chris D.

This is like an elevated, more expensive digg inn. My friend and I both enjoyed our meals and there was certainly plenty of choice (even for someone who doesn't eat meat, like me) to go back and have different options. All the food tasted fresh and had lots of flavor.

The front part where you first walk in is the bar area with some tables. This restaurant is on the darker side and brings you back in time. Once you walk in further that is where the main dinning room is. This is also on the darker side as you can maybe tell by my photos. The wall paper and art around the restaurant is cool and there are some monkey statues around the restaurant. I was seated in a corner table in a booth area that seemed to be for at least 2-3 people. I thought for sure they would seat me at the bar area. I had a wonderful waitress whose name I think was Taylor but I could be wrong. I ordered the Monkey bread to start off with. It's a very buttery bread with truffle and parm cheese on top. I have alot of allergies and I was searching online if I could even have truffles as I have a nut allergy. So, I asked the waitress and she said she had never heard this. But, she came back to me and told me that White truffle grows near or like over where Almonds grow from but that, they don't use white truffle so I was all good. Well, this was super nice of her to check for me. I had no idea she was going to do this. She said the restaurant has strict protocols when it comes to food allergies. I then got for my main dish the double cheese burger with onions and pickles. To drink I had the cucumber martini. WOW everything was pretty darn good!! I passed on dessert. If you get a chance or a reservation pops up in your resy to go, even if it is for lunch..I highly say go for it.

Our server was…read moreincredibly warm, upbeat, and full of energy--one of those people who genuinely elevates a meal. I only wish I could remember her name because she deserves the recognition. We started with drinks, and mine ended up being a surprise standout. I ordered the coconut margarita, slightly hesitant since I'm not usually a margarita fan--but it completely won me over. It struck a perfect balance and leaned just enough into the coconut to make it feel unique without being overpowering. My sister-in-law, who's pregnant, had a non-alcoholic Ritual margarita and loved it, noting how convincingly it mimicked the real thing. Since we were sharing, we got to try a good mix of the menu. The monkey bread came first--definitely a splurge at $34, but it's one of those fun, indulgent starters that's worth ordering at least once. While I wouldn't call it the best bread I've ever had, I also wouldn't change anything about it. The crab rangoon was another highlight. Having it made with real crab made a noticeable difference, and the dipping sauces complemented it really well. It felt like a more elevated take on something familiar. For mains, the French dip was a hit. The meat was incredibly tender, the bread had that ideal crusty exterior, and the au jus was packed with flavor--I was very glad I ordered extra. It pulled the whole dish together. We also tried the smoked whitefish Caesar, which was the only dish that didn't quite land for me. It was a well-made, fresh salad, but the smoked fish flavor was a bit overpowering and took over the balance of the dish. Even though we were too full for dessert, the restaurant surprised us with a scoop of strawberry ice cream with chocolate sauce to celebrate my sister-in-law's babymoon. It ended up being one of the most memorable bites of the meal--we're still talking about how good that ice cream was. We arrived right at 11:45, and by the time we left, the place was absolutely buzzing. It's clearly a popular spot, and for good reason. Between the lively atmosphere, strong service, and well-executed food, I'd highly recommend making a reservation if you can.

Went to Zou Zou's for a little bday celebration with gfs and had a great time. Not to mention,…read morethere was such a sweet little bday care when we got to the table. So thoughtful, and such a great touch to start the evening for us. We decided to order the family style menu and we enjoyed the whole dinner. All of the dishes on the menu were really good and great price for $74pp. I wish we had a 4th in our party so we couldve had the duck, but we'll definitely be returning to do so. The dips were so good and so fresh! I think all of the dishes were perfectly seasoned. I get sad when dishes are overly seasoned or overly salty. Oh, and im not much of a sweet tooth, but their dessert was marvelous and the sweetness was balanced so nicely.

Mixed feelings towards Zou Zou's. Having dined at most of Quality Group's restaurants, we had high…read morehopes for Zou Zou's and booked a table for dinner on Easter. Walking in, it's a stunning restaurant and on this night, not too crowded which made us wonder why they would seat us next to the servers station away from dozens of much nicer tables. Note that I booked through Open Table where I have Gold status which I thought meant you get a better table. Next fail, we wanted to start with a Mediterranean dip, but they only offer that if you go with a $39 tray with multiple dips. Not something a party of two would be able to east, so we skipped apps altogether. Sucks too, because several tables had it and it liked amazing, just too much for two. For dinner I had the Yemeni Au Police Kebab, Filet Mignon which was absolutely delicious. The peppercorn Hawaii really sweetened the meat's flavor. So high marks for the steak. My wife had two small dishes which she wasn't as thrilled with, Grilled Artichokes which were too dry for her liking and Manti, which she liked. Main takeaways. Very pricey, beautiful atmosphere (if you get a nice table) and maybe a place that's better for a group than a couple.
