Not a bad khao soi -- creamy with a good amount of chicken, but it could have more noodles. Spring rolls were kinda meh and hollow inside. Casual but chill ambiance.
Cute spot w good music. Mango sticky rice was SO GOOD. A lot of mango is usually something I favor :( but wish there was more rice for $11 IT WAS delicious tho we got 2 Garlic fries: crispy delicious seasoned well and the sauce is a siracha mixture just enough spicy Thai fried chicken was good but wish they gave more sauce Service was quick and reliable
We ate at Sticky Rice for a late lunch. We started with vegetable dumplings in soy ginger sauce. They were very flavorful and robust. The sauce was exceptional. My spouse had Pad Thai with pork belly. I had veggie crazy noodles. They were so delicious. It is hot, but I wished I was less full and I could finish them. The restaurant is super cute, with lovely decor, and sweet cloth napkins. The service was kind and attentive without hovering. I look forward to going back again.
The crispy pork in the pad thai was perfectly crunchy and not too greasy. The pad thia itself was pretty good, not comparable to pad thai i've had in thailand though. As far as US style padthai it's pretty good. The flavor of the chicken satay was good but the chicken could've been juicer. Sticky rice was good as well, perfect pairing with the chicken satay. The restaurant was beautiful and the bar area was nice as well. Employees were nice as well, ordered for pickup and I was able to wait at the bar.
We came here with a large group with my cousins upon the recommendation of a local shopkeeper. The place is very cute and not huge, and the decor is fun, with colorful lanterns and a beautiful painted wall. Their service is very good. They were friendly and filled our water attentively, and it was a bit humid, so they kept the door closed and kept the AC in the space. The food was fantastic! I really loved my dish, the salmon fried rice. It had large chunks of fried salmon. The papaya salad was delicious too, not too spicy and so flavorful. The Singapore noodles were delicious, but not what I was expecting. This is an egg noodle like fettuccine with soy sauce and oyster sauce. It tasted great, and I'd probably order it again, but just FYI it isn't a curry dish with Angel hair noodles! The curry fries were yummy but I'd probably not order it again, I would prefer to keep the curry sauce separate for dipping. Overall, 5 stars!
We live in the area and have easily passed by this spot hundreds of time, each time saying we should try it soon. Well we finally did. We came here for dinner on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy We were promptly seated even with a reservation. The restaurant itself was a bit dark but worked with their vibe. The papaya salad we ordered was very limey but enjoyable. The fries and wings were delicious. They batter the fries! For our entrees, we got the drunk man noodle and the spicy fried rice with pork belly. We also added a fried egg. The drunk man noodles were delicious and exactly as you'd expect it to taste. The fried rice however, felt a bit on your dry side. The pork belly was definitely dry. They no longer have the duck. Overall this spot is decent. We'd come again.
I really like sticky rice, the place looks cool from the inside and the food is good! I've been here with a group and it was good for sharing appetizers and grabbing a drink. I've also come by myself for lunch and it was nice. The service is fine, when I went the first time it was really busy but they were quick. When I went for lunch the service was a little slower but it looked like the waitress was by herself so that's understandable. I'd definitely go again.
Nicer than I expected inside, but can still be casual. Good for lunch. The dumplings were a great app. Pretty average nothin crazy exciting but delicious nonetheless. The pad Thai was sweet Ns as you would expect, not as oily as other places and yummy. There was a good portion of chicken and noodles.
Great thai restaurant for a quick brunch on the weekend. The restaurant was not too crowded on a weekend morning which was nice. The restaurant was beautiful on the inside and I loved the decor and booth style seating. We ordered the chicken satay as an appetizer and the chicken was suprisingly flavorful and juicy. We also ordered the pad thai lunch with spring rolls. The spring rolls were perfectly crispy and tasty. The pad thai was great! I ordered the curry and it was just ok. The potatoes seemed a bit out of place but I liked that it came with a purple rice, great touch. We also ordered the thai tea and the thai iced coffee, both a little too sweet for our taste but still yummy. The service was quick and on top of everything - my water glass was always full and I think he was the only server at the time kudos to him!
I came here with a group of 12 ppl for a friend's birthday. My friend made a reservation a few days beforehand and we were lucky to get a table! The place was dimly lit, but the decor was pretty. Our waiter was also the best! He was so patient and kind taking care of our big group. We kept asking for things and he was quick to attend to us! I enjoyed most of the food especially the Khao Soi and the cinnamon sesame Roti dessert. However, their pork belly was soooo fatty. And I thought it was strange that they served sticky rice on the side w/ the papaya salad. And I also didn't expect the lychee and taro rice pudding dessert to be made w/ sticky rice! But I guess that's how Thai rice pudding is like. I had no idea, but that's my mistake! I was expecting it to be a creamy, looser texture like the American rice pudding. It was still tasty, but we wouldn't have also order mango sticky rice because it's just more and more sticky rice! I guess that's what this restaurant is all about...hence the name!

