Love this place! I was looking for a place to get my wedding dress cleaned and preserved and found Continental Cleaners. The owner was great! First, he ran out to my car when I accidentally left my dress bag in the shop. Then he gave me a competitive price and when he forgot to give me the $5 discount (something I failed to notice) he gave me a call to let me know that I will have a $5 credit or refund when I came back. Once I came to pick up my dress, it was beautiful and clean! The customer service is amazing and their work is just as great. I'll be coming back anytime I need something dry cleaned. read more

I used this Cleaners because Ogdens was closed while being remodeled, I have used Ogdens for years with zero fading issues. Lets just say I work for the County Of San Diego. I took my fairly new (2months) green cargo pants to Continental. The pants were still dark green in perfect condition. I asked that the pants be dry cleaned and heavy starch. The pants ended up faded as if 2 years old. they looked as if they had been machine washed. I took another pair to show the guy and he kept saying he couldn't see any difference, These pants look severely faded when standing next to others at work. The guy should have made a honest attempt to fix this problem. I will never use this cleaners again. read more

Hands down one of the best alteration shops in San Diego. I took my dress for the Marine corps ball in on a Sunday afternoon after another alteration shop completely butchered it and they had every mistake fixed by Tuesday afternoon. ( Let's also add in the fact that I am 30 weeks pregnant and have a form fitting dress) I absolutely love how the dress fits me now and it cost me less to get the dress realtered and dry-cleaned here than the previous alteration boutique. I used Continental Cleaners to alter and to dry cleaning my party dress, and the experience was amazing. My dress was too big and it had small stains which I thought will not come out. Also Amir told me these stains sometimes don't come out but they will do their best to remove them. When I came to pick it up, I shocked when I tried it on. WOW Wonderful and Awesome work. I read the good Yelp reviews for Continental Cleaners and decided to make the trek to go a bit farther from home for great service. I wasn't disappointed. The husband and wife team were super friendly on the phone and in person. I had a bridesmaid dress I needed hemmed and a new hook and eye for. I also thought it wouldn't zip up and may need to have it corset-backed. They said they were able to do whatever was needed and I tried on the dress as soon as I walked in - they helped me immediately. After trying on the dress they were able to zip it just fine - turns out not having that hook and eye was more crucial than I thought. Although I was a bit embarrassed, I was glad I didn't have to get it altered to have made into a corset back after all. They didn't get frustrated once at the confusion and immediately marked my dress for the hem work. They offered additional alterations at the bust, etc. but I didn't feel it was necessary. A week later I came back and the hem was done perfectly. They had forgotten to add the eye on and when I mentioned it they took it to the back immediately to sew it and it was done in less than three minutes. Overall incredible service and I'll be going to Continental Cleaners in the future for all of my dry cleaning and alteration needs :) read more

I have probably been here nearly every day for the last week. They have taken care of several of my clothing alterations as well as my husband's suit dry cleaning. I've been very pleased with service before and the finished product. Definitely dubbed this place my go-to spot. I came in due to perfect Yelp reviews and totally understand why this small husband and wife run place gets 5 stars every time. They are kind, accommodating, and most of all...the quality of their work is impressive. AND I love the $5 Off $35+ or more deal. Always a nice bonus to have that last $5 taken off! I have had dresses made longer, shirts made smaller, and patches sewn on my jackets. They are very quick and inexpensive as well. Pola measured the suit for alterations but it was so big I wasn't sure how it was going to turnout. Fast service! Amir and Pola are a dynamic team! They are super efficient about getting alterations completed and at a very reasonable price. First I had a 95th birthday flannel night gown for my mother altered, and Pola used the left over material to make her a cute set of pot holders. My mother was delighted! Then I had Pola cover a back rest for lumbar support for my car. She added an artistic touch that was charming. Finally, I had Pola make a paneled table cloth to fit an odd sized table and she added a wonderful set of matching napkins with extra material, all in time for visiting relatives. I couldn't be happier! Amir is an effective manager, and Pola is a talented seamstress. Altogether, I consider Amir and Pola to be very special people, and I couldn't recommend their work more highly. read more

Too expensive and bad hours. I work from 8-6 so getting there during the week is tough. $2.75 to launder a shirt is exorbitant imo. They are nice to deal with and do a good job, so they're a good choice if you don't mind the price. read more

If you are looking for quality alterations I highly recommend Continental Cleaners. I took in a lace dress with a lining to see if it could be made smaller. Amir and Pola were so helpul and kind. Not an easy dress to alter, but when I picked it up, it fit and looked perfect! I was so impressed by the excellent work, integrity, customer service, and fast service!
