Please don't waste your time and money. Brought two items to be hemmed. Both were cut and hemmed completed unevenly. One was more than an inch shorter in one side than the other and the stitching was a mess. The stitch length was way too tight and caused bunching. The thread was some industrial thickness and had no business being used on a cotton skirt. The other was shorter in the front than the back and also uneven in the front. I gave them a chance to fix the skirt but it was still a mess. I can't believe this place is still in business given the poor workmanship. I had to take my items to another place for them to try to fix the atrocity created by this place. What a waste of time and energy. read more

This shop went above and beyond by using a better zipper than what I brought in foe them to use. They are a great value- considering a paid a fraction of what I would have paid to buy new clothing and a backpack. I had a few pairs of jeans brought in at the waist. Very friendly and did an excellent job. Was very helpful when figuring out the sizing I wanted when trying them on. It took about a week and a half, I had 4 items, but I wasn't in a rush so it was perfect! I've been here years ago to fix a ripped seam in a pair of jeans as well and they fixed that perfectly. It should be two lines with pick at the side.The owner claimed he cut it off and didn't save it, so he didn't know what the original style should be... Come on.... even the sewing pitch is off.....Maybe I should take a photo as before. Maybe I should remind him of the design when I hang over the pants to him..... I had him hem pants and tailor shirts that's been sitting in my closet since the pandemic. I must have brought in at least a dozen articles of clothing and he was patient as I tried on everything so that we could take measurements. After he finished, everything fit perfectly! I never went to a tailor before so I was a bit afraid of what could go wrong, but I had a very quick, pleasant experience! The process was very simple: walk in, try on the items and let the staff know what fit I want, drop off my items and wait. They are nice and made sure I liked where they put their pins. I think the price is reasonable and the pants looked and fit perfect afterwards. Be sure to bring cash when you pick up though, since they don't accept card. I had 3 pairs of pants in my closet that I never really got to wear because of the length and waist bands. I decided to get them tailored instead of donating them. Two were flowy pants and one pair of Business slacks. I think the Tailor did a great job! I was able to try on the pants there and he was able to pin at my desired length etc. All done in about a week and came out to $66 for 3 hems and 2 waistbands. $20 to alter the length of my bridesmaid dress. The couple who owns this store is very nice and didn't rip me off. I went to several alteration shops they all charge me $40+ to alter this dress that i had. But this couple, said that they can just shorten the first layer of the dress and gave me advice on what to do if the two inner layers are long and are exposing. They helped me save $20! They were fast and did a great job too. Turns out i didnt even need to do anything with the two inner layers! it was perfect. When i went to try on the dress for the final fitting, one of the buttons came undone and the owner just sewed it right then and there for me at no charge. i recommend this location for alteration and tailoring. read more

I needed a formal dress hemmed and alter last minute, I was desperate to find a tailor who not only can get the job done in less than 48 hours, but also not charge me an arm and a leg. Understanding that I may have gotten charged extra due to the last minute request, this tailor shop actually charged me less than the previous place I had gone to, and they took 2 weeks to alter the first tine around! This shop is ran by a husband and wife team, and are also super nice and accommodating. My dress was ready after one day. I'm highly recommending this place! Not very friendly. Came in asking to fix a button in a coat, and he flat out refused, no explanation. His English is not that good, so maybe it's a cultural chasm. Contrast this with another alteration place in Mira Mesa, that said they don't have the tools and even gave me a business card of a nearby shoe repair place that could fix it. Also, they charge a bit much. $13 to repair a zipper on a small pillow case. Better to buy new stuff than come here. read more