I got the drunken basil noodles which ended up tasting very similar to pad see ew, probably my fault since I got the mild spicy version compared to how it's typically served.
The food was okay. I had pad Thai with chicken. I tried some Thai tea and it tasted a little off. Overall, the place was fine, but not amazing.
Stopped by Sticky Rice for a quick lunch, and it was exactly what we were looking for. The lunch special was a great deal - simple, affordable, and packed with flavor. We ordered the Pad Thai, drunken noodles, and fried rice with different protein options, and all were delicious. Chili garlic fries were bomb. The portions were generous, and everything came out quickly, making it a perfect spot for a satisfying meal without spending a ton. Nothing fancy, just good, flavorful food at a great price. I'd definitely come back for another quick lunch. read more
Sticky Rice is a local fresh eatery you want to walk into casually during lunch and walk away from feeling satisfied and content. Its cute inside but I had to take advantage of patio dining. Service is frequent and reliable The food is no frills. Simple good and fresh. Appetizer: Papaya salad. Light, sharable served with a bit of sticky rice. Tried 2 Lunch Combos: Pad Thai with Chicken Satay: so light not too saucy and served with chicken, egg, tofu and peanuts. The usual but the star was the chicken satay, so juicy so flavorful. The sauce was amazing. Fried Rice with Veggie Spring Roll: tomatoe based fried with decent count of shrimp. Regular smegular spring roll. Fresh nonetheless. Eat here read more
I came here late on a Friday night and my friend and I were seated immediately. She ordered the basil fried rice with chicken (definitely a little spicy which was unexpected) and I ordered the coconut soup with chicken (delicious with a good amount of chicken for only $9!) We also shared the shrimp and chicken dumplings which were jam packed with meat - could have been a little more flavorful but still delicious! read more

This Thai restaurant has been in my Bookmarks for awhile, so I was glad I finally had the chance to dine here for dinner with a friend. It was a super hot day, and there was no AC inside the restaurant. On top of that, the seating inside was pretty full and kind of cramped, so we sat at the bar, which wasn't the most comfortable spot. My friend and I shared the Fried Calamari and Yin-Yang Garlic Fries. The Calamari came with an addicting, creamy spicy mayo sauce. I enjoyed how crunchy and light the calamari was. The fries appetizer consisted of both regular potato, as well as sweet potato fries. The fries were quite salty and not very garlicky. They were, however, nicely crispy. For my entree, I was torn between the Salmon Supreme and Shrimp, or Dirty Duck Fried Rice. I finally decided on the Salmon Supreme and Shrimp. I also ordered a side of sticky rice, which had a small surcharge. I mean, how can you NOT have sticky rice, considering the name of the restaurant? I wasn't sure whether to go with the green or red sauce to accompany the salmon, so since the waitress mentioned the green sauce is on the spicy side, I selected the red sauce. This had a coconut base, and was layered with a lovely complexity of flavors. There were also several veggies in the dish, including green beans, tomato, bamboo, which were all perfectly cooked. The Salmon was wonderfully tender, delightfully flaky, well seasoned, and slightly crisp. There were a decent number of shrimp, which were large in size, juicy and succulent. The sticky rice was satisfyingly chewy with just the right texture and consistency. There was also a lovely, subtle sweetness to it. I was also able to try a little of the Dirty Duck Fried Rice, which consisted of green curry paste, mixed vegetable, along with an egg on top. I enjoyed this, and there was only a slight kick to it. The duck was meaty and flavorful. All the ingredients worked well together. I particularly liked the addition of the egg. Service was pretty good. The person taking our order behind the bar was polite and was knowledgeable about the menu. Prices were also fairly reasonable. Most starters were under $12, while entrees were generally under $20. I'm not sure I would return, because there wasn't much else on the menu I wanted to try. read more

