That was around the time when the nail tech walked over to me for the first time to ask if I had chosen a color, not when my feet were in the water or when I was receiving the service, as I stated. She also walked away after the initial contact and returned a couple times, throwing supplies on her cart before proceeding. Regardless of that, my Zelle payment for tip was also confirmed at 6:54pm. So I do want to acknowledge that my time there was about an hour and a half total from my arrival/ appointment time. There was also not a "light residue" of the scrub left, there was literal exfoliating pieces/ beads and cream that I was able to scrape off my leg with my fingernail. There is no need to note my preferences as I will not be going back. If I had known that later appointments were known to be thrown off schedule, I would've just showed up late so I didn't have to wait. There was no update or follow up. While I understand it is the business owners responsibility to ensure all reviews are accurate, the repeated attempt to disprove what I stated was unnecessary when the issue still stands: my appointment time was not honored, i had literal pieces of scrub and gel on my leg, and someone used a cuticle cutter to PULL pieces of my toenail off without asking me. I understand these services are a luxury; I would not come in expecting to be waited on but I do expect basic communication and respect. The service and response were both disappointing.

This time, my nails were severely over-filed to the point that three of my natural nails broke and became incredibly brittle--something I've never experienced before. I should have spoken up that day, but it was right before the Fourth of July, and they were extremely busy. When I returned, they recognized me and offered to soak off the gel. Since my manicure didn't even last a week because of their poor work, I assumed they would accommodate me with at least a basic manicure while my nails healed. Instead, they recommended builder gel, saying it would help my nails recover. I trusted their recommendation, only to find out I was being charged $60 for a more expensive service. I would have been perfectly fine with a basic manicure until my nails healed from the damage caused during my original appointment. To make matters worse, both of my thumbs bled during the service, and despite everything, there was no discount, apology, or real effort to make the situation right. It wasn't just the manicure that disappointed me--it was how the situation was handled. As a returning customer, I left feeling like my loyalty wasn't valued at all

I came in to the store as a walk in, not knowing that this is a black owned nail salon! The environment was absolutely wonderful and they did such a good job. The nail tech who did my french tip pedicure had great energy and made sure that I was happy with her work! I am so happy that I stumbled across this salon. I found this spot randomly on Father's Day and decided to go for it. I was nervous because it was my first time walking into a new place and I didn't want it to be awkward. When I walked in they were very welcoming and took care of me. I loved how clean they were and how sanitized everything was, making me feel comfortable there. The Good: The guy who did my manicure is amazing--super nice, friendly, and did a great job on my nails. The woman who handled my pedicure was also wonderful, and her work was top-notch. The Not-So-Good: The nail tech doing my design, however, didn't even bother to say hello. Throughout the service, she never asked how I was doing or checked if everything looked okay. My cuticles were left looking really rough, and she skipped the basic courtesy of applying any oil or lotion at the end. In fact, it was so bad that I ultimately asked her to skip the design on my ring fingers because I didn't want to draw any more attention to it. Ironically, my pedicure technician was the one who noticed how dry my hands looked and kindly handed me some oil. To top it off, when the tech finishing my nails was done, she didn't even say thank you. The Verdict: At $130 for a Gel-X set, the baseline expectation is that your cuticles will look presentable and you'll receive basic courtesy. (Mind you $35 for gel, $10 for French tip and $10 for the chrome) which I don't mind paying to get pampered but this was gel manicure. Which they forgot to even put on the dehydrator and primer. And I didn't realize this until like 3 days later because they started to lift, and on the 7th day I was able to peel them off completely. At the end of the service they did turn out very beautiful and I was really happy, but they didn't last at all, the second day the chrome part was the first thing to come off. I wasn't angry at them because I tend to have a huge heart, I just felt bad because they were trying their best and I ended up tipping both ladies.
