This cleaner always work perfect for me. When I have some major stains, they try many times to try to make it perfect again. Alteration and dry cleaning always come out nicely. I see a lot of negative reviews here, which personally I can not relate, and never happend to me so far when I came here for years. Only Con is sometimes they did not get my clothes ready in time due to short staffing or machine problems but one time i needed one of my clothes for wedding, they were very nice and owners delivered it to my house personally and apologized for not making that on time. Don't ever do alteration at here.What I want them to do is make the dress side and braces shorter.The first time I went to pick up my dress, one corner of the dress didn't be stitched .They told me I can leave my dress there,they could fix it.So I have to go there to pick my dress for second time.But there still had a lot of problem on my dress.The dress's alignment are terrible.The braces's seam didn't be stitched. They really ruined the dress.It's really a nice dress.I put the pics in the album,the blue dress one.Everyone can see how there alteration skill. It's official - I have a new dry cleaner!!! :) My husband's butter-soft handmade Argentinian suede jacket had stains from ice cream (don't ask!), beer, and other dirt. Yikes! I thought it was ruined. I started researching vendors and asking for cost estimates. Poway Cleaner told me upfront it would take several weeks and quoted me a price. When I picked it up, I couldn't believe my eyes - they not only brought it back to life, but it was ready on the day they promised, and at the price we discussed (note: they were more price-friendly than other vendors I spoke with). I love supporting a small, family-owned business, and the husband and wife team that operate the place were friendly and courteous to me both on the phone and in the store. read more

I would give this place three thumbs up if I had three thumbs! My husband has Kobe Bryant's high school jersey from Lower Marion. He spilled something on it and it has been stained for a couple of years. We did not think we could save it Because we had tried to get it cleaned before but we decide one more time. This time we brought it to Poway cleaners on pomerado road in the same plaza as Carl's Jr, the pancake House and Target. When we drop the garment off he did let us know that it is possible he would not be able to get the stain completely out. We understood because it had been there so long. We were completely excited today when we picked up the jersey and the stain was not only gone but the jersey was returned to its normal color. Very friendly but extremely overpriced! For three sweaters they charged $26. I usually go to the cleaners on poway road near wing stop and it's faster and way more affordable. I stopped here because it was on my way home and it's my fault for not asking the price- but $26??!! My sweaters didn't have any stains or anything special to treat. I won't be returning. read more

I have been coming to this cleaner for a lil over a month now. I have been using their services for the convenience factor that they are literally a 2 minute drive from my home. Unfortunately when they stated my dry cleaning was to be done by Wednesday after 4pm, I arrived at 650pm and was hoping that extra time would help. Alas, no phone call stating that their machine was broken, no phone call stating that they were behind. Just a shrug of the shoulders saying come back tomorrow. Fortunately it was only a day late but with a lack of customer service that needs improvement I will not be returning. I wish I could leave Zero stars. The dry cleaner ruined a sentimental item. It came back completely faded and torn. He actually blamed it on me saying the item was left there in torn condition!!! He claimed they were not at fault because the item was "old." No offer to compensate or try to reconcile the situation. I am going to file a complaint with the BBB. Avoid this cleaner. If they are so incompetent to take an item and ruin it and not admit fault you do not want to leave any item there!! Any experienced cleaner would explain potential damage by being careful and point out alleged tears or rips if they are in the garment before accepting it! read more

I'll start by saying I have never written a review, I'm just not that type of person, but my experience at Poway Cleaners was the worst I have ever had. On Monday 2/10/2020 I went to the cleaners at 4:45 PM to drop off three basketball jerseys which I planned to sell after having them spot cleaned. These items were 15+ years old and were meticulously taken care of; never worn, no tears, no fading, or anything prior to drop off aside from some small stains (water spots). I spoke to "Young", We both went through the jerseys with red tape to mark the spots I wanted removed and I specifically stated that I wanted "JUST THE SPOTS" done. After discussing all matters she stated that she would need until The 15th. I asked if it could be done by The 13th as I planned to sell them that upcoming weekend, she agreed. I thanked her and left. I got a text on the 13th stating my items were done, the text was towards the end of the day and I was unable to pick them up. I went on the 14th at 8:00 AM to pick up my items. When I arrived "Young's" husband was assisting customers. I handed him my stub and he insisted to take care of payment before getting my items. I didn't see anything wrong and happily payed my bill. He handed me my items, I thanked him, and headed back to my car. I decided to check my items prior to leaving since I have never used their services before, and it was at that moment while unpacking them that I was at a loss for words. My mint condition collectable items were ALL ruined! Not only were stains still present, it looked as if all of them were sprayed with solution(s) which discolored, faded, stained, and ripped the stitching off the items! Immediately I took my items back into the store to find out why this had happened. The husband was completely unhelpful, not listening to any of my concerns, all he muttered was the phrases; "they were very dirty", "they are very old", "we did our best".  After seeing I was getting nowhere with him, I asked to speak with Young. He stated that she would be in later that day. After asking several times, I finally got the contact information. I called, Young responded nicely, and I stated in detail my concerns about my items. Like a pre-rehearsed script she started with the same phrases as the husband; "they are very old", That's the best we can do", "they were very dirty", and so on. After about 5-8 minutes of unproductive conversation I stated that neither of them were listening to my concerns and that I was unsatisfied with the service. I was not going to pay to have my items ruined and demanded a refund. Now with an irritated voice, she said she couldn't give me a refund but would speak to her husband to come to a solution and hung up. I'll mention that the entire time I was either inside the store or within sight of the husband right outside. I waited around 30 minutes, finally I was tired of being ignored and called the number again. The wife answered, again very nicely, and I asked if she spoke with her husband about my refund. Once she heard me she LITERALLY said "ARE YOU STILL THERE!?" That told me she not only never called her husband but she did not care to resolve the problem. After being taken back for a second I replied "yes, I'm STILL here". She then went on to regurgitate the same lines as before. After about another 10 minutes of unproductive words from her I said they could willingly refund my money or I would cancel the payment through my bank. After that her demeanor changed, she started telling me "you're a bad person", "it's not my fault you can't take care of your items properly" and so on. For about another 2-3 minutes she just insulted me and lashed out. After I had a second to get a word in I let her know that I had taken photos of the items prior to dropping them off and had proof that my items were not in the condition they were in upon pickup. She became silent, I guess at that moment she knew there was proof they ruined the items, she lashed out again and said "go get your refund" ending with, "don't ever come back to my store again!" I went inside, the husband was angrily speaking to his spouse on the phone while I waited. Minutes went by as they continued to angrily banter in an unknown language to me before the husband printed out a refund ticket and basically threw it at me telling me to leave. I have never had an experience like this before and was blown away that this is how they treat their paying customers. Not only did they ruin my items, they treated me disrespectfully, they did nothing to resolve the problem, they didn't take ownership of their mistake,and blamed everything on me. I was so disgusted on how I was treated that it compelled me to write this review. There is no reason to treat paying customers like that, EVER! read more

They didn't let me know they weren't ready so I wasted time and gas, in addition to not having my clothes that I needed. They weren't even apologetic.