Came late to meet up with friend who finished dinner before I arrived. Ambience was intimate and the restaurant was packed! service was good nevertheless. Though I didn't dine today I've had their Grilled Pork Back Slabs, Boneless Thai fried chicken, and the Spicy Drunken Basil Noodles. When I had it was definitely good! I asked the sever Derek to make the noodles extra spicy and boyyy did they hit the spot. read more
Decent food, good service, but expensive for portion sizes - 3.5 overall I came here with 2 friends on a Tuesday night at 6pm and were seated immediately. We ordered the green curry with tofu, chicken dinner combo, and drunken noodles, with a side of roti. The roti was great, crispy and flaky for $3.5. The other dishes all tasted pretty good, the curry wasn't too sweet, the drunken noodles had a tang, and all were a good spice level. But the portions just felt small for an $18 entree and my two friends were still a bit hungry after finishing. read more

We came in at 6:30pm on a cold Friday night and the place was half full. By 7:30pm, not a single table was available, so plan accordingly and arrive before peak meal times. The space is small, not good for parties larger than 6. The reassuring Seats maybe 25 people at a time, max. Two tiny tables for two are available outdoors (no heating). Casual ambiance, modern music playing in the background. Suitable for a quick bite with friends. Relaxing and chill. Staff were efficient and courteous. The food was disappointing. Fried Calamari with Spicy Mayo appetizer was tiny for $13. Calamari were delicate, the batter fell right off. The $12 chicken & shrimp steamed dumplings (4 pieces) were completely bland if you do not count the red chilly powder sprinkled on top, to give them a much needed boost. How sad. Do not recommend. $16 chicken pad Thai had a watered down sauce and tasted not like your typical pad Thai. At least the portion size was filling. $16 chicken drunken noodles was inedible--the sauce was completely wrong and tasted like cough syrup. The staff were nice enough to bring me another dish, free of charge. Forgettable experience, you can find better in the area. read more
I can't say enough good things about Sticky Rice. It's not every day that I walk into a restaurant and immediately feel a vibe of love and amazing energy. Honestly, I felt such positivity the moment I walked in. The first things that will probably get your attention is how wonderful the restaurant is decorated, and the great music. Probably the next will be the delicious aroma coming from the kitchen. You will certainly fall in love with the friendly staff as well. The customer service here is outstanding in every way. I will certainly return for all the aforementioned things but I will certainly return for the food as well On this trip, I enjoyed a nice Basil stir-fry shrimp with rice. I had steamed dumpling to start and chased it all down with their special Chili Thai margarita. As I mentioned from the start, Sticky Rice is more than a restaurant, it's an experience. You will feel the love in everything. The food and folks and ambiance- trust me on this and visit as soon as you can. It was a delight to write this review. read more
Truly a 5/5. Best pad thai I've had in my life and our server was lovely. The lunch combo was phenomenal (got pad thai and that Thai dumplings. Friend got the veggie dumplings ) both phenomenal. Calamari appetizer and coconut soup were a highlight as well. Relatively cheap in our current inflation climate! $15 for the combo alone. Cozy ambiance, lovely for a date and group outting. Cannot recommend this place enough read more
We came on a very cold Valentine's Day which was surprisingly not as busy as it should have been. There was no wait, and we were even given the choice to be served with hot water immediately upon being seated on that very frigid day. Amazing service with very unique food! We tried the railroad fried rice, crisp pork belly pad thai, and khao soi/kow soy (curry noodles) which were all fantastic. We especially loved the pad thai and khao soi! read more

