Came here with friends since the review was very good. Had high expectations. But unfortunately it fell through. The food flavor was okay. The worse part within 20 mins of eating the food still in the restaurant I had a very bad stomach ache. I was going to give it about a 2-3 star. But the immediate bathroom usage after eating all the food brought it down to a 1. The staff was super friendly. But the food. I wont come back.

KIMMI is a gluten free haven. All the food was phenomenal. The star of the meal was the short braised rib. Highly recommend even if you're not gluten-free, the food is just that good. The service was absolutely great. The hostess and our server were fantastic. The restaurant was small, but had a beautiful intimate ambience. They have a great view of the Manhattan Bridge. The mocktails were divine and my wife enjoyed her wines.

Sooo good, even if you're not gluten free! We got the garlic noodles, short rib, and Brussels sprouts and everything was packed with flavor. The short ribs melted right in your mouth, noodles were just the right amount of spice and the Brussels sprouts came with these crispy noodles on top that really elevated the dish. Must try, especially if you're GF!

This place is sooo GOOD!! I've been to their sister restaurant, Tiger Lily, so I had high hopes, and KIMMI did not disappoint. I came here with my boyfriend on a Saturday night without a reservation but we were still able to grab great seats at the bar around 6:30pm (I'd definitely recommend getting a resy because it gets busy). From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming. They offered coat check and got us settled right away. Our bartender was super friendly and funny, and gave amazing recommendations for both food and drinks. As someone with celiacs, I love dining at places with 100% gluten free menus especially when it doesn't break the bank. My boyfriend has a coconut allergy, so we had to skip the noodles, but by the end of the night we were so full it didn't even matter. We shared the mango papaya salad (fresh with a little kick), the grilled octopus (my favorite of the night, SO good, and still thinking about it), and the Arancini Rice Balls with yuzu aioli which were mouthwatering. For our main, we ordered the seared market fish with bok choy. This is where the service really stood out...because of my boyfriend's allergy, they brought out separate Asian greens free of charge so he could still enjoy the dish without the coconut-based dressing. Such a thoughtful touch. (Thanks again!!) I had the Seoul Crusher- served in the cutest panda mug, and he had a cider and sake which he thought were both great. Overall, 5/5. Amazing food, incredible service, beautiful ambiance, and officially one of my favorite gluten-free spots in the city. We'll definitely be back!

I can't rave enough about the Peach salad and the short ribs! With a beautiful view of the Manhattan Bridge, the vibe is cool and casual and relaxed. We were guided by our excellent server, Tabitha, who was attentive, detailed, and super friendly! Couldn't believe it's a gluten free restaurant. I highly recommend the cheesecake dessert too. We will definitely be back soon to try everything!!

Delicious gluten free food you wouldn't know was all gluten free. Arancini and spicy tuna crispy rice are a must and the chili garlic noodles and red curry chicken are my favorite entrees

Four of went here on a Saturday evening for dinner. We had a reservation. Everything looked good on the menu and I was elated everything was gluten-free. We had: crunchy goddess salad (basically guac), spicy tuna rice cakes (one for each of us), peanut street noodles (fun -- I liked them but a friend said she'd had a better version), brussel sprouts (hard to go wrong), five spiced short rib (tasty!), grilled pork belly skewers (melt-in-your-mouth delicious), and carrot cake (decent). The weird thing was that the staff made us feel like we were in a rush. Multiple times they tried to take dishes before we finished and then once they actually did. We were all astounded because we would have ordered more food but they effectively wouldn't let us. We also tried to order coffee but they didn't have any... which seemed a bit odd. So, I think the food is good, the location was great, but the service was weird.

Delicious shareables (peanut street noodles top, left is braised short rib, and right is the red curry chicken!)

This place is INSANELY good. I loved everything we tried, and we tried a lot. The crispy rice cakes with tuna, peanut street noodles, and braised short rib were standouts. The red curry chicken with coconut rice was excellent. And the mango papaya salad tasted so fresh and vibrant. Then, they had sixteen mill donuts available for dessert? Are you kidding me; this place is a celiac/gluten free persons dream.

Open only a week and already filling all the seats, both bar & dining. Warm ambiance-hello kitty combined with low key arty Asian . Octopus was very tasty if a bit under cooked. Head-on prawns were spicy & so delicious. Peanut street noodles need more peanut butter & perhaps some spice & garlic. Chocolate lava cake was sinfully rich & luscious. We don't drink but they have a well chosen wine & cocktail list. Service was friendly & efficient. Doorman is a nice touch. We can't wait to return.

Everyone seemed to enjoy them, suggesting one another to try this or that. The bartenders/ mixologists were on their A game. The drink menu is pretty extensive and from what I could see, our party choices ranged from wines to whisky's and several options between. The rooftop/patio was an extension of the comfortable but trendy decor. Great space for an evening, date or friend gathering. Dear Irving... well done. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

We went on a Friday night with a party of 3 and did a walk in. That was a risky move and to our luck, the hostess was so sweet and squeezed us in as the last party of the night!