ive been to sticky rice multiple times and have thoroughly enjoyed it. i went yesterday and had a horrible experience. first off we were not greeted and were left at our table for 30 minutes without putting in an order. it wasn't that busy (thursday night). my girlfriend ordered fried rice and while eating it she discovered there were SHARDS OF GLASS in her meal. we showed the waiter and then 20 minutes later he brought over a new fried rice. when i received the check i assumed the fried rice would be comped due to the danger of the glass. i asked and he said "what do you mean, we gave you another one", then i said it was pretty dangerous and he said ok i'll give you 10% off. i received the check and there was only 10% off the fried rice ($1 and some change). i am extremely disappointed and will not be coming back. read more
Walking pass this place, a friend and I stopped straight in our spots because of the amazing smells coming out of this place. Spices galore! We just had to have dinner here. Their outdoor seating is a bit odd, they have a few tables right in from of their restaurant and a few high tops across the street. I ordered veggie pad thai for dinner. I wish it was a bit hotter in spice but it was very tasty. I loved how they added fried tofu for some protein. My friend ordered the pineapple fried rice. She said it was good and that it had a bit of a kick. What was disappointing was the drinks. We loved the lower price point for cocktails then most of the places near here but they weren't mixed well and kind of bland. Definitely a food go to spot rather then a drink with your friends spot. The sangria was all juice so I would order something else if you go, mojito was oka and the aperol spritz was the best. read more

I stumbled upon this place while looking for something to bite on one Sunday evening in the lower east side. So glad I found this Thai spot. I was with my husband and a friend and they accommodated seating for us on the outside. This is still covid season here in New York so restaurants are doing outdoor dining. They also had a bottle of hand sanitizers for patrons to use as well as their menus were in plastic, i am guessing for ease of cleaning afterwards. I had the garlic fries with spicy mayo and some spicy wings which both tasted very very good. I also saw that they had cocktails and variety of wines and beer available. Will definitely be back at Sticky Rice. read more
Visited this place for a somewhat impromptu dinner while in NY for a wedding. It's a cozy restaurant with fast service! I opted for the dinner combo with chicken pad Thai and chicken satay. Pad Thai was delicious!! Highly recommend. The chicken satay was ok. It was flavorful but a touch on the dry side. read more

Good Thai place, with a nice ambience, but i have certainly had better thai food just blocks away. the pad thai was just ok. i did really enjoy the green curry with shrimp which was nice and spicy, but the shrimp seemed a bit small. read more
Solid food with the cutest decorations! We came here on a Friday night cruising around Chinatown area trying to find a place to eat that didn't have a long wait or cash only and we stumbled upon Sticky Rice. They had the coolest amount of decorations for Halloween and thought this would be a neat place to eat. We waited less than five minutes and was seated. The menu looks enticing and though I have been craving Thai food for awhile I decided to have the small plates and ordered the Mango Flower Steamed dumplings. It's one of their signatures consisting of chopped chicken, roasted peanuts, sweet radish, and Thai herbs. The presentation and taste of the dish stood out for me within the first bite. Granted the dumplings could have been a tad bigger but it was pretty tasty! If you decide to order a main or noodle dish, you won't be disappointed with their portion sizes. My two friends ordered the Spicy Basil Drunken Noodles and Low Carb Pad Thai (Gluten Free). Both looked delicious and they were both left satisfied. Another standout to point out is the punctual in service. The servers were attentive with checking up on us and our waters were refilled constantly which was great! The next time I come back to try this place I want to order the noodles or curry dish and try the mango sticky rice desserts! They also have plenty of options for cocktail drinks and overall this place is worth a try. read more

Looking around the neighborhood on a Saturday night to see what was available for outdoor seating. Came to this spot which only had about a thirty minute wait before the corner table outside became free. Plastic barriers separate each table, as well as heat lamp keeping the place plenty warm. After a quick look at the menu, settled on the Chicken Masaman Curry ($17), side of Roti Paratha ($3.50), and a "Thai Spicy" Margarita ($10). Cocktail comes out first - a chili flake covered glass with a strong tequila/juice ratio. For some reason the drink is extremely pulpy, which made for more chewing than drinking. Food comes out soon after - a moderate sized plate of marinated chicken and vegetables served with rice. After a few bites, realized the chicken and broth are incredibly sweet; something I wasn't expecting at all. Rice helped a bit but wasn't able to overcome the sweetness. The side of roti paratha is small considering the price - about half the size of a normal roti, sliced into tiny tortilla triangles. The roti itself is very greasy, which didn't pair well with the sweet chicken curry. Had to discard most of the meal in the end. Plus one star for the friendly service and quick delivery of food. Maybe came on an off night, but didn't like any of the items I had ordered. read more
